My husband and I stayed here in late November this year for his birthday weekend - and this was by far one of the most memorable boutique B&Bs we've had the pleasure of staying in. We stayed in the top loft room, with gorgeous exposed rafters, and lovely decor. Breakfast was delicious. The proprietress, Caroline, was so very welcoming -- we will definitely come back in the summer - cannot wait to see the outdoor garden in full bloom.
We stayed 4 days and enjoyed the romantic atmosphere, the great location on the canal, the romantic house and rooms. And, above all, Caroline is wonderful. My woman is fully vegan, she doesn't eat no cheese, no meat, no eggs, no milk. We asked Caroline if she can do something about it, and the result, an excellent vegan breakfast is in the picture. I'm not adding pictures of the room and all other house amenities, because there are many good picture already here. Very recommended for a romantic stay in Bruges.
We stayed for only 2 nights but had a wonderful time. The B&B was perfect in every way - perfect location, perfect night's sleep, perfect breakfast, and Caroline the proprietress was helpful, kind, and incredibly informative about things to do. We will be back to Bruges for sure, and will definitely stay at the Cote Canal again. I cannot recommend this B&B highly enough.
We stayed in Clin d' Oil (sp) a gorgeous large room with 14 (?) foot ceilings, a sitting area, a desk, a free standing tub as well as a shower. There is a steep flight of stairs up to the rooms. Location is excellent - steps away from the Burg and the Markt. We had the use of the downstairs living room, kitchen and garden overlooking the canal. Breakfast was a small buffet with mostly cold items but one small pot of scrambled eggs. We stay at B&Bs to chat with other guests, which we did here. Let Caroline outline on a map a lovely walk around the city away from the crowds.
We stayed for only one night while in transit. What a lovely experience. Our friends were shifting luggage out of their B&B by mid-morning while Caroline made our stay so easy by giving us access to the house even after we had vacated our room. Breakfast was delicious and far more than just a 'continental' one. Caroline couldn't have been more helpful in suggesting places to visit. She even insisted on re-packing my Easter eggs so they would arrive home intact which they did. We will certainly stay at Cote Canal if we return to Bruges.
