Lovely place ! I stayed in the Suite Belle époque and loved it : it's spacious, there is a large comfortable bed, the bathroom is great and the breakfast very nice ! Very well located in a quiet street, just a few minutes walk from the main square.

B&B in Bruges, Riddersstraat 22, Bruges. Sheets had Not been changed, FILTHY! The owner Alexander tried to bribe me by offering me a bottle of champagne to keep quite and not share to social media also stating that he was a local politician! What a joke! His wife Varvara was rude and unprofessional stating “no one else complains about our sheets” I don’t have time to change them I have to collect my child from school! The owners do not live onsite and if there is an issue there is no one available to help. The room was unsafe, I was locked in my room unable to get out the following morning as the key did not unlock the door. I was eventually let out by cleaning staff, after waiting many hours, who stated the owners were aware of the issue with the lock but didn’t care! Cleaning staff said it was an ongoing issue. The room had not been vacuumed, under the bed was particularly filthy. Mould in the shower. Toilet and basin not cleaned in a very long time. Whilst others may be happy this was NOT my experience and I would NOT recommend to anyone. AVOID!!!

We booked the suite via booking.com for two night and had a very lovely stay. The room is on the first floor and at first I got concerned that it could be noisy as the bedroom is right on the staircase but it was not an issue at all. Check-in was easy, we were sent an email with codes as well as a text message. We never met the owner but the staff present at breakfast was really lovely and helpful. I had sent an email when we booked to tell them about food allergies, I didn't get a reply and on the first day there's wasn't any gluten free options. But from the next day there was. The bathtub is lovely but if you prefer showers you won't find it particularly easy to use. Lovely baths though 😀

Booked this hotel as it was a very reasonable price for the centre of Bruges on a Friday. We were arriving on bicycles and I emailed several days in advance to ask about where we can store our bikes during our stay. Additionally, we were two friends staying and I emailed to request a room with double beds. Unfortunately I did not get a reply but did receive a message from the hotel through Agoda where I booked with information about how to get in to the hotel (however this message was not a response to my email). The message finished mid sentence and did not send all the information about how to find the hotel etc. I also replied to this email with my first email copy and pasted but did not receive a response. Therefore we had to leave our bikes on the street and did not get twin beds as requested. ‘Check in’ consists of entering the door code from the email and finding your room which has the keys in the door. We did not see any hotel staff all afternoon or evening. The room was very well decorated and fitted out, we were surprised that we had a living room which we did not expect. Unfortunately, there were a couple of ‘bodge jobs’ like the bathroom door not fitting in the door frame. At 10:20 whilst getting ready to check out our door was knocked on and we were asked to come and pay for the room in the next 10 minutes as she had to leave (no earlier notice was given). The lady only spoke Portuguese and we had to communicate by google translate which made things run a bit slower when we were already being rushed to check out early. Overall it was very good value but don’t expect anything from the hotel owners as you may even question if they exist!

Sheets had not been changed FILTHY! Room not vacuumed. Under bed 🤮 Confirmed by staff member who promised to pass on to owners. I also reported this to owners. Owner Varvara did not give a dam, stating “I have to pick up my child from school”! Rude and arrogant. Safety issue with keys, I was locked in bedroom unable to get out for 3 hours until cleaning staff arrived. Staff member was also unable to use key to unlock door from inside. Staff member confirmed the issue was ongoing. Owners are aware of safety issue with key, don’t care! Disgusting, Unprofessional and Uncaring owners, Varvara and Alexander very disappointed! DO NOT STAY HERE!!!!!

My husband and I visited Brugge and stayed for 3 nights at Chez Paul’s B&B. The location was very convenient and Paul was a super host!! We really enjoyed the city with its cobbled streets and medieval buildings. The canal tour and bus tour was informative and provided an overview of the city. The area of the Burg and Market Square with the Belfry were buzzing with great atmosphere. Definitely recommend a visit!!

Very good location in the city center. It is a picturesque old house in which each floor has its room. We stayed in the attic, in the room with a view. Attention! If you are annoyed with morning light take a sleeping mask or do not choose the attic. Negatives: We stayed for one night with check-in at 15:00 and check out at 11:00 next day. We do not agree with that. The check-in should be earlier. However we could leave our stuff in the living room all day long. We received all information of how to enter the house and be settled by email and phone and were not welcomed. Furthermore, all the touristic info was print in an envelope inside our room. We would like to see the owners on arrival and ask them for touristic info. The wooden floor in the attic is in very bad condition. It has hillocks, huge gaps, sinks in many places when you walk on it and makes a lot of noise. Generaly we had a good stay, we liked that we stayed in a traditional house, the owner was very polite when we saw him in the morning the day of the check-out and he served us breakfast which was very decent.

My daughter and I stayed here when we recently visited Bruges. We parked a short 6 minute walk away, in the recommended underground carpark, €8.60 per day. Good value for inner city parking anywhere. Alexander & Varvara had sent us instructions on how to find the B &B, and how to enter. The room was large airy and quaint, very well equipped with fridge, coffee and tea. The 'Room with a View' was located on the third floor, it is a climb if you have walking difficulties but we thoroughly enjoyed the space and found the room comfortable. Alexander cooked for us each morning, lovely eggs - try the scrambled with cheese. We choose to share breakfast with another, delightful, couple both mornings, although there were enough tables to eat privately if you chose. The buffet offered cold meats, mozzarella cheese with beef tomatoes, juices, pastry, breads and pancakes completed with a touch chocolate for any chocholics! The location is situated a short 5 min walk to many different restaurants options, easy 6 mins to the Markt Square. An easy recommendation and great value for money, remembering this is a B & B and not a hotel!
