This Bed and Breakfast is ideally located just a few hundred meters from the center of Brussels. The rooms are spacious, bright and extremely clean.. A Mac computer is provided in the room.
The owner is very attentive to details and follows the strictest sanitary protocol.
The breakfast is refined and exquisite, served by the owner.

We spent 5 nights at Art de Sejour in February. Everything was really perfect. The location is a very short walk to all the sights in central Brussels. Our room was large with a comfortable bed, huge shower, in room Nespresso machine, refrigerator with free water and soft drinks, great soundproof windows, flat screen TV, computer, etc. Breakfast each morning was excellent. Mario is the absolute best host who is extremely helpful with suggestions for local sightseeing, restaurants, etc. He is very personable and breakfast was always accompanied by interesting conversation with Mario. Overall Art de Sejour is the perfect place to stay in Brussels and I know exactly where we will stay when we return.

Our experience at this fine B&B was extraordinary. The personally made breakfasts each morning, the delightful and informative conversations with Mario made the visit there very worthwhile. Mario is responsible for the entire place being in the fine condition that it is. Our room was large and well appointed with comfortable bed, bathing and toilet facilities. We would not hesitate to stay there again when in Brussels.

We stayed in Room 1 (a former drawing room) for 2 nights. The room, its bath and an ante-chamber (with storage) were spacious, bright, well equipped, immaculate and extremely stylish. It was like something in a magazine. The elevator is a big plus.
Breakfasts were extremely good, with options of eggs, smoked salmon, cheese, meat and mixed fruit.
The host communicates well. He is welcoming yet unobtrusive, informative, flexible and warm.
The neighbourhood felt entirely safe, though we did see some homeless people.
We walked from the train station in 12 minutes. We did all our sight-seeing on foot, too. The Grand' Place is 5-10 minutes' walk.
A high point of our recent European trip.

Ideally located, Mario's B&B is within walking distance from the historic center of Brussels.
He will give you a warm welcome, and very useful hints on where to go and what to do. Do not hesitate to let him know what's on your wish list.
The house is just perfectly maintained.
Spacious rooms with big windows, perfectly clean, very comfortable bed, free drinks (Nespresso or tea, & cold softs in the minibar). Walk-in shower with opening window. There's natural light everywhere, which I always particularly appreciate. No carpets or anything, which is good for my allergies.
The breakfast is great too: fresh fruits & smoothie, morning baked bread and croissants, ... anything you would like! The first morning, I asked for apple juice (which Mario did not have), the next day it was served to me without even asking. Mario is attentive to little details like that which will make your stay even more enjoyable.

My husband and I are staying here right now and cannot say enough good things about this bed and breakfast. For starters- Mario the host is so accommodating from an immaculate hotel room to a delicious breakfast to giving us a map and his recommendations for the best places to visit. Our room is very large, quiet and exquisitely designed-Mario thought of everything to make his guests comfortable. In short. Perfect hotel.

My wife and I stayed at the B&B for 5 days. It is within a walk of 25 minutes or less of all major sites in Brussels, which is akin to a small Paris. We are veteran travelers and this is the best lodging experience we have ever experienced. Mario the proprietor erected this five story B&B from scratch in 2008, constructing a large three part room on each floor with a sleeping area, a foyer and a bathroom. He designed the room with a full array of first class amenities including a Nespresso machine with cookies, a fully outfitted refrigerator, luxurious robes and a bracingly hot shower. The breakfast he serves is excellent featuring superb croissants. The best thing about the property is Mario himself who is knowledgeable and very sweet and will do anything you ask to make yours a memorable experience.

Wonderful B&B in prime central location. We were able to walk to both train stations and all the city sites. The rooms are very spacious for Europe and there is only 1 room per floor so not overcrowded. The amenities like drinks, tea, coffee, snacks were complimentary and already in the room.

The host, Mario, was incredibly welcoming and treated us to fresh breakfast every morning. He even packaged us some fruit, yogurt and granola for our final day since we were leaving very early before normal breakfast between 8am-10am. Upon checkin he gave us a city map and inquired about our interests. His recommendation of a Flemish food restaurant was great as the food was delicious. Just an excellent host who takes care of his guests.

11/10 experience, highly recommend.

A perfect location and a beautiful place to stay. Mario renovated this four-story home to perfection, and every room is different. We stayed on the top floor, which had a very contemporary chic style. Absolutely silent, despite being in a relatively busy area, with views over the rooftops. Breakfast was delicious and nourishing for all the walking we could do from the location. Definitely returning!

Exceptional service. I am blown away.
I have travelled extensively as a solo female, and I can honestly say that I have never felt as looked after as I was by this hotel.
Mario went way above and beyond, and the whole stay totally exceeded my every expectation.

From the moment I booked, right through to my departure, Mario was attentive, professional and welcoming. He emailed before my stay to enquire about my check-in time, and emailed again to check I had arrived home safely.

I had a few issues with my bank card being blocked while I was away, and was therefore unable to use my Uber app which was stressful when I was trying to book a taxi to the station so I could catch the bus to the airport at 2:30am. Mario very kindly booked me an Uber from his account, and even waited up until my departure at 2:30am to help with my cases and ensure I got my taxi safely!
This, to me, is world class service, and as a solo female traveller, I could not be more grateful to Mario for making what was potentially a very stressful situation so seamless.

I just knew from the moment I arrived and met Mario’s gorgeous dogs that I was going to feel very at home there, and I was right!
The whole hotel is just bursting with character and is so tastefully and classily decorated. I was lucky enough to be given Room One, which took my breath away! It was stunning, and so spacious. I even had a balcony!
Everywhere was spotlessly clean.

Breakfast was absolutely gorgeous, with lots of variety.

The hotel is perfectly located and within walking distance of the city’s major attractions, including the Grand Place.

I can’t recommend Art de Sejour enough.

We are travelling on Eurostar from the UK. How far is it from the station and rough guide price for a taxi please?
Answer from Jenny B
Scottsdale, Arizona30 contributions15 helpful votes
We came in on Central train station in first class, they gave us a voucher for a taxi which wasn't to pay for the taxi but they said was easier to deal with taxi's using the voucher. Basically a man stands there with a sign up and will personally lead you to the taxi. Fee was 9 euros on the cab's screen, he told us he had to charge per person and charged us 24 euros.. Big rip off per Mario. There is no tipping for taxi's or in restaurants per Mario. It is really close to the train central train station and could easily be walked if you can deal with the luggage.

directions from airport to hotel, please
Answer from Mario Knip
Brussels, Belgium3 contributions
Dear Judy, Easiest is by taxi from the airport to our place, will take about 30 minutes and will cost aprox 50 euro's Alternatively you could take the train from the airport to Brussels Midi station There are two ways from Brussels Midi station to our place, Taxi of course but you can also use the tram Take tram number 3 or 4 in the direction North, after 2 stops you have arrived at Anneessens, exit the tram on he righthand side and follow the signs Place Fontainas, take the escalator towards the lobby. Once in the lobby you take the righthand side exit again, you will now be on the corner of Boulevard Lemmonier.place fontainas and Rue des Bogards. Enter Rue des Bogards to the right, and we will be aprox 30 meters from the corner on the left (red door) Kind Regards Mario
