The Guesthouse Begijinhof was simply amasing. It is in a central and artistic position, just in front of one of the oldest and fascinating part of the city. Michel, the owner, is really super welcoming and careful to the need of the guests. The whole building is very well restored and furnished. The breaksfast is rich of very high quality... More

This is a highly recommended place to stay in Leuven. It might seem a bit pricey, but it is value form money. The room is comfortable, the bathroom very functional with a wonderful shower and the highlight is the breakfast: home made bread, home made jam and eggs from their own chicken, freschly squeezed orange juice, fresh fruits, great cheese... The guesthouse has been renovated to a high standard and is very comfortable. It is just next door to Begijnhof where I was attending a course which also made it very convenient. It is only a 10-15 minute pleasant walk to the town centre and also meant the area is relatively quiet and peaceful. Michel is so very helpful and... More

A very warm welcome can be expected from Michel Vandijck at the Gusethouse Begijnhof. The guest house which dates back to the 17th century has been tastefully refurbished to a very high standard, whilst not losing any of its old world charm. I stayed there in June with a friend during a visit to the Waterloo 200 reenactment and Leuven... More

I stayed at Guesthouse Begijnhof with my sister while spending 3 days in Leuven. We were greeted by Michel, who is the owner, and shown to our room. Michel has renovated this guesthouse from the 1700's, and it is the perfect place to stay. Our room was very nice, with very comfortable bed, beautiful white linens, and a view of... More

This is a wonderful B & B with a most kind and gracious host. The location, across from the Begijnhof is beautiful and quiet. Our room was spotless with a new, modern bathroom, very comfortable beds and top-notch linens. Breakfast is delicious with home made jams, breads and eggs from the chickens in the garden. Michel is such a nice... More

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay in Guesthouse Begijnhof and would not hesitate to recommend it. Beautifully restored house and garden in the historic centre of Leuven; clean, quiet, comfortable with very generous and attentive service from Michel the owner. The antithesis of plastic! Excellent breakfast.

Stayed a couple of nights here in October, visiting our son who lives in Leuven now. We stayed one night in a hotel, because the Begijnhof was busy. We would have been more than happy if we had stayed at the Begijnhof for all of the nights in Leuven. Next time we visit, we know what to do. Michel has... More

We had a very pleasant stay at Guesthouse Begijnhof. The location is truly outstanding: right opposite the Begijnhof, a marvelous historical quarter. The rooms are very quiet and have all necessary comfort. The breakfast is very nice as well, offering a selection of exquisite cheeses (from the best cheese shop in Leuven), delicatessen, home-made jam, honey, yogurt, muesli, etc. The... More

Amazing, amazing, amazing! Michel is a very generous and gracious host who goes the extra mile. He even put a brochure in German in my room for a current museum exhibition! It's the little things like that that count. It seems he has an eye for detail! Breakfast was nice and relaxing, with fresh bread, wonderful cheeses and meats, homemade... More
