We stayed here recently, there was not one thing to fault during our stay, we checked in shortly at 13.00 hrs, Veronique was exceptionally friendly, our room was clean , very comfortable and nicely decorated. Tea and Coffee facilities in the room. Breakfast the following morning was lovely fresh orange juice, fruit, yogurt's, meats bread and pastries and beautiful fresh linen table cloths on the tables. Location is perfect and we loved the garden off breakfast room Veronique was a great host and have no hesitation in recommending this hotel, hopefully we will be back again..
The hotel is in great location, very nice room, clean comfortable and very nice decorated. The breakfast was lovely. It is very nice small boutique hotel, the lady the owner that ran the hotel was very kind and helpful, she help us with all what we need and gave us great recommendations for 3 restaurants.
Wonderful hotel, we received a nice welcome from Veronique. Clean modern rooms. Quiet. lovely breakfast and great location, close to bars and restaurants. great price also. would highly recommend. and will return in the future!
The Hotel Alegria is a wonderful hotel which is in a perfect location, just a couple of blocks from the Markt center. The owners speak perfect English and are so welcoming and helpful. Our family highly recommends this hotel. A very nice breakfast was included. We thoroughly enjoyed our time in the beautiful city of Bruges. The owner, Veronique could not have been more hospitable, even bringing each guest at breakfast a freshly squeezed glass of orange juice. I wish we could have stayed in this lovely hotel longer than 3 nights. Thank you so very much for such a wonderful stay in your lovely hotel.
i gave this hotel 5 stars for it's wonderful hospitality, and it's location. Veronique the owner is a beautiful lady who couldn't have been more helpful and just a lovely lady. the hotel is a minute's walk from the main square with the belfry. it's not a 5 star with a spa or pool hotel, but it was just such a lovely stay, the rooms were lovely and warm with comfortable beds, and a safe. There was a nice continental breakfast provided with beautiful freshly squeezed orange juice. i couldn't recommend this hotel enough, it had beautiful character, and the foundations date back to the 1400s.
Stayed here whilst visiting Bruges for the Xmas Markets. Great location for the town centre. Lovely hotel with very nice owner/staff. The rooms where clean and spacious enough for what we needed. Breakfast is continental with plenty of it.
We chose this hotel for 3 nights as it was very close to the Markt centre, but in a fairly quiet street. It has an unusual entrance, I'm used to having shops in the lobby of larger hotels, but this hotel has it's reception in the middle of a hat shop! We were in Brugge for the marathon, and the location made it easy to walk to the race, as well as everywhere afterwards. The owner spent lots of time with us on arrival providing hotel and tourist information to go with the maps, much appreciated. She also made sure we could get our breakfast earlier than usual on race day, Our room (#2) was Gnd Floor rear overlooking a courtyard, very small for a double but well appointed and spotless. WiFi was good, and the TV had a long list of channels including BBC. Breakfast was the usual continental but fairly comprehensive, with nice cheeses and also freshly squeezed orange juice to order. I have some minor suggestions for improvement, firstly the in-room tea/coffee didn't include milk and was never replenished, secondly I realised after using it that the spare pillow provided had no slip. However, that's all being picky, I'd stay happily here again.…
We thoroughly enjoyed our stay. Location was fantastic, Veronique was very friendly and upon arrival gave us plenty of tips and recommendations, rooms were clean and the breakfast was different every day and very delicious! The breakfast room is beautiful and overlooking the garden. My only suggestion was that perhaps it would be nice to have some music in the breakfast room playing in the background because otherwise it is very quiet- I personally think this would add a nice touch to the breakfast experience. We had a room on the second floor facing the street but we did not find it noisy at all. Our room was very cosy and our bed was super comfortable. The hotel's location is great- it is within a few minutes walking distance from all major attractions.
This hotel is fantastic, Veronique was a very lovely host and helped us with recommendations for where to visit and eat. The breakfasts were very generous and we enjoyed the lovely dining room setting looking out to the garden. Rooms were on the small side with basic amenities but the charm of the hotel and excellent location made up for this shortcoming. Make sure you notify the host if arriving after 7pm as check in desk is not manned after that time.
This hotel was in a great location - we were able to walk everywhere. The room was lovely, very clean and decorated in a very tastefully. We were given plenty of information on arrival and whenever we had questions. Breakfast was wonderful - love the cheese, meat, fruit, danish, yogurt - plenty to eat before we headed out for the day. It was such a peaceful spot to return to when we needed a rest. We already look forward to our return! Thank you for making our getaway even more special!
