Bathrooms are disgusting, so I decided to clean myself. I'm allergic to dust and had a pretty hard time with the stinky room, filthy carpet and curtains. The drawers were dirty, bring your own hangers and bath towel. Forget about breakfast, have something else from the kiosk accross the street (where I also bought all the stuff to clean the...

One moment this hotel has a 24-hour reception, the next they are 'so called' closed between 5 and 6 in the morning. That was not really a problem, but the general attitude of the night porter was so shocking that we called the police!!! As 2 women trying to enter the hotel at night, after supper and drinks with colleagues...

DO NOT STAY HERE! Someone was held up at knife point just after I arrived outside the hotel and it is smack bang in the middle of loads of sex shops. The first morning when I woke up I found 2 bugs in my pj's and another in the bed! I was refused a room change and was also refused...

I chose Manhattan Hotel because of its great location and good value for money (good price for a single room in a capital city). Really easy to get to and from - only 5 mins from Gare du Nord and 10 mins from Grand Place so I didn't bother with public transport at all once I got there. There are...

We were given a room with short notice as our booked hotel had double booked us. We were given a good welcome, the hotel is old and tired but clean. The room was of adequate size, but had no view. The bath had no plug and the shower was hand held one only. Got what you paid for. Breakfast was...

that's probably the worst hotel I ever had, the only thing interesting from this hotel is its location. Just 10 minutes walk from the very center (Grande place) of brussels. Except the location, all are horrible in this hotel, the staff are not helpful at all (gave me completely wrong direction about a museum I was looking for), the breakfast...

Close to the Brussels Center and Nord Station but what a Dump!! The rooms are small and the breakfast the worst [--] I have ever had!!! Don't stay there!! There are much better hotels in Brussels with better prices.

Unfortunately, I did not find this site prior to my visit... The raised eyebrows from the taxi driver taking me to the hotel gave me an indication all was not well. This is undoubtedly the worst hotel I have almost stayed in anywhere !. Having booked with them directly online my companion and I arrived at the hotel and were...

I have read the reviews of the Manhattan Hotel dated 2003. I can assure you that now, in 2006, there has been no change. I am sorry that I did not read the reviews before booking, even though with so much people coming and going every day, there was hardly any choice because many hotels were either fully booked or...

This hotel is cheap, but there are carpets everywhere and they smell old/funny + their elevator was broken so the service elevator is used (cramped). The room itself was all brown and the floor carpet was not vacuumed for a while ... and the bathroom had no shower curtain. So all in all, this hotel is not to western standards....
