Travelers' Choice
Hotel de Orangerie is located right on the most picturesque canal of medieval Bruges in the very heart of the city centre. This small XV century monastery of the Sisters Karthuizerinnen has been converted into a wonderful "boutique hotel", furnished with exclusive fabrics and antiques. All of the 20 graciously bedrooms have been individually decorated with antiques and offer all the modern comfort that the discerning traveller expects. In the elegant Salon along the canal, guests can relax by the open fire, in comfortable sofas while going through the available art books and international magazines, and enjoying a drink which is served round the clock. It is recommended to enjoy the typical English “Afternoon Tea” or an aperitif either on the waterfront terrace or in the cozy and enchanted breakfast room.

very nice hotel,it has a very cosy atmosphere and is at a 2 minute walk from the market, in the middle of the city center. Our room was spacious with a beautiful bathroom. The team is very welcoming and helpful where they can. We did the afternoon tea in the sitting area, which was very nice on a rainy afternoon. I would recommend this hotel to everybody

Charming Hotel, close to everything. Staff were all welcoming and the food was delcious. The room was well appointed and the bed was very comfortable. The location was tucked away and very quiet, without being far away from all the everything.

Thoroughly enjoyed our stay at the hotel. Extremely clean and well maintained. Bedroom was a generous size and bed was extremely comfortable. Staff were lovely and very helpful. Breakfast was very nice and fresh. We bought the breakfast when booking the room, and I had assumed it included everything, however, it only included a continental breakfast, with other items from the menu chargeable. My only disappointment was the bathroom in our room. It was small with no windows and only feeble ventilation. Online I'd seen the pictures of a large bathroom with large opening windows, but clearly this was not for our room. It was very hot when we arrived (30 degrees) and the a/c struggled to deal with it. Luckily we'd brought a fan with us which made it more comfortable. Overall nice stay and would stay again, but I'd be more particular about the bathroom next time 👍
