The hotel is located in the center of Bruges in a 16th-century listed building. Much more than the exterior has been preserved. This impressive mansion has been tastefully refurbished, conserving unique decorations from former centuries: marble mantelpieces, paintings, oak staircase, exposed oak beams. Quietly situated in the heart of Bruges : 20 mtrs from the most romantic and picturesque canals, 200 mtrs from the Burg square (City Hall) and Market square (Belfry). 37 Rooms fully en-suite, hairdryer, telephone, television with English language programs, minibar, free coffee and tea making facilities. Breakfast buffet, lift, bar, wifi, lounge, large renaissance garden with 100 year old beech tree. Public underground parking at only 200 meters (please make a reservation). Since October 2016 the hotel also has a fitness, sauna and hammam in the garden pavillion.

I almost changed my hotel after reading some of the reviews posted but glad I didn’t. We were met on reception by lovely staff, whenever we were at the hotel. Though I felt a bit sorry for them manning the bar too. However, they were always pleasant and friendly. Our room was on the top floor which could be reached using the lift or the stairs. The elevator music was a bit dire but hey! I’d booked a budget room and was worried you wouldn’t have room to swing a cat but it was fine. If you were particularly tall you’d probably struggle with the low beam over the bed but luckily for me that wasn’t an issue. The room was well presented and the bathroom had everything we needed. They were cleaned daily while we were out. I initially shared other reviewers concerns about the safe in the room not being secured to anything, but honestly, to walk out with a heavy safe wouldn’t be easy so don’t fret! Other reviewers have commented on leaving your key at reception when leaving the hotel but I found this a good thing as it meant I always knew where it easy. Free Wi-fi was strong and appreciated. Shampoo, conditioner, body lotion in the bathroom unexpected for a value room. Overall, I was very happy and thought the hotel offered great value for money.

This hotel began over 400 years ago, with restorations and new wings added. Reception rooms are in 18th century style, and our room was also, except for the stunning marble bathroom. There is an elaborate breakfast in an elegant dining room, featuring varied Belgian pastries, but you pay 18 euros for it. There is a garden courtyard and elevators to the rooms, and you are steps away from the market square of old Bruges. . We can’t recommend this hotel highly enough. Oh - in September there were 3 star prices for this 4 star property.

Spent 2 nights here for our wedding anniversary. It is an old hotel full of character and original features. Breakfast was plentiful. All staff were pleasant, friendly and helpful. This is not a “luxurious” hotel but it is perfectly comfortable and I would definitely recommend it for a short break. Best of all is the location - just a few minutes walk from all the attractions. No restaurant in the hotel but plenty of places nearby to eat to suit all budgets.

We travelled as a family of 4 for bank holiday weekend! We just want to say much to all the staff at the hotel for such a warm welcome. We arrived and sat in the courtyard with sangria and beer and admired the garden it was beautiful (normally in a city I rush to explore but this place is stunning) We had a great family room with upstairs for the kids and they loved it (kids 3 and 5) Location is fantastic near everything but quiet at night. We did a lovely canal ride and a trip to the chocolate museum for the kids to indulge in chocolate. The square is lovely and bars and restaurants everywhere! Would defiantly return and so glad we booked jan Brito xxxx
