A great hotel 10 minutes walk from train/Bus station , a few minutes walk from central Bruges and next to the new concert hall . Staff friendly, my room was perfect as my pictures will show and my view looked down a canal . There are many restaurants nearby . They will give you free maps of Bruges and they have a desk with leaflets of what you can see and do .
Cute little hotel very close to both the train station and the city centre. The room I had was small, but well laid out. Cleanliness could definitely be improved, there was a layer of dust on everything and the carpeting had very obvious stains. There's also this odd smell throughout the hotel, a bit like stale cabbage soup? Hard to describe, but it permeated the place, especially if you closed the windows. Which you have to if you want some quiet, as it's near a very busy square. Sound isolation is also not great, I could hear people outside, as well as in neighbouring rooms, and the flooring creaks loudly when people walk down the hallways. I'm glad I stayed during a less busy time, so noise wasn't too bad, but I imagine during busy tourist times, it can be a bit of a nuisance. Apart from that, it's a good place to stay. Staff are super friendly and help out very quickly if you need anything. And the location is absolutely brilliant for the price, especially if you find the shortcuts that get you to the Belfry within a 3 minute walk. So if location and good service are your top priority, it's a good place to stay! …
I would say this is a ‘good’ place to stay at in Bruges on a budget. You get what you pay for in my opinion so don’t expect amazing but it is sufficient enough for sure. Weird smell in the lift and corridors. Wifi was pretty poor and needed switching on/off a fair few times. Very comfy bed and good nights sleep and good location. Definitely consider if you’re wanting to stay in Bruges for a fair price!
Clean and modern room / with good shower , comfortable bedding. Friendly staff . We have not tested the breakfast due to corona . Quiet , altough in heat of the summer could be close to ventilation machines. Drawing room terrace
This hotel takes homeless people who sleep next to you. Don‘t go there. You‘ll get fleas and other deseases. Imagine you‘d put your head on such a pillow. :-( Choose another decent hotel. Let this hotel remain a public homeless place.
Personally, I found that this hotel was exactly what I needed on my solo trip. The staff were brilliant throughout my stay, and even smashed the lock off my backpack when I arrived as I had cleverly managed to lock myself out of it! I stayed in room 403, which if you’re scared of heights and are over 6ft, I wouldn’t recommend as there is a narrow/steep staircase to get to the 4th floor (the lift doesn’t do this high) and there is a sloping ceiling in the bedroom/bathroom. 2 things that didn’t bother me, so i was happy. The wifi was strong to say I was at the top of the building, the TV worked and had English channels, the bed was SUPER comfy and the room was very clean! The location was brilliant, within walking distance from everything, and you can see and hear the bells of the cathedral in the morning. The view from the skylight in the morning is incredible. If you’re not a fussy person and just want hot water and a place to rest your head, then i would definitely recommend staying here. …
Visited Bruges for Valentines but was very disappointed with the room 101 superior , First there’s a steep slope to get to room which in my opinion is to steep for a wheel chair , I found it hard getting up and down it . No shower screen or curtain over bath , floor badly scratched, we were moved next day to room 208 which is meant to be a Deluxe, sorry to say this room was far from deluxe , Carpets full of stains not comfortable walking on it, window frames and curtains dirty , it’s a 3 star hotel but even so I expect clean .. I felt I couldn’t complain again as I’m sure they didn’t have anything better to offer .. Reception and dining area are nice , breakfast was nice but i wouldn’t stay here again .. But Bruges itself it’s a fabulous city to visit ..
We stayed 2 nights at this hotel. The amenities, staff, and location cannot be beat. We purchased the buffet breakfast both monrings and it was superb. On our nexttrip to Brugges we plan to stay there. It isabout a ten minute (or less) walk to the major attractions and aten minute walk from the train station.
Do not stay here. Rooms are not as advertised. Extremely basic. While the front office manager was nice, his manager is unresponsive and unreasonable. The room they put us in was dirty and someone had been smoking in it. The hotel smells like it has been mopped with a dirty mop like in a bar. As they insisted on up front payment they wouldn’t provide a direct refund when we decid Do not stray here. Rooms are not as advertised. Extremely basic. Before arriving, we tried to swap to a different hotel, having read the reviews. The hotel would not let us cancel the booking (which is quite within their rights). So be careful before you book. If you are driving, there is no easy access to the hotel, so you will have to park up and walk with bags at least 250 metres. The reception is very pleasant and the staff are helpful and friendly. We were in two rooms on the top floor. The lift goes to the third floor, the rest you use stairs. The lift is small and you are greeted with a pungent drain smell. Fortunately this does not continue throughout the hotel. Our rooms were basic. Low beams create an issue, you have to be very careful, and you will still hit your head. The beds were soft with no mattress protectors and ill fitting sheets persistently came off to reveal a dirty mattress. The bathrooms were substandard. Lots of black mould and tiles missing. The shower easily overflowed onto broken cheap laminate flooring. There was a sufficient supply of hot water, just let the shower run for a while and don’t touch the manky shower curtain, which is clearly showing more cultures than a lower fourth biology Petri dish. The towels are clean but a grey white and need replacing. The furniture in the room is cheap, local authority estate standard. There are no tea / coffee making facilities. There was a rear entrance to the hotel which had smashed mirrors inside. It made the place look very run down. The alleyway outside also had broken glass, which detracted from the area’s ambiance. The location is very central, so a good base to go and visit the local sites. Value wise it’s pretty cheap, but as usual you get what you pay for. Would I recommend- no Would I stay again - no…
