In August we spent 6 days in Bruges in the very cozy B&B Bariseele. This was a very good choice as the hotel is situated in a beautiful, quiet area 10 minutes from the market square. Our room was very cozy. We ate delicious breakfasts every day. Fruit, pancakes, scrambled eggs and waffles, all prepared by Benny, the owner of the hotel. The room is equipped with a very comfortable bed. The daily service was exemplary. And finally, praise to Benny for his hospitality, kindness and exceptional commitment. Agnes i Robert
We have stayed at the B & B many times over the years, and it's always a pleasure. Our last stay in July 2020, was after they had installed air conditioning, and it's proper, remote-controlled air conditioning, with a unit on your room's wall, just like you would get in an office. It makes a great difference, in the summer it's not unusual for Bruges to hit the high 20 and low 30 degrees Celsius and our first day on this trip was over 30. Breakfast is left outside your room and they are always good: cereal, coffee in a cafetiere, yogurts, fruit compotes, rolls, bread, slices of cheese and cold meat and often something different like pancakes if you 're staying more than one day. In your room you have a microwave and a kettle (and drinkable water from the tap throughout Bruges), a mini bar, a dining table, TV, sofa, bed, storage for clothes, hairdryer, etc, a bit like a mini apartment which is why we like it, we can just lounge around and take our time in the mornings, unlike at a hotel. With the last trip we have now stayed in all three of the suites, the ground floor is like an apartment with separate lounge and bedroom, the middle floor (balcony suite I think) is like a studio flat with separate bathroom and hallway and the top floor (room with a view) is another studio flat with separate bathroom. On top of all that, you have Benny the owner, who is fantastic: so knowledgeable, so helpful and is always up to date with what's going on in Bruges. Their parking is two minutes walk up the road and gives you secure parking (which can be your own single garage) for a really good rate. The B & B is about 10 minutes walk from the centre but is in a quiet part of Bruges. Close by is Cafe 't Terrasje, the famous Cafe Vlissinghe and 10 minutes walk gets you to the cool Bistro Pro Deo. There's also a mini supermarket less than 5 minutes walk away. And if the B & B is booked up? We can also recommend the Hotel Fevery next door, which we've also stayed at.…
We've stayed in all 3 rooms, all are decorated to a high standard. They all have air con - a must in the summer. Breakfast is brought to your room, at no additional cost - and it's a big breakfast!! The Balcony Suite has a big walk in shower, and this is our favorite room. All rooms have a kettle, microwave & fridge. Benny is an excellent host, and is very knowledgeable about the city and surrounding areas. We wouldn't stay anywhere else when we are in Bruges.
Dear Benny, thank you so much for your great hospitality. We appreciate your excellent service, friendship and honestly throughout our stay at your magnificent B&B Bariseele in wonderful Bruges. The breakfast was superb especially with your company. THANK YOU BENNY. Hope to see you again.
There is everything you could need in the room, great attention to detail, spotlessly clean and incredibly comfortable. Benny generates an atmosphere that creates a home from home experience. He provides an excellent breakfast, and at weekends this is provided in his own dining room with him joining the guests for great food, conversation and countless bits of interesting information about the local area. As always, we thoroughly enjoyed our stay in this very special B&B.
