Bruges or Brugge is one of the most marvellous places I have been. We opted for a B&B on this trip and stayed at Huis 't Schaep. It was truly brilliant and occupies a traditional three storey house with steep stairs to the upper floors. Don't be put off - within a day you get used to the climb. We...

A beautiful, historic guesthouse, filled with art and antiques. Luxurious, comfortable room and bathroom, with deliciously fresh continental breakfast daily. Perfectly positioned a short walk from the train station and the main squares. Michael is a charming host and he and his family could not have been more helpful and hospitable, responding to our needs before we were even aware...

Our second visit in five months and took different friends this time. They now know why I insisted on staying at Huis 't Schaep. Truely a five star Guesthouse - too good to be called a B & B! It feels like home from home only better. Easy to find from station and very close to Bruges centre and tourist...

Very quiet yet central location, and only a 5 minute or so walk from the station. Very helpful and friendly owners/staff. Their restaurant recommendations were perfect. As it wasn't full we were given a room upgrade which was lovely, giving us a separate.lounge next to the bedroom. Fantastic shower! We stayed in winter but there's a little outside roof patio...

I'm not a regular reviewer but sometimes an experience is so good you feel compelled to give back. Michael and his family are perfect hosts. Gentle, welcoming, really helpful, lovely to chat to..I could go on! The building is stunning, like an art gallery. The room was clean, huge, grand, 4 poster bed, best of all had a beautiful stain...

't Schaep is centrally located in a quiet street minutes away from the center of Bruges with its many shops, bars and restaurants. This traditional house is beautifully appointed, preserved like a time-capsule in neo-gothic style, only with all the modern conveniences. Rooms are large. Our room, the Renoir suite, had comfortable beds and a nice bathroom. The whole house...

Booked last minute, warm greeting and took time to show us what to visit, where to eat. The rooms were fantastic and we loved the roof terrace and drinks room which led onto the terrace. The position was great, close into the centre in a historic building but in a quiet residential street. Lovely breakfast.

I have never stayed in another hotel in Bruges but I would not want to. This hotel is an amazing experience and I adore it. Looking forward to going back and I highly recommend it. The city tour with the guide is also worth it.
