We made our booking via booking.com. The studio received was not corresponding the images of the studio we booked. When we arrived, a friend in Ghent was dropping us off. When we checked in (all via an intercom system) the host noticed there were 3 people iso the 2 booked. We received an immediate lecture that 3 people could not stay in the booked accommodation. That was never our plan. It could have been addressed differently. The person just dropped us off and wanted to make sure all was OK during check-in. The place was clean and comfortable. The information folder was incomplete ad crappy looking. Our 1 hour late check-out request was granted but in the end we did not need it. Upon leaving one of the hosts was cleaning another studio. She asked us: are you leaving, did you leave the key? By the way did you pay? Yes we did via Booking. Ok Bye! That was it. OK place but for 3 star the service, even if you want to limit contact, could have a different approach

We stayed for 3 nights. It is located near the center, wonderful location - behind Saint Jacobs squire. It is more than beautiful and clean and equipped with everything like real home. We stayed in the Penthouse apartment. It is on the 3rd floor. It is huge and very comfortable, Great bed, amazing bathroom with hot water, great heating for the cold days. Nice coffee and tea which I appreciated very much. The host is very kind and friendly. I would definitely book again. Highly recommended.

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay. Plenty of room, kitchen amenities, perfect location. We would definitely stay here again. While the street has cars and pedestrians in the daytime, it is very quiet at night - and we were on the first floor above the street. I would only suggest to install a full length mirror and place a foam pad on the bed for added comfort. The owner, Nelle, was extremely helpful in getting us a taxi when the one we called never showed up. It was easy check in - all went well. You will need to carry your luggage up a narrow steep stairway. Luckily our taxi driver helped us. Going down wasn't a problem. From this location, walk either right or left and behind to arrive at "Friday Market" square - where there is a large thriving market on Fridays! Go across and left a ways and then right to walk along all the cathedrals and bell tower. Or across and right to make your way quicker to the castle and canal for a boat ride. Old town, with all its streets and alleys, old buildings, canals, restaurants, coffee, and beer bars, is wonderful, friendly, safe, and easy to navigate. Count on about $12-15 in a taxi to the train station.

Once you find the place - its street signage is very small - you’ll be delighted with everything else. The rooms are well-appointed, spacious and modern. The location is excellent. And the hostess is most gracious. Highly recommended.

We stayed in the Penthouse apartment over the Easter weekend. The apartment is in a great location, very clean, great terrace and comfortable however few points I would advise, which I think should be considered. It’s noisy late into the night due to noise from a bar in the square. Every night there was loud shouting, music and noise from cars. The apartment wouldn’t be suitable for anyone who can’t use a steep staircase. There were three flights of stairs and no lift. This was awkward gaining access with luggage. The bath towels are very small! I would bring your own! Overall though it was good and we really enjoyed Gent.
