This is one of the best guest houses we’ve stayed in. If I could give it 11/10 I would. From the moment we booked the room Michael was in constant communication with us, advising on parking and places to eat. Excellent advice given about where to go in Bruges and nothing was too much trouble. Our room was upgraded on check in to a suite which was simply stunning. Entry to your room and the main entrance was by way of digits from your mobile number into a keypad which was very innovative, no key to worry about. The breakfast was exceptional, all freshly prepared and plenty of it. We were made to feel very welcome and nothing was too much trouble. The property is very central and only a few minutes walk to all the main points of interest. Staying at Huis t’ Schaep has made our trip to Bruges even more special. We will definitely return.…
Very good accommodation in the heart of Bruges. The host Michael was very attentive and helped with a number of aspects of our stay, the room was large and well furnished and the building very interesting architecturally. Breakfast was plentiful and of good quality. Easy to recommend.
Perfect location near the cathedral. The room (Rubens suite) was absolutely magnificent (bathroom included) and perfectly clean. We had been upgraded (nice gesture). Breakfast is worth a wake-up : bread, croissant, jam, yaourt and orange juice are international class. Hosts (Michael) and his family are very nice and helpful. Dinner was good and quite charming in that lovely room just for us two. To cut a long story short : highly recommanded ! PS : only (little) reproaches about the quality of the tea that is available in the room and maybe the fact that the bed is composed of 2 single mattresses and not a single one).
I stayed 4 nights here and I was so happy with my choice. The position is so central it never took more than 10 minutes to reach all the main places to.visit. The place is quaint but also with modern facilities like a lovely bathroom, Michael is incredibly helpful, kind and caring. He had so many suggestions of places to visit, always offering help and advices. I cannot recommend this place enough. Also Belgium is implementing great security measures to avoid the spread of coronavirus, the compliance is excellent with all the public and staff in stores and restaurant. I have felt so safe.
Very large, comfortable room. Excellent location. Fabulous breakfast. And - as many others have said - the incredible Michael to organise everything, help with anything and provide the most astonishing number of fantastic local recommendations.
Everything was really fine: The beautiful building, the comfortable room, bed, bathroom, the good breakfast with perfect coffee and the very friendly owner, who gave us a lot of interesting and helpful informations. The B&B is situated directly in the towncenter and near the underground car park (which is comfortable but more expensive than told on the website).
Great stay in Bruges We had a wonderful time thanks to the excellent service and personalised attention of Michael and his family, the hosts. He is a repository of knowledge about things to do and took pains to guide us and help us make the best of the 2 days we had. The breakfast is awesome and was customised to our requirements ( vegetarian). The location is perfect and the heritage building has plenty to offer to explore.
Huis 't Schaep is a lovely atmospheric guesthouse in the historic centre of Bruges. Our room was spacious and filled with antiques, curios and tasteful reproduction furniture. The two houses which comprise Huis were owned by an artist and every room has interesting friezes, painted ceramic features or stained glass. The manager, Michael, could not have been more hospitable or welcoming. We enjoyed chatting about Bruges' history over our mega breakfasts each day. Huis is very comfortable, atmospheric and conveniently located for exploring the medieval part of this beautiful city.
Our stay was made special by the personalised attention and care shown by Michael and family, the hosts. He took care of all our needs and went out of his way to help plan the tours, eating places and shared valuable insights and nuggets of history. Awesome breakfast, home cooked accommodating our dietary needs made it a great stay.
I believe this is one of the best places I ever stayed in. Fantastic room and extremly frienly host guiding us to restaurants and anything you ask for. The breakfast was very good, served in a small beautiful dining hall with great service from host. Hightly recommended.
