Frieda and Benno are wonderful hosts. The house is on a quiet side street, yet is a five minute walk to the central square. They have a lovely garden that you can sit or walk in. Our room was large and comfortable. Their breakfasts are large, have a great variety, and very tasty. Frieda and Benno are interesting people and... More

This was our first stay in B&B and made us feel comfortable. Very pleasant owners, delicious breakfast served , perfect location in the center of the old city, room was clean and comfortable with private bathroom that gave as a feel how the local people live in their own and old houses. Room was decorated with personal art and older... More

This is the gold standard of B&B's and we reluctantly share it with others. Freida and Benno are consummate hosts and pamper their guests just enough without being in the way. The breakfasts are lovely. The rooms are spacious, and the location is perfect. If you don't stay there when in Bruges, the only reason should be that you waited... More

We loved this B & B. You are in part of a lovely home, and have the best of both worlds--privacy, and part of a home. We were the only ones there, and had the breakfast table to ourselves. Wow! Plates with wildflowers, flowers on the table, and a view into the courtyard garden. We lingered over our meal, and... More

My boyfriend and I were traveling to Bruges and wanted to stay in a B&B to get a more authentic experience. From the moment we walked in the door we were welcomed by Frieda & Benno. They gave us guides and their suggestions of what we should go see. They were available to help us if we needed something, but... More

We had the most delightful time in Bruges at the Absoluut Verhulst. Owned by Benno and Frieda, this B&B is a great place to stay. They have only 3 large comfortable rooms, which include a mini fridge and coffee/tea. Breakfast is sumptuous, with lots of choices, including made-to-order omelettes! The hosts are very friendly and full of information. It is... More

We found it difficult to leave Frieda and Benno's home, if possible we would like to skip Paris, our next destination, just to stay for a few more days. We had high hope before staying at their sweet place and we were not let down, not even a bit. Chef Benno's specially made egg cuisine is the light up of the already... More

Frieda and Benno are wonderful people and it was such a pleasure to be their guest. Breakfast was out of this world good. They think of ways to make you feel special. My first stay in a B & B and my daughter picked the best. Our family had the top floor and it worked very well for 4 adults... More
