Great location in the middle of old Bruge. Clean and comfort room at the new building. Great breakfast. We did not use the spa. We parked at Hotel parking and paid 30 euro per day. It's a bit expensive....staff are polite with service attitude

My husband and I stayed three nights at this marvelous hotel and loved everything about it. The first night we got a room that was too small for my taste but when I went to the front desk and explained, Morgan immediately offered to give us a new room. While we toured the city housekeeping moved our bags and by early afternoon the new room was ready. We got a major upgrade to a huge , luxurious room and Morgan even left us a box of chocolate and a very nice note. Everyone we encountered, from reception to bartenders were friendly and welcoming. The hotel is drop dead gorgeous, the breakfast is amazing and you could not find a better location just steps away from the main square. If i come back to Bruges I will definitely be back here.

The hotel is beautiful, centrally located in Old Town Bruges. There are many restaurants and attractions nearby. The rooms are big and comfortable. The hotel gives you a sensation of old and new which is what we were looking for. The breakfast was really good and with plenty of options to choose from.

The Grand Hotel Casselbergh, Bruges is a tranquil oasis in the heart of bustling Bruges. The position of the hotel could not be better, just off the Burg. Elegant...charming and spotless. It is run by very pleasant and efficient staff. Our room was beautiful with a large en-suite which contained not only a shower cubical but also a separate bath. It was in the annex which is connected to the main part of the hotel by a very modern and attractive walk way ( please do not be put off) Breakfast was amazing with plenty of choice-hot and cold. You certainly would not go hungry! So enjoyed our week with you and when we next return will definitely use this splendid hotel again. Thank you SO much for a fabulous time.

The hotel is very well situated for central Brugge. The welcome was warm and our room in the newer part of the hotel was very clean. The bed was large and very comfortable. Breakfast included fresh fruit and a large selection of both cold and cooked items. Everything you could ask for and highly recommended

Lovely hotel, large beautiful bar area, (multiple rooms w/assorted seating options), convenient location. But, the front desk staff was hit & miss...some were friendly, others were not. It is a non-smoking hotel, upon check-in you sign a form stating you understand this and if you smoke in the room there will be a hefty fine. The hotel has an open area with two sofas in a courtyard before the sliding glass entrance to the hotel. It was a hang-out for smokers. The reception desk is up a few stairs in a corner, so the staff can't see this area. It was annoying having to walk past the smokers as we entered/exited the hotel. (To be honest, not sure it they were hotel guests or random people who saw a comfy area to sit & smoke). The cleaning staff often didn't get to our room until late-late afternoon, and one day not at all. (We had to track someone down for toliet paper & towels!). Finally, you need to scan your room key in the elevator to get to your floor. We had issues everyday with our keys and had to stand in line at reception to get them rekeyed. Since this happend at the end of the day, there was always a line of folks checking-in. It was an inconvenience and we received no explanation why our keys kept failing. All in all, would not return as this is not a 4+ star hotel as far as service.

Response from Els Van Overloop, Verkoop at Grand Hotel Casselbergh Bruges
Responded 5 days ago
Dear AB2014, Thank you for taking the time to share your opinion following your stay at the Grand Hotel Casselbergh. We are delighted to read that you enjoyed the location of our establishment. Indeed, in the heart of the center of Bruges, our hotel offers an ideal location close to the various points of interest of the city, while enjoying the calm. Also very pleased to read that you did appreciate our large beautiful bar areas but of course concerned to read your feedback on the front desk staff and our cleaning staff. We certainly can't tolerate unfriendliness and a lack of service. Rest assured we will follow this up with the relevant managers immediately. Also, we note with great interest your remark concerning smoking in the entrance and the problems with the keycards and will not fail to give it our full attention. We do indeed had some technical problems with our key card system, but that is certainly no excuse for the inconvenience experienced. Your feedback is essential to the constant improvement of our services and please accept our sincerest apologies. Best regards, Els, Sales Manager

Fantastic, Hotel, close to everything, very friendly staff and super efficient. Lovely, sauna and very clean , would definitely stay here again, we did opt for the breakfast, which again was faultless. I really can’t see anything wrong with this hotel, but that’s just my opinion.

The hotel is wonderful. The staff were very helpful. The location is excellent for exploring Amsterdam. The room was clean and comfortable. The buffet breakfast was very good. It was great to have such a lovely room to return to after a day of sightseeing. The proximity to the trains and trams made exploring easy. I recommend it highly.
