Jason and Sandra were amazing hosts and couldn’t do enough for us during our stay, from giving tips for getting round the city and recommendations for restaurants. The Townhouse is beautiful, including the stunning entrance and the beautiful bedrooms with no detail missed. Breakfast is included in the room rate and sets you up for a day touring the city. Fruit, cereals, yogurt, eggs, bacon (option for scrambled eggs, smoked salmon), pastries, bread (fresh from the local bakery). Absolutely delicious!
The Townhouse is located within the canal system in the city, most of the main areas being a 5-10 mins walk away, but is quiet and the beds are so comfy.
Will definitely stay here if we are in Brugge again and wouldn’t hesitate to recommend to others.

From welcome to good-bye, we experienced superb service and care. A lovely couple runs the place and provided great advice on tips to enjoy Bruges and a nearby beach. If you are lucky, you may get to enjoy breakfast service from their teenage son. Breakfast was delicious -- different egg choices, cheeses, a selection of bread and pastries, fruit, and yogurt. We stayed three nights and the location allowed us to walk readily to any location in the town. The room we stayed in was large with a modern bathroom that featured a tub and a separate shower with amazing water pressure. You can also get parking for an extra 15 euros a day if you need it and the hosts even did our laundry for a small fee. We hope to go back!

As I write this review, I'm currently sat in the lovely Cinnamon Suite. I booked direct through the website, and throughout communication with Jason has been superb.
We arrived by Eurostar and took a taxi from the station. Cost was €8 . Its walkable but we'd had a long day due to Eurostar queue being horrendous.
On arrival we were met by Jason who gave us fresh fruit smoothies and a run down of the best sites to visit and a general overview of main points of interest. Before arrival Jason had also offered to book us a restaurant for our evening meal, which is a nice touch. We were shown the breakfast room before being taken to our room.
One thing to note, the stairs are very steep and no lift is available, so if you have mobility issues this will be something you have to consider.
The room is well appointed and to a high standard, toiletries are good and the hospitality tray stocked with the usual tea, coffee and water. There's also some Belgian chocolates.
Free WiFi is good, plenty of space for your clothes and the bed is comfy, there is some road noise due to the road service, but I had a good night's sleep. The shower is good, very powerful and hot.
The breakfast room is nice and the food is very good. Good selection available that included yoghurt, cereal, bread with jams and nutella, croissants, ham, and cheese. Also choice of bacon, fried eggs, omelets, scrambled egg and salmon. Also cake if you could manage it.
Jason is very approachable and knowledgeable and gave some good tips on places to ear and things to do.
The breakfast room also has an honesty bar if you need it.
Location wise, its perfect and everything is a short stroll away.
If you're planning a stay in Bruge look no further than The Townhouse.
Thank you Jason and Sandra for a wonderful first visit to Bruges.

Location: Inside the old town, walking distance to all major attractions, 10 minute will get you to the market place (lazy stroll), as many to the begijnhof, so everything within just a short walk. Including a supermarket and of course dozens of shops with beers and chocolate. Oh and restaurants as well of course. Parking is rare but they have a dedicated place just on the other side of the street.
Room. We had the one pretty high up. This might be the only negative, especially the first stair is not easy to navigate, certainly not for people who are not really good on their feet. But the room was cozy, lovely decorated, practical, clean, big enough to spend an afternoon in (it was not raining, it was pouring) well insulated against noise (cobblestone street) and had a wonderful view.
Staff: From the first moment we felt very welcomed, we received a lot of good info about the town, some insidertips and were always greeted with a smile and no question was too much.
Food. There is breakfast and a more than decent one. Bread, cold cuts, cereals, eggs to your liking, pastries... way too much to eat it all and I am certain there were more things. Pretty much enjoyed it and it made for a healthy and satisfying start into the day. The pice level for the well stocked honesty bar is very reasonable as well.
Public areas. Clean and nicely decorated as well. Sadly we could not use the real nice looking outside spaces due to the weather.
All in all: Not the cheapest stay in Bruges, but certainly a very friendly and cosy and familiar one, if we go back to Bruges our place to stay is already decided upon.

