BRYGHIA HOTEL, its building located in part of the original "Domus Osterlingorum", has always been an important part of Bruges' history. During the Middle Ages it was the most important of 4 trading houses of the German Hanseatic League and in the mid 20th century it became a hotel, with only the coat of arms of the Holy Roman Empire hanging above the doorway as a reminder of its rich past. In 2018 the property and the hotel were acquired by the Vanrenterghem family and under their impulse a grand programme of refurbishment has been undertaken to restore the hotel to its former glory. As a family owned hotel we believe that our staff make BRYGHIA HOTEL a truly special place to stay at, with unrivalled hospitality services and impeccable standards of care and excellence. Every member of our team has been selected because they aspire to uphold those values and strive to offer our guests a warm and intimate atmosphere with highly personalised service.

Such a lovely family run hotel. Gave us great recommendations and a map on arrival and very happy to book things for us. No trouble to purchase gluten free breakfast things. Just need to let them know in advance. Felt like we were guests in their home than a hotel.

A traditional small family run hotel perfectly placed for the city centre where you receive a warm welcome and hospitality. Hotel situated in a quiet area yet only a few hundred yards from the city centre, great local knowledge and recommendations if you want to go off the main tourist hot spots.

This hotel was the perfect experience. A short walk from the main square, while still being on a quiet street made its location excellent. The rooms were spotless, and housekeeping was amazing. The owners were so warm and friendly. They gave us all the information that we needed for the trip, and recommended some nice places to visit as well. Definitely would stay there again!

I stayed here for the second time and the experience was as good as the first one. The room was spotless clean, spacious and the bathroom was quite big. As always, the service was perfect. Friendly, polite and helpful staff. Also, the locations is great! Recommend staying here!

On arrival we received such a warm welcome. We were very impressed as the hotel owner was happy to share lots of interesting information to help us plan our stay in Bruges. Nothing was too much trouble and all our questions were answered. It was our first time in the city so lots of advice on what to do really helped us make the most of our trip. Also given a money saving voucher to use! The hotel was located in a quiet area of Bruges, but still just a five minute walk from the beautiful main town square. The canal walks right outside the hotel front doors were stunning. We loved how you get the best of the busy town centre but also quiet romantic walks if you wish. The entire hotel is Spotlessly clean and we had a very comfortable tidy room. The bed was very comfy, slept very well. I recommend paying a little bit extra for canal view room, the view was beautiful. Breakfast was lovely with lots of choice. Relaxing atmosphere. We had a wonderful time exploring Bruges and had a fantastic hotel to relax in. Would definitely recommend and would definitely stay again.

My daughter and I visited in July and were very pleased with this small , clean , well situated hotel. The owners were very COVID aware and had organised the hotel to minimise any chance of infection - really put my mind at ease. The hotel is in a quiet area with easy access to the centre and the owner gave us a map and an idea of the city layout and main attractions. We had a lovely break despite the pandemic - so good to get away at last and to a hotel which had put in place all the necessary precautions.

Stayed here for a few nights. Delightful hotel, cozy and beautifully clean rooms. Bed was very comfortable and nice to have tea and coffee in the rooms after a long walk. Breakfast was lovely each morning with plenty of choice. The owner was extremely knowledgable and, quite rightly so, about the building and the city itself. Perfect before leaving each day to explore. Would absolutely stay here again.

Tucked away in a quiet historical part of the city right next to one of the canals but just a 5 minutes walk from Market Square. The owners ,Johann and his son Stephen, welcome you like one of the family and go out of their way to ensure that your stay meets your expectations. They also have a great knowledge of Brugge which is very helpful. They have lovingly refurbished the hotel with modern facilities and decor. Our bed was the most comfortable one we have experienced at any hotel .A simple but adequate buffet continental breakfast is offered in the cosy dining room. Offsite secure garage parking is available at a charge but needs to be booked well in advance as spaces are limited. Plenty of small local good restaurants are situated nearby at reasonable cost avoiding the need to go to those larger more expensive businesses on the main market square.Having visited Brugge many times and stayed at several other hotels ,this is by far THE BEST ,we will definitely be returning.
