Really welcome staff more than happy to help with any questions you have. Not to far from the centre of town and a nice walk into town. Lovely local beers and chilled area to drink in. Breakfast is a nice range of food available and a nice relaxing area to eat.

Me & my husband stayed at this lovely hotel as part of a coach holiday. It's a really nice, clean, friendly family run hotel on the outskirts of Bruges centre. Our room was on the second floor which we requested it was a nice, big room with a huge window protected by mosquito mesh which was great! There was a fridge & a safe in the om which was really handy. The bed was really comfy & bedding spotless. The bathroom was nice & clean with a walk in shower. Breakfast was good, continental with addition of sausage bacon & eggs. All freshly cooked in the morning, nice pastries. The bar area was great they serve beverages as well as alcohol. There is a great seating area outside & the gardens are lovely! The staff were so friendly & helpful, take advantage of the taxi service for 10 euros into town, it's a bit of a long walk into the centre. Around 15 minutes to the T Zand Square & then around 20 minutes to lake of love. It's a flat walk but can get tiring! Would highly recommend this hotel & we are gong back there on another trip n November. There is parking on the nearby street if you bring your car. A huge thank you to the owners & staff who made it a great stay for us.

We arrived around 2:50 PM and according to the website we could check in from 2:30 PM. The rooms were not finished cleaning yet so we had to wait another fifteen minutes, after 20/25 minutes we could go to our room. After taking a nap we wanted to take a shower before going out, the shower water does not rinse away, after reporting it it took more than an hour/an hour and a half before it was decided that it was best to move to a new one room. We could have spent our time in Bruges much better.

Plus points are that the counter staff were very nice and the bicycles for 15 euros per person for the day were very pleasant.

Would I come back here soon? No.

Arrived off the euro tunnel on the 20.45 train and looked for a nice place to stay for the night. Upon finding Hotel Olympia on hotels.com I found that they were accepting bookings for the same night, however this was not the case after I paid £167.14 I then went to my confirmation to realise last check in was at 18.00 which was not stated anywhere whilst booking. Upon realising this I attempted to contact the hotel within 5 minutes of the booking to see if there was a possibility to arrive at the hotel that was booked and paid for the same night with no answer which is fair enough reception was closed. I then contacted hotels.com with them agreeing with myself they then tried on numerous occasions for hotel Olympia to accept that this was out within the time frame and the refund should be granted to which I’ve received and then email stating that hotel Olympia have refused more than twice now to refund a payment which should never have been taken in the first place if they were not even open at the time of booking and had no intention of accepting anyone into their hotel.

This hotel was a long walk from town for older people and extremely difficult to find food in the evening. The hotel ran out of pizzas and needed 2 days to re-order. The Manager/Owner was impolite rude and discourteous as we had a problem with paying 40 euros for a kettle when we took our own tea coffee etc! Definitely our worst experience for a hotel abroad.

We were allocated this hotel on a coach tour, if the tour operators had told us where we would be staying before we booked we wouldn’t have done the trip.
The drivers of our coach advised the hotel two & half hours before we arrived that a lot of the party would like a evening meal The manager of this family run hotel advised that they did not offer a full meal but bar snacks were available, Pizza, lasagna and quiche.
Upon arrival the drivers off loaded the cases which we were told would be brought to the room. After waiting for quite a while I went to find ours. One young girl was doing the cases, reception and bar on her own so I took our back to our room. Once we unpacked we went up to the bar to order food and a drink. Other guests advised that this poor girl was doing reception, bar and cooking the bar snacks, the had run out of everything apart from pizza. I left hubby in the bar and went out to find food. There is 1 very small bar about ten mins away, but I managed to find a Chinese takeout so we took this back to the room.
The following day when we meet up with other guests advised we were told that many of them had waited longer for their food pizza was over cooked and some of the lasagnes were still frozen in the middle. Breakfast was very basic and staff were struggling to keep up a supply of glances, coffee and hot water for tea.
The situation of the hotel is a good thirty minute walk up to the town so not suitable for anyone with walking issues.
Although the coach company is also at fault for the way they allocate their customers to hotel the managers when I spoke to her on our last day thought that the issues faced by her staff member on the first night was ok.
I would not advise anyone looking for a fairly basic but good hotel to use this one.

A clean and functional small hotel in a normal residential area. Around the hotel parking disc required for four hours between 9am and 6pm. The staff is very friendly, and as a greeting Belgian chocolates lay on my pillow, which I thought was really nice.
I also got a city map pressed directly into my hand, without asking. In the room there is a safe, a hairdryer and enough space for two guests and for their belongings.
In the bathroom there is shampoo and shower gel.
I shot five mosquitoes before I had my privacy, so unfortunately there is no fly screen and my room was on the ground floor. So I left the window closed as a precaution, because you can only open it completely or not at all. Tilting position, as we know from some countries, was not possible here. Nevertheless, I had a good night and can recommend this place without restriction. You can walk to the city centre of Bruges for about 15 minutes. The residential area is very quiet.

+ Quiet location, 20 minutes from the center.
Parking next to a nearby school.
- Cleaning: lots of dust on the bed shelf, candy paper on the floor and garbage can in the room containing a plastic bottle...
Excessive breakfast rate

We are just back from a 4 night stay here with Leger holidays. This is a very good hotel in a nice neighbourhood. Spacious rooms, large comfortable bed, good breakfast, pleasant staff. All you could need really. The hotel is a little out of town but it's a pleasant walk and the closest large square with nice restaurants is a 15 minute walk, there's also a couple of nice local bars en route. It's another 10 minutes to the Burg and the centre but not a problem if you're reasonably mobile. Some of our not quite so active party did get taxis into town. I wouldn't hesitate to stay here again.
