Firstly it’s important to note this is a pet friendly hotel which I didn’t see clearly on booking.com. You can expect dogs barking as we heard prolifically on the third floor and when it’s raining as it was on one day, the odour of wet dog in elevators and generally on certain floors. We even noticed a dog lift its leg and urinate up the wall whilst waiting for the lift! The first room we had stunk of sewage and heavy faeces and upon complaint to reception we were told they have no space and could be moved the following day. We then waited 90mins for a cleaner to arrive to try and clean/ mask the smell and all the staff did was hand over multi surface cleaner then walk off. We were told go and enjoy your day and your cases would be relocated to your new room by the time we returned. We returned to find the room still stunk and still not being moved. We had to pursue reception to get relocated into a so called more superior room which turned out to be the same with a smaller bed. Breakfast is €25 per person and average at best. Get there early or risk finding dirty tables, crumbs and food on the floor and messy stations around the food. In summary Choose an alternative hotel unless you need a hotel with your dog…

Amazing hotel in a lovely, quaint area of Brussels. Sablon is the perfect location, not only did we feel safe as two female travellers but it’s also only 10 minute walk to the central station and Grand Palace. The room was very modern and clean with a view over Grand Sablon which was festively decorated. Although we were only on the first floor it was quiet at night. The king size bed was huge and very comfortable. Online check in was smooth and the staff were all friendly on arrival. So glad we chose to stay here and would highly recommend!

We stayed here for 4 nights. The hotel is in a lovely quiet area of Brussels, but perfect location for visiting the main attractions and an easy 10 minute walk from central train station. Our room was great - clean and comfortable. All staff from reception, housekeeper, breakfast were lovely and helpful. I have marked this review down a star as I didn't enjoy the breakfast. On the 4 mornings, the hot servings were always cold, even thought they had just been put out and the bacon was barely cooked. Also, the toaster didn't toast. However the pastries were lovely. If getting train from airport, ensure you know which stop is the right one as there are 3 options for the city. The closest one to hotel is central. I would recommend this hotel and would stay again if returning, however wouldn't pay for the breakfast.…

I stayed at the NH Grand Sablon for 2 nights in a Premium Room with View with a king bed. It was very comfortable and spacious. Sablon is a beautiful, less touristy and super quaint area and the hotel overlooks the square (Place du Grand Sablon). When we were visiting it was the Winter Wonders festival so there was live music and a DJ in the square at night, and music went until midnight. We were enjoying the festivities so it didn’t bother us, but it’s something to be aware of. I don’t know if the “view” was really worth paying up for as the square was not particularly picturesque and the view of the church is only from the side. My room was super comfortable and well laid out for travelling, especially the bathroom. The large walk-in shower with adjustable water pressure was way better than your average hotel shower. There was also lots of counter space and towels, 2 robes, and an excellent full-strength hairdryer. The only downside about the room was that it was somewhat lacking in charm - but clean and contemporary. If you want to be in Sablon then this hotel is a fine choice.…

We had a very enjoyable 2 night stay in a superior room at this hotel which is ideally situated to explore Brussels. Our 4th floor room overlooked the back of the church on the square. It was a decent size with a good walk in shower and a vast comfortable bed. We had breakfast one morning which was very good with an extensive buffet selection though it is on the pricey side. We found the hotel quiet at night and slept well. A minus is the lack of a decent bar. There is a bar area within the restaurant though it closed early on the Saturday and was not open at all on the Sunday though there are several nice bars in the area. The staff were lovely and everyone we encountered was friendly and helpful. We would happily stay here again.

Enjoyable one night stay. I had the premium room with view. The room was a good size, modern and quiet. Clean. The bed was comfortable. There was a view of a gorgeous church. The lobby was large and inviting. The location is convenient to walk to most Brussels sites. We did make the mistake of walking from the train station with lots of luggage. The cobblestone streets and tracks were hard to maneuver. The location proved trickier to find. Overall, a very nice hotel.

Quiet, comfortable, well-designed rooms. We had a room facing the back, so away from the street noises. ALL the staff is delightful and goes above and beyond. The Sablon location is probably the safest area in the center of Brussels. Easy walk to all the tourist places, and abundant public transportation nearby. A little surprising in such a modern hotel is the lack of USB ports in the room, but it's really not a big deal.

This hotel is not a 4 star hotel. I cannot believe this was on the Amex preferred hotels list. It was dirty (see photos), had an awful smell, missing or broken fittings and fixtures and the "view" was into someone's living room. The room was very basic, the bed was very uncomfortable and certainly not worth the almost €200 per night paid. Upon arrival, there was a coffee mug with lipstick on it in the room, brown stains on the toilet, stains on the surfaces, at least two different shoeprints in the shower and a very unpleasant smell. I asked at front desk if housekeeping could possibly come to help out, which they did but alas the coffee cup with lipstick remained as did a few other stains. I cleaned most of it but decided to leave the coffee mug as a marker to see if it would be picked up at any point in the stay and lo and behold it was still there at check out. The rooms are quite poorly lit and even during the day, it was difficult to get the daylight in due to a building next to the hotel blocking the light (and also feeling like keeping the curtains closed because the room was opposite someone's living room!) The walls seemed paper thin and I could hear people speaking. There was also a strange noise at night like someone dragging a table across the floor above every so often, which was loud and distracting. Most of the staff were warm and helpful, however, there was one member of staff who really should not be working as front of house. This particular staff member was rude, abrupt, unhelpful, unpleasant. The restaurant food was very good. Overall I do not recommend this place, next time I will not go with an Amex recommend/collection hotel and stick to recommendations from others.…

We loved Brussels, but would definitely never stay here again. While the location was awesome, the room was flithy, in disrepair, and had a LOT of black mold in the shower. We didn't feel comfortable in the room, and I was disappointed that I paid for a suite, as the regular rooms were more updated. Save yourself, and don't go here!

The people working at this hotel are very helpful and friendly. The location is very convenient, but not very noisy. Everything worked very well. The decor is a bit bland, but everything is in good condition and comfortable. There were nice amenities such as slippers, robes, an espresso machine, and a kettle, and wifi. Very happy we chose this hotel for our first trip to Brussels.
