Old school Dutch/Belgian fantasyland with a lovely, attentive staff. Probably the best location in Bruges, since it's a relatively easy walk from the train station (though it will take at least 15 minutes) and central to all the hits of Bruges while being in a quiet little nook of a main drag,
Bruges is the most classy charming little city ever, and this is the most classy charming little hotel ever. The hotel is situated at the most special spot in Bruges, and the rooms and atmosphere are... sublime. The marble in the bathrooms alone is worth a soliloquy. The charming glamor of the rooms and stunning location and great staff make for a wonderful stay. And the breakfast is stellar. High-quality food in an elegant and gorgeous canal-side room. There is also art. And it's all original. No signed prints, only works directly from the hands of these masters: Botero, Appel, Klimt, Matisse, Chagall, more. A magical hotel in a magical town. Let me put it this way: I bought a magnet of Bruges for my refrigerator and the hotel is on the magnet!
My husband and I stayed here for a magical weekend in Bruges. This is a beautiful hotel with excellent service and delicious breakfasts and it is packed with old world charm. It is centrally located and part of the most photographed spot in Bruges (for a reason!). Enjoy this incredible historic hotel, which will only enhance your experience of historic Bruges. All the staff was friendly and beyond attentive, and we especially appreciated Jiles’s warm welcome and assistance during our stay. Would consider returning to Bruges just for the chance to stay here again.
If you care about location, service, facilities, charm, cleanliness, furnishings, comfort and quality, IE everything that a tip top hotel should offer, then this is the place for you. It may not have 5 stars, but don’t be fooled into thinking that this hotel isn’t everything you would want in a hotel. The lack of 5 star must be a technicality, because in everything this hotel does, it does it to a 5 star standard. Breakfast is classy and beautifully prepared. They offer complimentary tea (either inside the hotel or outside on what I can only describe as a ‘film set’ terrace) at any time and with a glorious friendly service. The bedroom overlooking the canal (with obligatory swans, of course) was a tight squeeze (hey, you’re in Bruges, not Texas) but beautifully comfortable and the bathroom smart and opulent. My only criticism is that they don’t give out free Belgian chocolate. Hang on, yes they do, so therefore, a faultless stay. Thank you x…
Loved every minute of our stay! Our room was spotless, the bed was comfortable, the bathroom was large, and it was so quiet. It is in the perfect location to explore the city. The staff are very helpful. The breakfast was probably our favorite part, buffet style with options for custom eggs and Belgium waffles. Delicious!!! Plus they held our luggage after checkout before our train and offered us coffee and water when we returned for the bags. Super customer service! Thank you!
We loved Relais Bourgondisch Cruyce so much on a previous visit that we arranged to visit Bruges again to stay there. Everything about it makes us happy. The hotel is small but the room was lovely with a nice bathroom. The public areas have fresh flowers that fill the rooms with a delightful aroma. The breakfast is outstanding, with plenty of offerings available for you to select and they will also cook to order. The Belgian Waffles are delicious, as one would expect. Everyone was so nice, but I particularly remembered Febrina from our first visit and she was her same wonderful self. Wonder when I'll be able to return!
This is a lovely hotel and the service is incredible. Our family stayed here for three nights and loved every minute. DEFINITELY stay here! Ask for a canal view room. The view is beautiful . You will not be disappointed!
The best boutique hotel in Bruges in an unrivalled setting on the canal, peaceful yet totally central and with arguably the finest view in the city. Mae at reception embodies the very best old school customer service with great positivity and a lovely smile, and is a huge credit to this architectural jewel. Anyone seeking a romantic location to stay in Bruges should look no further.
This hotel and staff made our visit to gorgeous Bruges even more memorable! Fabrina was SO helpful and always had a contageous smile on her face :) The room had the most amazing view of a canal (you'll see many tourists walking down the alley to see and photograph the same view) and the room itself was cozy but elegant. Breakfast each morning was superb and the dining room was again elegant. So glad we stayed there!
This is the Jewel in the crown of Boutique hotels in Bruges it is quiet and the the staff are a cut above the others we have stayed before and the standards just never drop a four star hotel which deserves a fifth star
