I stayed at this hotel for three nights two weeks ago. The elevator wasn't working properly, the rooms were very small. The lighting at night wasn't very good. Overall I wouldn't call this hotel a four star hotel but the front desk people were very friendly and hospitable. My stay here was fine but I would give the hotel three... More

What a beautiful hotel and town! Love, love, love the history, town, sites, restaurants and everyone was very friendly and so nice. Picked up a few items at the antique market. Just a lovely trip, would love to go back and stay for several days.

This hotel is ideally located in the heart of Bruges. It really did not live up to all the advertising though as it's average at best. There is something lacking here in terms of character and the "deluxe" room we had seemed like a room that had been chopped in half. Very good breakfast though breakfast room staff were gruff... We found the Hotel Jan Brito was conveniently located within walking distance of Brugge's main attractions. The room was adequate and quaint, the bathroom newly renovated. Breakfast room was ornate and spacious with a delicious hot buffet breakfast supplied. Staff at the hotel were friendly, helpful and spoke very good English. Would definitely recommend a stay at this hotel.

The hotel is on a quiet street and one can easily walk to all attractions.Had an attractive room that was very comfortable. The bathroom had an unpleasant smell that never went away, and was not on a canal, so that was not the reason. The door between the bedroom and bathroom had to be kept closed at all times to prevent... More

The hotel is currently undergoing some renovation work but in the two nights over the weekend we were not at all touched by it. The room was tucked away on the ground floor at the back of the garden / inner court, accessible through some French doors. It has almost a country estate touch to it. Lovely. Breakfast costs extra... More

Lovely hotel , used to be an old Manor House and you can tell as soon as you step in the door. Tastefully decorated but with all modern amenities We started in room one which was a junior Louise and was huge with a large bathroom , was at the format of the hotel but as on a fairly quiet... More

Unfriendly management, ignored concers. Man at work in the garden (not able to relax). Only 4 couples in the whole hotel. Most of the guests stay only one night. We booked 4 nights in advance. This was a mistake. Not much choice at the breakfast. Hotel saw better times and is much too expensive!

We stayed here for 4 nights in the duplex garden view room. This was comfortable enough. Due to steep narrow stairs we did not attempt to take our luggage upstairs to the bedroom. Our own choice but the small downstairs space with minimal furniture was then used for our luggage storage. The location of the hotel was handy to the... More
