From start to finish Jeffrey couldn’t do enough for us. We arrived after midnight, no problem here.... email sent by the hotel saying how to get in and order forms for breakfast left in the counter. The rooms: Absolutely fabulous is how I’d describe them. Hugh bed which was so comfortable. Large well stocked room with plenty of water, drinks, soaps, gels etc.... pillows a plenty. The room was a lovely and well appointed in every respect. The en-suite was lovely, modern, plenty of towels and soaps etc.... clean of course. The Breakfast: Again the breakfast was booked for 7:30 am. Jeffrey delivered it on the dot !!!! Delicious was the only way to describe it, perfectly cooked eggs and bacon, sausage, fresh beads and rolls, fresh orange juice and very good coffee. Checkout: As we were in a hurry we had to leave by 8am, Jeffrey was there ready to do the paperwork and it was done in a minute. A very professionaly run establishment. I’ve stayed in May hotels across the world but this is sitting at the top. It’s the personal touch by the owner Jeffrey that makes it. Well done Jeffrey, keep it going and every success. David Byrne

This was my 2nd stay at the Carlton, and I enjoyed it. The convenience of an early check-in, use of the private car park and a friendly welcome and extra tea and milk for my room. Wifi is super and fast; room was full of light and warm on an otherwise cold winters day. Great small touches for added convenience of the business or tourist visitor. Fridge, free water and even a yoga mat to keep fit! COVID measures in place, so an amazingly diverse breakfast was delivered with speed and accuracy early in the morning - all in all, a super stay and highly recommended. It's very close to the train station and easy for trams... Bed comfy and nice crisp cotton sheets; towels excellent and underfloor heating in bathroom was a luxury.

The Carlton hotel is a very cute hotel located close to the train station and to the Citadelle park. All the employees were extremely friendly and available whenever we had a request. They go above and beyond to make your stay the best they can and you really feel cozy and cared for (almost as if you were staying with family). Breakfast was delicious and with a lot of choices available (both for food and for drinks). The room was very clean and tidy, and the bed comfortable. We adored the big terrace and the claw-foot bathtub of the deluxe room, but what made our stay absolutely amazing, is that dogs are welcome at the hotel (provided they behave of course), and we never felt like our fluff was an inconvenience. @Carlton hotel, thank you for everything. We will send you all our friends visiting Ghent and will gladly come back to stay at your hotel.

Young brothers Jeffrey and Steven are amazing hosts. Their hotel is comfortable and clean, with a good value for money rich breakfast. Jeffrey went out of his way to accommodate us, all with a joke and a warm-hearted smile. Highly recommend, we will definitely return. City-card also recommended.

Stumbled on this hotel purely by chance. I’m somewhat cautious of cheap hotels and don’t like paying over the odds for what is essentially just a room to put my head down. This hotel, while not being the most expensive is certainly value for money. The rooms are first class , spacious and clean. The welcome you receive on entering is warming, and I was told to order as much as we want for breakfast as they don’t want you going hungry through the day. Now how often are you told that by ANY hotel. ? If I’m passing this way again I’ll certainly make a effort to stay here . Travel safe everyone. R.W.H. AWL Packing, Shipping & Storage.
