We had a perfect stay at Hotel Carlton. Staff, room, breakfast, location, wifi, everything was top notch. When we arrived, the gentleman at the front desk could not have been more welcoming or helpful. He sat down with us for a while and recommended attractions and restaurants, and providing detailed instructions how to get around either on foot, or using...

We had a short 2 night stay. From the moment we stepped in the door Jeffrey was helping us. Before we even checked in he sat down and explained how the city worked, the trams and good spots to check out. My wife walked in with a bad cold. Runny eyes, hurt all over and sneezing like crazy. Jeffrey had...

This is a small hotel just 4 or 5 minutes walk from the station and tram stops and about a 30 minute easy walk to the centre of Ghent. All the staff were helpful, friendly and informative. Everywhere was spotlessly clean and the breakfasts were very high quality. The omelettes, pancakes etc cooked by request were amazing. Our room was...

This is a cute little hotel that is very close to the train station in Ghent. Our room, bed, wifi all great. The front desk clerk went way above and beyond in his friendliness and the advice he gave us about seeing the city. He asked what we were interested in, and recommended a few restaurants, and drew out the...

This is a fantastic hotel, Large rooms very comfortable beds, and an absolutely brilliant breakfast, but the owners/managers are the icing on the cake, very friendly and informative and nothing appears to be a problem for them. In short a great value hotel if I could give it 6 stars I would.

Walking distance from train station. Wonderfully friendly reception. Arrived early and given personal time to discuss city attractions over a cup of coffee and a biscuit. Quiet despite close proximity to restaurants and train station. Rooms a good size, and though some work on renovating the room was attractive. Breakfast made on request was best egg, cheese and tomatoe omelette...

What a fantastic hotel. Our original room was lovely and spacious. When we could not get the TV to work we called reception who came to the room straight away. The issue could not be fixed which didn't really bother us too much, but the helpful staff upgraded us to a suite with a balcony anyway. What a room! The...

I fell in love with Ghent this past week, partly because of staying at this lovely little boutique hotel (which is very reasonably priced). Some basics first: My room was modern and sleek, with a firm large bed and the heat was quiet and efficient through some chilly days. Breakfasts were Northern European style, substantial and delicious, with made-to-order omelets...
