The service received here was terrible. The hotel only cares about money. Avoid if possible!! Have stupid and ridiculous policies. Happy to take advantage of potential customers. Staff are unhelpful terrible place.

Dear Carl H, Thank you for taking the time to write your review. Upon booking a room you deliberately chose a discounted 'non refunable' rate. Shortly before arriving you demanded a free cancellation which we had to decline given the rate you booked at. It is so sad to see you are quick to claim your advantages but shy away from your obligations. We believe in continuous mutual respect but is seems this principle does not appear in your vocabulary. I don't know what else than to feel very sad for these kind of short-sighted hostile reactions. Sincerely,

We had a room in the new wing. The room was clean and comfortable, but strangely had no storage at all - nothing to hang clothes on, no drawers. This didn't bother us,but may have bothered others. We didn't opt for the 9Euro breakfast, as there are plenty of cafe's or patisseries in the street and close by, so I can't comment on this, but I could see that the breakfast room has excellent views of the canal, should you choose this option. PROS - Excellent location - a minute from the main square and right by the Museum of Torture (if you like that sort of thing). Modern, clean room. Huge bathroom with both wetroom shower and bath with shower and shower enclosure. Basic toiletries supplied, with good hairdryer. Very quiet room with solid walls and doors - completely separate ensuite. Good flat screen TV. Small bar in reception. Very good bed - extra king size and very comfortable. Good heating system. CONS - Room lights as bright as spotlights. No subtle nighttime lighting - all or nothing. Window opened out onto a small air vent courtyard. No view. No storage.

Nice room, needs some improvement on bathroom though. We did do a budget room. It was comfortable enough for the night we stayed there. Staff very friendly and if you have breakfast in the morning try and sit by the window there were lovely views. Bruges is just beautiful anyway.
