We had a really bad experience with immigration and Alamo rental i was starting to regret the trip until we got to the lodge. They were extremely nice and accommodating their location, the cabin and costumer service is superb would go back no doubt and will recommend to anybody. Andrea and Javier were awesome and the owner very pleasant 😎

The only reason I gave this lodge a 4 out of 5 is because there is not a lot to do there and I feel they have so much acreage that a hot tub, sauna, or hot springs area would be a great touch. Other than that, this place by far is the most unique place you will find in... More

Wonderful lodge to stay in. Staff was excellent Lodge rooms were great and they made it an incredibly comfortable with wood burning stoves at night. Bring a jacket and rain coat along as the temperatures get a little cooler, and enjoy the stoves at night.

We stayed here 2 nights ago and it was absolutely perfect! I was hesitant to book a room here after our long flight from San Diego, (thinking I should stay in Alajuela), but I am so happy I did. My family loved it. It was so peaceful and such a beautiful place to stay. We were in a garden room... More

We arrived to the lodge after exploring all day. We had suite #5, it was gorgeous. Beautiful hardwood floors, floor to ceiling Windows with a sitting area outside. The sitting area had flowers in which the hummingbirds visited occasionally. There was a couch an a desk with a coffee service. It gets quite chilly in the evenings here so I'd... More

A wonderful small and charming nice place, perfect to chill out after a day spent at the Poas national Park. The lodge is an ancient diary farm turned into a fine boutique hotel. There is a game room and a large and beautiful fireplace for damp evenings, usually a very nice place to make new friends. The food is great,... More

The Quetzal Suite #5 is simply stunning. With comfy queen size beds, furry hot water bottles tucked under the sheets at night to keep the chill out, and a private patio to soak in the midday sun, this lodge is the perfect nature retreat. Breakfast was varied and served with a smile every day, and evening meals featured fresh fish... More

We are here with a group and we were assigned rooms so did not have a choice. We did get to see the other rooms in the lodge and the building close to the lodge. Those rooms were stunning! However we got the room down hill of the lodge. #8 junior garden rooms. It was very clean, but an overwhelming... More

Thank you, Ms. Alison Schultz, for your commentary. Please be sure that we will take it very seriously. We do our best in order to provide our guests in the Garden Rooms as good a service as in the Lodge Rooms. We thank you very much for your recognition that our service was very much to your acceptance, and we... More

The area was a very pleasant surprise, so close to the capital but feeling just the right amount of remote. It consists of welcoming rolling farmland rather than harsh forest, and it’s not particularly hard to navigate, offering many great, authentic roadside cafes and fruit stands in season. It’s pleasantly cool, like England, with a tendency for rain, but is... More

This unique and charming mountain lodge is the perfect place for a romantic getaway. You may share the winding dirt road with a few cows as you approach the property beautifully nestled in the cloud forest away from city lights and busy streets. The natural beauty of the land and lodge seem to blend together in a seamless, thoughtful and... More
