This is a lovely hotel. Very nicely decorated and the female staff on reception/bar were extremely polite, friendly and helpful. The guy on reception on Sunday spent most of the time talking to his friends and yelling at the football so it was difficult to get service so we ended up going to elsewhere. The cleaners burst into your room without knocking which we found absolutely shocking. Apart from those two points, which I’m sure they can fix simply, it’s a really nice hotel.
The staff at this hotel are so friendly and accommodating. So welcoming when we arrived. The rooms were sufficiently equipped & clean. The hotel is a short walk to the town centre which is full of bars, cafe's and beautiful shops. The hotel bar is relaxing and offers a good range of drinks. If you are feeling like a swim then go to the hotels indoor pool. Breakfast is superb. We have been here a few times now and will definitely return.
We were allowed to check in early. The AC was not working and had to get the desk to get it to turn on. Once they did that, it worked. Pleasant stay. Breakfast option is nice too. I needed to refill my water jug and was told I could not do that. It's WATER.
This is a great hotel, the staff are friendly, it is only a short walk to the bars and restaurants and main attractions, the room was clean and spacious and the bed was super comfy, the swimming pool looked amazing, we couldn't have asked for more 😊
Room was stuffy and thermostat would not work regardless of settings or fan speed. Questioned nigh-time front desk and they said they need to turn on system but can’t promise anything. Terrible first night. The next morning the front desk told me it was off. They asked if I want AC or heat. When I questioned them on it, they informed me they can only give me AC or heat but not both. If too cold I need to walk down to front desk, because no phones in room, and ask to change to heat. The next morning it was hot. I asked why… was informed that someone on the floor asked for heat so they changed from AC to heat. They further explained that multiple rooms share the same system and have to change it if a room requests something differently. For the 3 nights, I had to ask the front desk multiple times to either turn on or change from heat to AC. I wish I hadn’t paid for an upgraded room and wish I knew this before booking the nonrefundable room.…
We were pleasantly surprised by this hotel. It was more than we hoped for the price we paid. It’s 3 stops by bus from the train station and 10 min walking distance to Grote Markt Square so close to the attractions but away from the crowd. The standard room is tastefully decorated, had 2 comfy twin beds, a mini ref, water kettle and nespresso for the complimentary tea and coffee. Bathroom was clean and comfortably sized. The staff were all cheerful and accommodating. This was what struck us the most. It’s like they really like working in this hotel. We definitely recommend this hotel.
I booked two rooms at this hotel having read their website and the reviews online beforehand. Originally booked directly with the hotel but then changed to a booking website as the hotel would not reduce their price by 1 cent. Was only fractionally cheaper than staying Brussels ! The positives: Reasonably close to the city centre, large bedroom, nice decor, pleasant atmosphere. The negatives: Bathroom terrible, no floor drain so the floor gets flooded, shower screen has no rubber seals to prevent water spilling out, faucet configuration restricts movement in the bath/shower, mosquitoes ! Coffee capsules terrible. Corridor decoration and carpets in common areas need attention. Likely would choose somewhere else if we return to Bruges. Gave it a 3* rating, maybe a little harsh but not worth 4* IMO.…
Lovely hotel can’t fault anything would definitely stay here again. Breakfast was great and hotel staff are all very friendly and accommodating Very short walk to shops and bars. After a long day of walking around city use of the pool hotel is great touch 👍🏻
What a surprise this hotel was from the minute we walked in the door! Loved the lobby where we had a nite cap each night; the staff simply could not have been more helpful; the bed in our bright deluxe room was enormous and extremely comfortable and although we only had breakfast once ( on Sunday as few other places open) it was very good with lots of choice. The hotel is within walking distance of everywhere and on the less touristy side of town which we loved. Top top… book a deluxe room. Standard are a little tight albeit very tasteful.
Stayed over bank hol weekend. Pros: nice swimming pool (albeit much smaller than photos), lovely breakfast, rooms v v clean. Good location. Cons: roadworks going on outside currently. Whole pavement was up. Big h&s breach. You have to go to reception to book breakfast and then walk back to be allowed in…strange. Got chased down the hallway by staff for simply taking an apple from breakfast (I only had a coffee, juice and a yoghurt in there & paid full price!) who said I wasn’t allowed but couldn’t explain why. Toiletries arent topped up during changeover cleans. Classes in the room were polished or something - tasted like hairspray couldn’t use them.
