We stayed three nights in the large family room( which is massive). Lovely hotel with all its original features. The proprietor Gerald was incredibly helpful . Definitely recommend this hotel for anyone visiting this beautiful city. A nice 30 minute walk into the centre.

I spent a night in Gand and I appreciated this location for a sense of tranquillity. Bar and breakfast are really good and if you asked high floor mansard roof you will have a huge room to relax. Parking is free and downtown is only 10 minutes far by car.

Although it is slightly outside of the city centre, this charming little hotel is well worth booking. It has an elegant serene air about it and the host and staff are most welcoming. Our room (6) was spacious, quirky and most peaceful. The bed was comfortable and the tea/coffee making facilities most welcoming. We walked into the centre just before dusk and witnessed the magical transformation of the clever lighting illuminating the many stunning buildings. Ghent is breathtaking and although we stayed only one night, it’s a stay we shall remember for a very long time.

Picked this place based upon reviews...amazing hotel that used to be a very grand home. Good location a short tram ride from downtown -walk 5 mi utes to the tram stop. There are restaurants and shops you can walk to. Spacious rooms with lots of character and lovely 2nd floor terrace. Free parking is a plus. Bar has great choice of local Belgian brews. Loved chatting with Annalira at the front desk. The place felt like a home away from home.
