Stayed one night in room 220 ('luxury room') facing the street and quite noisy. The hotel is in a good location in the centre of Gent and although reception gives a somewhat gloomy and poor first impression, the room was clean, well finished and comfortable; perhaps the oddities being the bathroom and separate toilet built into the room but not...

We had ten rooms in the hotel and so a wide mix of types and locations. Everything was fine and we were left with the feeling that the hotel is trying to differentiate itself but not quite yet managing it. By the time you get here they might have managed it. Small bar for an evening drink pleasant. The breakfast...

We booked a double room, but was given one of the apartments for our three night stay. Hotel staff were friendly and let us borrow a socket adapter without any fuss. The apartment was a good size, high ceilings with a kitchen that included a washer dryer. Decoration was a little sparse, and the bathroom strangely located between the bedroom...

The location was perfect. Right in the heart of Gent. We had a surprisingly large room on the top floor overlooking the spire- and belfry-filled skyline. The view was fantastic. We really liked having a king sized bed instead of two singles pushed together, and it was a comfy one. Also, good, fast, and free WIFI. Request a high floor...

We stayed for two nights- one double, one twin bedded room on first floor over the courtyard patio. Rooms very clean, spacious and air conditioning worked well. But what about the breakfast......definitely the best of our trip ( Belgium, Germany and Switzerland)! Plenty of choice and the pastries/cakes were exquisite. The receptionists were really helpful - booking restaurants, looking after...

My partner and I stayed here for 4 nights in June 2012. We arrived at 2.50pm and asked for our room and got told that it wasn't ready yet and that the earliest check in time was 3pm (only 10 mins away). We were told to sit and wait and they'd let us know when it was ready. At 3.30pm...

I was interested to read your valuable feedback and was sorry to learn that you felt that my reception team was less than helpful and welcoming. I always thrive in providing the best guest service and I offer my apologies for falling short on this occasion. As for the building work, and although it is a bit too late as...

We stayed at this hotel for 2 nights11th and 12th July. as a party of 8, we were given a executive room on the first floor at the rear of the hotel, which was accessed through the small court yard at the back of the hotel. The rest of our party were given rooms on the ground floor of the...

Good location, close to the old part of the city with the river flowing by. Clean rooms, we had one on the ground floor with direct acces to the patio-very nice. Breakfast was perfect: a big variety of fresh bread, loads of cereals and nuts, fruit and other pastries. Friendly staff.

The good first impressions began with a very friendly receptionist, who apologised for our room not being ready, (we were early), but she did show us somewhere safe to leave our suitcase, so that was OK. As the hotel is situated near the centre of town, finding somewhere for lunch was easy. So far so good. Things got better when...

We stayed in Hotel de Flandre the first week of Janusry. Location is just perfect, everything it's "round the corner", we had a room with views and the staff is frendly and helpful. Charming rooms, good and generous breakfast, wifi on the rooms, definetely a great choice I would recommend to anyone visiting Ghent.
