The owner and manager of this hotel are heartless. During the Covid crisis they were unwilling to post pone dates while their country is still on lock down, and not excepting US Travelers. Just lost over 3000 Euros, due to their unwillingness to be companionate or even care about their hotel guests. They literally opened the hotel just for our reservation, to say they were open during my stay dates, in order to abscond from their moral obligation. (see picture). This is the most despicable, and unethical business practice I have ever encountered. During this period of suffering, a business that is unwilling to help their consumers, is a business that does not deserve customers. If they are willing to treat their guests this way, one would come to the determination they do not care at all about the comfort or safety of their patrons. In a time of needed solidarity, the Hotel de Tuilerieen is showing their true colors, and how they view any tourist or visitor to their property. PLEASE DO NOT SUPPORT A COMPANY WILLING TO PROFIT FROM COVID. Their country isn’t even excepting US Travelers and they refuse to move dates, when they have no other reservation, and in fact blame us for having to hire a receptionist for the Monday of our reservation, when we could not show up! There are better properties to stay, and with ownership who actually care about their customers, lets support those willing to support us.…
We were underwhelmed with our stay. The hotel looks impressive but when we arrived last night we were disappointed to be given a ground floor room which smelled of sewage. Our room was apparently an upgrade, but when we asked to move to another room which did not smell of faeces they didn't have any other rooms free. There was a note on the desk wishing someone a happy birthday, presumably the person who had been allocated the room before us and also asked to change. We felt that in arriving late we had been given what was left. The only solution offered to deal with the smell was some kind of perfuming unit which clearly we were not comfortable having on all night, especially as I am pregnant and we were unsure about the fumes being emitted from the unit. We were offered no compensation or apology. The location of the room also meant that we could hear reception and the comings and going’s of guests clearly. The hotel denied responsibility for this, but some responsibility must be taken for not having soft-close doors and locating rooms near reception. We would not stay again and would not recommend this hotel.…
the center is very cozy and comfortable. all within walking distance. parking in front of the hotel. The hotel has delicious breakfasts and a lovely restaurant. Cozy spa with a warm pool and mini saunas.
I had read a lot about Bruges being a really romantic place and I wanted to book somewhere new and exciting. Well...it really is, charming and cosy and gorgeous!! It actually looks like an old castle fairy tale destination, and wow was the food brilliant as well. We booked really kinda last minute and we didnt want to overpay so basically just chose Tuilerieen on a whim and it paid off, the location is absolutely most ideal, and the hotel is so beautiful!! Thank you for a relaxing and romantic time, we loved you and we must return.
My daughter and I felt like we were staying in a palace for 3 nights! High ceiling, chandelier, huge marble bathroom. Some of the furnishings were a bit rundown (broken drawers, missing hardware), and I found the lack of a headboard for the bed(s) a little weird, which is the only thing keeping me from giving this a 5 star review. The staff was warm, friendly, helpful, and the location is amazing. I would definitely recommend the hotel, and I would stay here again.
