Beautiful hotel with huge rooms and tasty breakfast. I especially appreciated the possibility to say no thanks to daily cleaning and instead donate the money to charity! Location is excellent and overall the hotel was a pleasant experience as it should in this price range.

Comfortable as ever and very relaxing. Unusually we had the room service menu for the first time but in the bar. Jozef, who we hadn’t encountered on previous visits, who was running the bar was very efficient, helpful and pleasant.

The Stanhope feels very much like a high-level English hotel in the heart of Brussels. My single was relatively small, but well appointed and carefully decorated. Despite the traditional decor, the room temperature was adjustable, lights fully controllable from the bed, and there were sufficient outlets for devices. The breakfast buffet had a good selection. The location for the European Quarter is excellent.

I stayed many times in Stanhope hotel in Bruxelles. Never disappointed. The rooms and suites are perfectly clean and spacious. Breakfast is very various and just delicious. Staff is very kind and helpful. The hotel is situated in 10-15 minutes by foot from historic city center. My warmest regards to the people who work in this hotel and always make our stay so pleasant.

I stayed at the Stanhope for three nights and was very happy with the level of service and quality of the room. The room wasn't particularly large but was beautifully furnished with lovely hard wood floors and modern fixtures in the bathroom. The location was also excellent. My only (very small) complaint is that the restaurant isn't always open (e.g. closed on Sunday night, weekday breakfasts) but room service is available. I tried room service on two evenings (as much wasn't open near the hotel) - the pizza the first night was absolutely terrible but the risotto the second night was fantastic. I don't know if the difference was the personnel on staff the two nights or if its a question of inconsistency with the menu.

During our stay, we noted that the hotel catered to EU professional types, and of course it would, since it was the closest high-class hotel to the EU offices. We were told, half jokingly that all the senior EU officials would be booked here while their underlings were billeted farther away - ha ha ha. So the location is pretty quiet despite being only a block away from the main thoroughfare. However, I would not recommend the hotel for regular tourists since it is quite out of the way from the palace gardens, the historic Grand Place, and the commercial city centrum. But if you're the type who walks a lot, it's not an issue. Front desk, bell service and breakfast wait staff are all pleasant, engaging, and service-oriented. Especially the maitre'd for breakfast, a very jolly fellow. The rooms are well-appointed with gold-plated or gold-painted trim in many places. If we had to complain, it would probably be a lack of US or english-language TV programs, except for CNN and BBC. We almost had a problem with the wifi on our Macs, but the tech staff was able to do workarounds using a private network so we got our wifi up the next day.…

The room was excellent and close to the apartment of our son, the Standesamt where the wedding took place and the restaurant where the marriage was celebrated. All family members were able to find accomodations at the hotel and shared a breakfast together.
