Have stayed here many times over the past years but the standard of the housekeeping and response to my concerns were on this occasion very very poor. Room had not been prepared and I was left feeling like the guilty person
The location is excellent, really in the historical certre of the city. The rooms are arge, comfortable and absolutely clean. The breakfast was good and the staff was nice and helpful. Part of the stay was still under restriction measures, but everything was weel organised and safe.
Very expensive in regard of the quality of the room. I spent 2 nights there, and I would not recommend the room (402) to anyone for the following reasons: cold and impossible to warm up The fridge in the minibar is extremely was extremely noisy when starting and stopping The bathroom door was non-functional and impossible to close the plugs for the boiler or any other equipment to be plugged in, not convenient to use in short a very questionable value for money
This hotel is extremely dated and needs a refurbishment, the carpet was dirty and the room wasn’t as clean as I would expect. The hotel also advised they held €25 for incidentals on out credit card but they charged the card and I am now having to chase to refund this. The location is great but I don’t think this hotel was worth the money
Lovely room - bigger than expected ,comfy bed, friendly staff but really noisy and difficult to sleep. Fabulous view from the room Check in was easy, staff were great - having a really lovely time until we went to bed. Unfortunately, people started noisily to return to their rooms/ leave bar opposite from 2am untill 5am and we got little sleep which was obviously the point of staying there. Had we been staying more than one night, we would have asked for a different room but there was little we ( or the hotel ) could do in the middle of the night
It was our 3 stay in NH Belfort hotel. We came back as it was always all perfect there. This time most of things were again perfect. Very friendly personnel. Very clean hotel. Very good breakfast. The only problem were the matrasses , it was so hard that I could not sleep and had to stand up often in the night. The previous visits it was OK but now maybe they were new ones.
We frequent the NH chain of hotels ona regular basis in Brussels and Amsterdam, however the service and standard of this hotel is extremely disappointing for this chain. We arrived early and were given our room for 2 nights, when we went into the room it was dated and there was an overpowering smell of cigarettes, we took our luggage back to reception and whilst we were assured it was a non smoking room they said that some customers still smoked in them. We asked for anothe room and we were told it wouldn’t be ready until 2pm we were fine with this as hadn’t expected an early checkin, arriving back at 3pm we were given our new room upon entering we noted the sofa was broken and the legs were on the sofa, in addition stains all over the carpet and headboard, buildup of mould and mildew in the shower, it was clearly not as described when we booked a modern room We went back down to reception again, it is to be noted that we were with friends and they were having similar issues with cleanlessness of the rooms. After a further 2 hour wait we eventually got another room which was clean and modern and we were happy with, but what a hassle we had to get a clean room and also this took up our time away. who i believe was the assistant manager tried to handle it as best as he could the manager was back of house but despite my friend and i asking to speak to him we were originally told he wasn’t in then we noted the assistant manager being told to go and speak to him out the back, when we asked another member of staff if he was in they sheepishly said he was but he never dealt with issues like this and left it to the staff, which was very disappointing. we did message the property prior to putting the review on here with photos and have now left it almost one month to give them the opportunity to respond which they haven’t. An extremely disappointing experience for both families when we were there to celebrate birthdays.…
Excellent location near Tram and many restaurants and bars. Stayed 3 nights in a clean, quiet, large room in Executive section. Excellent breakfast with many selections. Friendly and helpful staff. Loved visiting Ghent and hope to stay here again!
It was a great hotel. Personell at the reception area was very friendly. The rooms were clean, quiet and a great space. Bathroom was clean and nice. The bed was very good. Breakfast was also great. The only thing is that the hotel good have some more of a family hotel. It was a little bit business oriented. Overall we liked it.
Brilliant location in the centre of Ghent! Pet friendly and has secure underground parking with access to the hotel! Check-in took ages due to one poor man serving several guests! The room we were given proved to be very disappointing - and probably waiting to be refurbished! We asked for another room and to be fair, although the hotel was very very busy, one was found for the 3 days; an upgrade with no extra cost! The room was better but still fell short of some of the rooms in other NH hotels where we have stayed; but it was OK. The parking was good but the EV chargers, although plenty, would not accept any card we had! Breakfast was good. Staff were very helpful when not too busy!