It has been two years since our last visit to Bruges due to the pandemic and we were so relieved to be back in the city and at our favourite stay in Bruges - The Townhouse. It’s been such a difficult period for the hospitality sector throughout the pandemic but it was fab to see the standards at The Townhouse are still as high as ever. Sandra and Jason are such great hosts, the rooms are large and well equipped with high quality furnishings and toiletries, while breakfast is as good as you will find anywhere with lots of variety and all really tasty and using top quality produce. For those wondering about venturing out at the minute we had no issues in getting into bars and restaurants and the welcome we received was as warm as ever. And to cap it all we’ve come back and are fine! Thanks for the stay guys and look forward to seeing you again in 2022!

Staying at the Townhouse was one of the highlights of our trip! The owners reached out before we arrived and were very responsive. Upon arrival, Jason sat us down with a map and walked us through the city, asking what we were interested in and tailoring recommendations.
We stayed in the Blueberry Suite- it was absolutely perfect. So comfortable, decorated beautifully, had great views, with over the top touches from Sandra and Jason throughout. Fresh water, coffee, tea, welcome chocolate, FRESH FLOWERS both days!! If we had any “chill” in us, it would have been the perfect space to relax with a book and coffee in the morning. Another over the top surprise here was the breakfast-multiple courses of incredible food, fresh home cooked by Sandra (and Jason?). They truly go above and beyond to make guests feel comfortable, and are a joy to chat with.
This was the best lodging experience we’ve ever had through travels to over 15 other European cities. The hospitality was the second to none, room was perfect, and there is no doubt we will be returning!

The stay was really nice! The hotel is a lovely Old Townhouse which is located in the Old City Center of Brugge. The rooms are very comfortable and spaceous. The breakfast is served by the host Jason, with whome one can have nice talks and receive great tips for sightseeing etc. Everything is very clean. We definetly recommend this accomodation and would live to stay again!

We spent a wonderful 3 days at this beautiful house. Perfect location for exploring Bruges (with parking if you need. We did and just left the car there). Gorgeous decor, high quality furnishings throughout. The family suite is perfect for a couple and 1/2 children as the kids have a separate room away from the bathroom and door and the adults a very comfortable super king bed. Breakfast was more plentiful than anticipated with fruit, yogurt, cereal, bread and pastries plus a choice of eggs. I need the eggs and bacon tips as our eldest has never eaten eggs all up like that before!
Super hosts are are on hand for anything you need but not imposing at all.
If we are going to visit Bruges again I only hope The Townhouse is available, it’s super!
Thank you to our hosts for a lovely stay

Wonderful establishment with amazing hosts. Breakfast was simple but you can keep asking for more. Great location and best of all, Jason the host will carry your luggage up and down the stairs and even load them into the cab. Your door access is personal and easily go remember. Nothing more to ask other than better weather do we can enjoy the outdoor space.

We stayed at The Townhouse for four nights after a bike and barge trip in the Netherlands. It was the perfect place for us to stay and explore Bruges. Jason and Sandra were so helpful with restaurant recommendations as well as what to visit in the city. The bountiful and delicious breakfast each morning fueled us for most of the day. The Townhouse is also conveniently located so that we could come back to it during the day if needed. We stayed in the Cinnamon Suite which was very spacious and perfect for us. When we had an early train to catch back to Amsterdam, Jason even fixed a bagged breakfast for us to take with us. We highly recommend The Townhouse.

Between 9 and 10, but can organise earlier if you have a train to catch.
All the rooms require stairs to get to as Bed & Breakfast accommodations are people's houses.
Luggage is carried up (and down) for you by the owners, however if you cannot do stairs, then the answer for you is a hotel with lift not a B&B.
Hope this helps.
Yes, we have 2 parking spaces that can be booked on a first come first serve basis at a cost of €10/night.
We do not have a restaurant on site, however there are many great restaurants within a few minutes walk - Resto Mojo & Bistro Christophe to name just 2!
Our price includes a freshly prepared 4 course breakfast, which 2 of our previous guests have very kindly answered for us too.
Hope this answers your question, however please email us on bookings@thetownhouse.be if you have anymore.
Kind regards, Sandra & Jason
