The hotel is beautiful and the staff are exceptional! Our room was spacious and well appointed. The morning breakfast was delicious. I cannot say enough good things about The Dominican. The front desk was extremely helpful with all requests. It was my second stay but am already looking forward to my returning!
This hotel was in a great location. A walking distance to lots of shops, restaurants and sights. The staff were really helpful and polite and the room was clean and comfortable. The only reason I haven’t given 5/5 is the door between adjoining room did not hide much noise at all. I could hear all the sounds from the bathroom in the room next door 😳 This was a small problem in an otherwise lovely hotel. Easily remedied by either some soundproofing or requesting a room without an adjoining door.
Hotel was generally very nice but when I went to settle my bill they gave me a choice between dollars or euros. My original bill was of coarse in euros. when I asked them what was the difference they said nothing. But after they ran the card there was an unusually higher and unfavorable rate of conversion and a 3% conversion fee to boot! When I inquired why you did not explain these issues ahead of time the clerk said I did not know and was not willing to help at all. The financial manager of the hotel, Mr Laurent Lambert is not willing to help and totally disavows the problem. I am not sure about laws, but this might be legally fraud. Make sure you do not get cheated and always count your change here in Dominican as you may be shortchanged. I did
a feeling of coming home during the reception when arriving a perfect night in a Wonderfull kingsize bed in complete silence and a perfect breakfast to start a new day with the best wishes when checking out Thanks Leen & André
My friend and I recently stayed at The Dominican. It was an excellent experience. The hotel is in an excellent location for walking to key places, like the Grand Place and St. Michaels. It is close to a shopping center. Most importantly, parking is right next door. Thanks you so much for making our stay exceptional. K
I loved to historic building and interior design. Breakfast was great too with lots of healthy choices. Staff was friendly. Room was up to standard, clean and with a comfortable bed. One out of two running machines in the gym was malfunctioning. The gym equipment wasn't properly cleaned in a while, this needs improvement.
Stayed here for two nights recently, overall great stay. The front desk staff is extremely helpful and nice, some of the best we have encountered at any hotel. This includes Manuel, Cadot, Anastasia, and Milo. The hotel is very cool with the Abbey theme throughout the hotel. Room was very clean. We declined housekeeping the second day and housekeeping automatically left a basket outside the door with towels and toilet paper which was a nice touch. Only downside would be if they had a better breakfast offer or complementary breakfast for those with brand status. Location was great, just a five minute walk from the tourist sites in Brussels.
It's been a pleasure to be able to stay at The Dominican in Bruxelles. The hotel has such a history and is definitely worth visiting. There is so many nice features and the location cannot be more central, within a couple of minutes you are at the main station but also at the main square. The theatre is just around the corner including main shopping streets. Their restaurant is a must visit even if you have some dietary requirements. Beside the forgotten coffee creamer in the room😁, the stay was perfect.
This hotel was really gorgeous - check in was smooth, quick and staff were polite, friendly and efficient. Our room was impeccably clean and lovely with a court yard view. I have to say the bed was so unexpectedly comfortable - I had one of the best sleeps in a hotel here! The breakfast the next morning was delicious with a good range of options. Not entirely convinced by the coffee though. My two year old had his breakfast for free, which was kind. I forgot my adapter and staff quickly provided one. A huge bonus was the amazingly central location - we were able to walk to almost all the tourist sites on our list. I would definitely stay here again and highly recommend if you are visiting Brussels.
The hotel was nicely appointed and staff friendly and helpful. The rooms were nice with tall ceilings and a few stairs up to the bathroom. The shower was our only issue with water spraying onto the bathroom floor and the actual shower floor was slippery with no mats available.
