Lovely gem of a hotel hidden away in a quiet little courtyard two or three minutes walk from Mannekin Pis and Bourse. The staff were very helpful and friendly in fact so much more than any hotel I’ve ever stayed in (and there’s been a few lol). The girl on Reception was amazing, I didn’t catch her name but she helped wrap a painting and found and rescued my broken charm bracelet from the Courtyard outside and even searched for the charms. A wonderful lady, happy and friendly and a credit to the hotel. The room was pretty standard but had everything you need, the bed was comfy and the bathroom clean. The room was quite on the big side and included a safe and a fridge. The only problem I encountered is that on their booking site it says there are coffee making facilities in the room which there wasn’t but I’m sure if you ask they will accommodate this. We weren’t too bothered so didn’t ask. I couldn’t recommend this hotel highly enough, yes the room is basic but being part of the hotels family is worth the price alone.

Stayed here for one night on a Saturday night. We were really impressed with the room, the location and the staff. The continental breakfast was fresh and a lot of choice. A bit of noise at night on the street, but as you are in the centre it didnt bother us like some other hotels in Brussels. So we would definitely go back and stay in this hotel.

We were pleased with the location of this hotel, 20mins walk from Midi station & very close to centre. The staff are friendly & the reception looks good but on the way to the room it's like walking in a council estate block of flats & the rooms seem more like a hostel. Breakfast is nice & good variety. Mixed feelings about this hotel considering the price we paid (around £100 per night).

Sophie greeted us so friendly and check-in was fast and easy. She allowed an early check-in because our room was ready. Clean and spacious room and overlooking Rue de Lombard. Road noise not an issue. The breakfast room was beautiful, decorated in white. Small but more than adequate selection: fresh fruit, yogurt, cakes, pastries and bread. Lovely cheeses and cold meat with boiled eggs. Coffee machine for good capuchino. But this hotel is all about location. Two minutes walk to Mannekin Pis, 3 minutes walk to Grand place, 5 minutes to Beurs and 7 minutes from central station. And there are excellent restaurants and chocolate shops close by. The map Sophie provided was a great help for exploring Brussels. Great family-run hotel with helpful and friendly staff!

We were very pleased with this hotel. We arrived early but were allowed to check in and leave our bags anyway. I'm a little surprised by comments about the value - Brussels is an expensive place and the cost of other hotels was much higher than this one. It couldn't be better situated for the main sights. The rooms were not big, but if all you want is a clean, tidy place to shower and sleep this is ideal. And when we were leaving they stored our baggage for free until our train left - and offered us the use of a room to tidy up before we went. These are the things that make you want to come back.

La Legende Hotel is just a couple blocks from the Grand Plaza - and convenient to the train station and bus lines. It is a simple but friendly place and they serve an excellent breakfast. Excellent value for the money.

La Legende is not a grand hotel, but for a one night business trip to Bruxelles it is very good. The location is very central. The staff are friendly and welcoming. The bedroom was clean and the bed comfortable. I’m certainly happy to come back.

My friend and I flew from Florida to Brussels for a vacation. Unfortunately, my suitcase did not arrive in Brussels. Finally, the next day, the Brussels airport called to say that they now had the suitcase but because of a backlog, they could not deliver it for two more days! As I was trying to protest, the Le Legende proprietor (Sophia) took the phone and tried her best to insist it be delivered that day. When we were not successful, Sophia dropped everything she was doing, put me and my friend in her own car and personally drove us some distance to the airport. When we arrived, she paid for the parking and took me inside and told me what I needed to do to get back into the baggage area. She then waited outside for over a half hour while I retrieved my bag and then drove us back to the train station so we could continue our journey. AMAZING CUSTOMER SERVICE!! Not only would Sophia not accept a cent of reimbursement for her expenses, but she was a delight to spend time with. As a traveler, you might find a fancier hotel but you could not surpass the level of courtesy and service you will receive at Hotel La Legende!

Another Rick Steves find from his travel book. Perfect location, 5 minute walk from the travel station, excellent price point. I stayed for two nights in a single room with a queen bed, small room but adequate, mini-fridge, lot's of hanging and storing areas. Nice remodeled bathroom. Elevator, fast and efficient wi-fi. Complimentary breakfast, yogurt, toast, pastries, coffee, etc. Receptionists very helpful, professional and polite. Walk down Lombard a few blocks and you are right in the middle of Grand Place. Would highly recommend.
