When I am in Brussels for work, I like to stay close to the EU institutions. Sofitel on Pl. Jourdan, next to the Park is perfect for me. The highlights are the bed (soft, comfy) and the toiletries (Hermès - nice touch!). Breakfast table in the lobby with items offered to take Back to the room was thoughtful and delicious, although I missed milk for my coffee. A couple other thoughts: - bed , although comfy, needed some rearrangements since sheets were put on in a somewhat haphazard, messy way; - waterboiler is needed in room, boiling water for tea in Nespresso machine is awkward; - parts of wall in the bathroom would need a new coat of paint. Pleasant stay altogether, thank you.
In challenging times like these staying in a hotel can be a source of concern, whereas my recent stay at the Sofitel Brussels Europe was completely positive. The staff was courteous and efficient and the cleanliness and comfort of my room made me feel completely relaxed and safe. The restaurant was closed on account of the current restrictions, but the grab-and-go breakfast in the lobby and the takeaway meals from the restaurant were great.
So elegant hotel, clean and exquisite design. The staff was nice, polite and service minded. I really did appreciate the stay in Sofitel Europe overlooking Place Jourdan. The bar was smart and had a palette of tasty drinks.
Location is one of the best in Brussels. Room are large and with great view over the park beside. Above everything... staff is so nice and absolutely friendly and professional. We love them and the place!
The hotel is in a lovely little square surrounded by restaurants ,bakeries pub supermarkets pubs and a park!not so far from the city center ,40 min walking or 30 minutes by metro.the hotel is more a 4 star business hotel then a 5 star one.the table and the wardrobe were a little bit scratched and the shower door wasn't working properly.Everyday 2 bottled water per person are free. The shampoo ,shower gel and body cream from hermes are wonderful. The hotel is clean.Due to covid the breakfast is offered in the room. There are different options but each of them only include one juice and one beverage plus the food items of course .in my opinion a 5 star hotel shouldn't limit a breakfast beverage option .The radio system and the bed are great.
