Had a one night stay to enjoy the Christmas market. We treated ourselves to a suite but we were initially put in a twin room at the back of the building. I went to reception to be told it was a suite but he would move us to a different one -the suite was double the size with a view... More

I've stayed in better hotels BUT for different occasions or reasons. My review is based on value for money and what I needed for this trip. I haven't read other guests reviews but this is what I thought. Room was clean and tidy and not a bad size. I liked the location of the hotel as it was walking distance... More

The hotel location is brilliant, which is why we chose to stay here. The breakfast was very good, a wide selection of pastries, juices, fruit, yoghurt, meat and cheeses. The room was spacious and the bed very comfortable. There was no noise at all, and we slept very well at the hotel. However, the standard of cleanliness of the bathroom... More

We called the reception as we approached Bruges (just on outskirts) to ask for directions as there was construction occurring that prevented our travelling via the GPS directions. The person we spoke to was very hard to understand to the point of being no help at all. In the end, we just kept asking people around the town about how... More

I should have read previous reviews about the Lace Hotel which would have prevented me from wasting my money. It is very sub-standard with sub-standard and small overpriced rooms. You also get all the noise from the rowdy bars outside. I wrote to the three 'executives' who own/run this hotel and expressed my concerns but received absolutely no reply from... More

The hotel is perfectly located just a short walk from the main square and the various things to see. The exterior and the room itself were perfectly nice and the moulded ceiling was beautiful. The shower was good, too. Take caution though, that it is very loud and we were awoken numerous times by people outside the hotel at the... More

This hotel was really good value for money. We had a large suite which was located on the road to the side of the hotel. The room was great, bed was really comfortable as was pillows, and the breakfast was lovely. One word of caution though, in that the rooms facing the main Square or road are subject to noise... we stayed in the Lace hotel for 2 nights with the whole family, we had 6 rooms in total but we all had a horible stay. We had basic rooms, but they were really small. The bathroom was also realy small (remided me of a bathroom on a boat and couldn't stand with 2 persons in there at the same... More

We would not recommend this hotel to anyone. A noisy bar outside played loud music until 6am and the room reeked of smoke. The tiny fibreglass bathroom had cracks in the fibreglass that were very unpleasant and a shower curtain that clung to you when you were trying to dry yourself. The hotel is difficult to drive to especially with... More
