The hotel's location very close to the Grand Place and pedestrian streets is its maximum attraction. The room was spacious, clean, and quiet. The hotel has a great breakfast service and attentive and courteous professionals at the reception.
Very decent hotel. Very central location 5 mins from gran plaza. Good visit - very clean and of a good standard. This was a business trip so it was important to be close to the venue of the conference and in a central location. Not disappointed.
Would highly recommend this hotel. Stayed 3 nights with breakfast included. Central location , walking distance to Brussels Central, large selection of restaurants & shopping district. Hotel spotless, breakfast very adequate, staff very friendly & welcoming from check in, to dining, to the cleaning staff. Credit to all the staff. If I was to pick a flaw, it would be to upgrade carpets in room, but it's a minor thing to complain about.
I was happy with my choice of hotel on the whole. Location was central, very close to loads of bars, cafes, shops etc and Grand Place. De Brouckere metro is about 5 mins walk away. Loads of shopping nearby and we went for the Christmas Markets all of which are within a reasonable walk. A cab from the Eurostar terminal cost about 11 euros, going back in heavy traffic was 20. The hotel have a luggage room which was useful for storing cases on our last day. A real plus of this hotel was the lovely breakfast offering. Pleasant self serve area in the basement with a great selection of items - coffee, juice, pastries, fruit, yogurt and a waffle maker as the icing on the cake! The main problem was that the air con didn’t work. Even though it was December the temperature in the room varied from 23-26 degrees and if you opened the window the noise from outside kept you awake. We had a triple room which I had thought was a superior room meaning a kettle / tea / coffee but none of that was provided. Beds were comfy, we would have slept well if it hadn’t been for the heat. I wasn’t entirely convinced about the cleaning but it wasn’t bad enough to raise as an issue. All that said, I would probably stay here again.…
Stayed here for 3 nights in early December and enjoyed my time at the Floris. The room was clean and warm and the beds comfortable but I was most impressed with the bathroom which looked like it had been recently modernized. The hotel is close to everything and there is plenty to do and see close by. The staff were friendly and helpful. Breakfast was included in our stay and the safe in the room was free to use, which is a nice touch to have these days. As our pick up wasn't until late afternoon we were able to make use of the complimentary luggage room. I would use the Floris again if I ever returned back to Brussels.
The rooms smelled of damp. The decor is dreadful with very poor maintenance. A/c unit that did not work and no means of turning on/off. Despite booking and paying for a superior room (bathrobe, slippers, tea/coffee/free Hollywood movies) none of this was provided and no compensation offered for the lack of faciities. The hotel was happy to take our money and provide no superior service in return
Very well located, near to le Grand Place, shops, bars, restaurants and convenient for Ancienne Belgique gig venue. Staff were efficient, polite and friendly. Internet password is provided on the key card holder, so that was helpful. Room was quiet, clean and comfortable. Air conditioning was a nice bonus, as the weather was hot. Bathroom had hairdryer and body/hair wash. Only a single person stay, but given a room with 3 beds !!!. Carpet looked like it had a flood from shower, but shower showed recent grouting. Only minor issue with the room: no plug sockets next to any of the beds, so had to charge my mobile phone across the other side of the room overnight instead. As a single female occupant, for security reasons, I would’ve liked my phone within reach in case of emergency. The one main issue - I have a dairy allergy and the milks/spreads were not labelled. Two jugs of milk next to each other - asked a staff member which was soya, but due to the language barrier, I was not confident what I was told was correct, so felt risky. As the internet signal does not work in the dining area, I could not get a list of ingredients on the spread, so went toastless. I had emailed the hotel over 24 hours before re: non dairy items - and 2 days after returning home have still not had a response. Labelling would be helpful, as I went hungry rather than make myself ill. Most people don’t have the food issues I do. I would recommend a stay here. It was a good price for the standard and location.…
A good stay at the Floris. Friendly staff and great location for sightseeing. A couple of issues with the room but these were sorted quickly and professionally. Great breakfast with good range of continental and cooked. The breakfast room is however now in the basement rather than the rooftop, so no longer the acclaimed view. Would visit again.
The hotel was lovely and clean and centrally located, the staff were friendly regardless of their role. The room was spacious, the food was tasty. The view from the restaurant was spectacular, with shops, bars and restaurants close by.
Room was large and clean, bed was comfy and the room was quiet unlike others have mentioned. Only slight complaint was the bathroom was small, but the shower was large as it took up the majority of it. The included breakfast was good with plenty of choice and had a great view of the city. Staff were helpful and friendly. Thoroughly enjoyed our stay and would recommend to others 👍🏻
