Hotel de Orangerie is located right on the most picturesque canal of medieval Bruges in the very heart of the city centre. This small XV century monastery of the Sisters Karthuizerinnen has been converted into a wonderful "boutique hotel", furnished with exclusive fabrics and antiques. All of the 20 graciously bedrooms have been individually decorated with antiques and offer all the modern comfort that the discerning traveller expects. In the elegant Salon along the canal, guests can relax by the open fire, in comfortable sofas while going through the available art books and international magazines, and enjoying a drink which is served round the clock. It is recommended to enjoy the typical English “Afternoon Tea” or an aperitif either on the waterfront terrace or in the cozy and enchanted breakfast room.

A superb hotel of discreet, relaxed quality and with the very best staff. The interior of the hotel is so stylish and at the time of our stay, so Christmassy. We had a canal-view room and the bed was super comfy. We loved the shower too. The buffet breakfast was superb and kept us going for most of the day !! Most of all though, the staff were so cheery and helpful. Hotel de Orangerie is also perfectly placed to explore beautiful Bruges on foot and being able to pop back in during the day for add or drop off clothes or use the loo was great.

We had a lovely stay here in Nov. The staff were really friendly and welcoming. We were given complimentary champagne on arrival with some nibbles. The breakfast was delicious - definitely recommend, the selection of food was incredible. The hotel itself is in a great location, right in the heart of all the action. When we left we were gifted apples and water for our journey home.

We spent three nights at this wonderful hotel, which is both modern and old fashioned. Our room was large yet cozy, prettily decorated like we were in a private home. The shower made use of push-button controls, a first for us, but the heat was individually controlled by valves on the radiators, and the door had to be locked using a key. The staff was great, the location unbeatable. When we come back to Bruges, we will be back to spend more nights here.

Great stay. Breakfast was delicious. Rooms were nice and cozy. Loves the decoration. Shower easy to use (pull knob up!). Bed was super plush and it felt like sleeping in a cloud (thought my back might not like that but woke up each morning pain free.) parking needs to be reserved beforehand but is free and easy to get to after you check in, and easy to leave the center. Staff was very pleasant.

Exceptional comfort and service. Most friendly workers ever. Breakfast was outstanding and well worth the value. Eggs, meats, variety of yogurt cups, fruit, pastries and that list does not do the buffet justice. Champagne! No reason to eat anywhere else in the morning. Rooms were well appointed and open. I would stay here again in a heartbeat.

This hotel is amazing. All women staff that rock it. Great service. On the actual canal. Shops close. I'm a tough critic. They get 12 out of 10. Great city. Romantic, beautiful and friendly people...Food great. It's worth the extra money for the suites that are upstairs and face the canal...

+1
I stayed for two nights and had an excellent experience. The hotel is beautiful with attractive decor and is both centrally located and in a scenic area along the canal. The hotel itself is similar to a manor house; the property is clearly old, but well maintained. Our room had a large, comfortable bed, with modern efficiencies in the bathroom, all tiled and with good hot water and water pressure. The breakfast room and tea room are beautiful and really make you feel relaxed with a great view out onto the canal. The breakfast is not included in the nightly rate and although a bit pricey, the quality is excellent with many options. The staff is very attentive, friendly and helpful. I highly recommend this hotel and would absolutely stay here again.
