Travelers' Choice
Hotel de Orangerie is located right on the most picturesque canal of medieval Bruges in the very heart of the city centre. This small XV century monastery of the Sisters Karthuizerinnen has been converted into a wonderful "boutique hotel", furnished with exclusive fabrics and antiques. All of the 20 graciously bedrooms have been individually decorated with antiques and offer all the modern comfort that the discerning traveller expects. In the elegant Salon along the canal, guests can relax by the open fire, in comfortable sofas while going through the available art books and international magazines, and enjoying a drink which is served round the clock. It is recommended to enjoy the typical English “Afternoon Tea” or an aperitif either on the waterfront terrace or in the cozy and enchanted breakfast room.

This was my second visit to Bruges and the Hotel de Orangerie - what a lovely, wonderful experience! First trip was a father-daughter trip, second was with my wife; both business related. GREAT staff! GREAT hotel! GREAT location! And of course, Bruges is a wonderful city to visit. If you're in the general area, make sure you plan on a visit to Bruges, and definitely stay at the Hotel de Orangerie. Quaint and sophisticated. Perfect in every way.

Stayed three nights mid-December for our fourth visit to Brugge. A delightful time at this beautiful hotel, which was decorated for Christmas. Very attentive staff, comfortable room and a spectacular spread of breakfast goodies. Make sure you take this option as it is worth every cent. If needed public parking is nearby and is secure and very reasonably priced. I thought the Christmas market had become a bit too commercial, the craft stalls had decreased in number while the number of eateries had significantly increased. We were there mid-week and left on Friday, the increase in the numbers on Friday was very noticeable. Overall, a thorough 5/5 for the hotel and I would recommend it to anyone.

What an exceptional hotel in the centre of a beautiful city, sparking during Christmas. We stayed for two nights. The hotel is moderate size, so personal, and incredibly beautiful, with comfy bar featuring an open fire and stunning breakfast room. The breakfast was unrushed and perfect. Our room was large, comfortable with a modern spacious bathroom. The staff couldn’t do enough for us. Morgane, the manager l, needs a particular mention. She was a delight. Top restaurants are all so close and Morgane ensured we dined where the locals would go. She knows her food! I can’t fault this place. Thanks for looking after us beautifully.
