The staff were first class and very professional. The hotel on the whole was lovely, although I feel overpriced for a small room with a view overlooking a dingy roof. Our main disappointment was the lack of vegan/ vegetarian breakfast. We advised when booking we were vegan so expected plant-based replacements at breakfast time…we had paid an extra £256 for breakfasts during our stay on top of our room rate. Whilst there was plenty of cereal and fruit, it was astonishing that there wasn’t even a veggie sausage available. It’s really not hard to keep a packet in the freezer! On the second day of no veggie replacements my husband spoke to the waiter who appeared to make notes…but nothing changed on the third or fourth breakfast. I find it incredible that such an organised and well presented hotel cannot afford to buy £2 of veggie sausages and quite frankly other ingredients such as scrambled tofu and rashers. Last point I’d like to make…. whilst it is evidently currently very trendy for waiters to take orders without using a note pad and it is very impressive for them to memorise your order, it is irritating and unimpressive when they do not remember your order and items are missing. This happened on every occasion. Would be far better if they used a notebook and pen, scribbled the order down and got it right! The upside for this hotel was a great location and fabulous concierge staff.

Great location, great service, and our room was perfect!!! The concierge was terrific!!! It happened that during our stay my cell phone fell out of my pocket in a cab, and members of the concierge went way out of their way to help me retrieve it!! Which I was able to do with their help!!

I was so excited to go back to the Hotel after COVID. I was not very impressed by the contrary. First, American Express coordinated picked up from the airport. THey never showed up. THe front desk were not friendly. I just arrive knowing that the checking in was going to be at 4 pm. I only needed a place to change my shoes. The lady at the front desk did not offered a good service. And she was upset why I arrived earlier. What a difference with the Raddison Blu Hotel in Nairobi where the service to the client was outstanding (I was coming to be there for 2 weeks) and stay for 1 night at the Amigo. THe concierge and the service to the room are great. However, the hotel when they gave you the bill, they wanted to read all the expenses. I told them that I prefered to review it myself. I found the charge for the pick up from the airport that never arrived. They asked me: have you wait for the car to arrive? I told them that if a service has been requested, the car has to be there. In addition, since i have luggage, there was 45 minutes from when I arrived until I left the lugggage area. I also asked them to include the breakfast in my bill before I checked out. WHen I went to the restaurant, the lady asked my room. I showed her (since I had the bill in my hand) that I already paid for the brunch. She said: I have to call the front desk. Again, a very unfriendly host and not nice. I did not enjoy my stay at this hotel. The people at the front desk used to be nice. The new staff needs some service to the customer training. THey made feel the client that we are not welcome. I strongly recommend the front desk staff and the host of the brunch restaurant to do some practical training at the Radisson BLu Upper Hill in Nairobi so they will leanr how to welcome a client in the most professional and friendly way.

This hotel is central to almost everything - restaurants, offices, sightseeing... Their rooms are big and the hotel has definitely a five star feel despite the it's name. If your hitting the gym, I would say its adequate with branded gym equipment. I would definitely stay here again.

The Amigo is centrally located so you can walk to museums and meals. We stayed two nights and had a low floor suite that faced out to other buildings making it necessary to keep our room dark for privacy. Everything in the room was working and the bed was very comfortable. You will feel welcomed and enjoy the VIP service by a excellent team at the Amigo.

We stayed at The Amigo for 3 nights as part of a package with Eurostar. We had a deluxe room which was very comfortable with a king bed and also very quiet, this may have been because we looked over a quite side street. We had to ask for tea and coffee making facilities, but a tray arrived swiftly and was refreshed every day. The Hotels position is perfect, you can walk to a huge variety of very good restaurants and bistros, all those we went to were recommended by the concierge’s, all of whom excelled at their job. The Grand Place is 3 mins walk, the central station, 10 mins. We spent one day in Bruges, trains run hourly and you don’t need to book. The journey is an hour, the train was very busy although we managed to get a seat. The Hotel is, unsurprisingly used by a lot of business people, but this doesn’t detract from the service, although breakfast ( which is superb) can feel a bit like a business conference. Turn down service was good, but surprisingly, no Belgium Choc on the pillow, but rather an anti ageing face mask, this caused us to chuckle. We had a lovely stay and would recommend the hotel unreservedly.

Have stayed at the Amigo many times (it's my favorite hotel in Brussels), but my first time back since Covid. Not much has changed in the public spaces or the rooms or with the general service -- all still very good. And the location cannot be beaten - it is perfect. However, there have been some changes to the breakfast that were not so great. They used to have eggs and bacon and sausage available as part of the buffet, but those items have been removed and now you must order and pay separately for them. Additionally, they do not replenish food that is gone from the buffet, i.e., if the fruit or rolls are almost gone they do not bring new fruit or rolls out. Accordingly, you must arrive to breakfast early to ensure that you get whatever it is you want from the buffet. They also shut the buffet down well in advance of the announced end time -- I went at 10:30 and was told the buffet closes at 11, but they started clearing it at 10:40. Also, for a 5 star hotel the fitness room is owefully inadequate -- it is tiny with very little equipment. That being said, I would still only stay at the Amigo in Brussels.

Dear Mr. Richard Strulson, Thank you very much for sharing your feedback following your recent stay with us. First of all, it is a pleasure to have you back after this long and complicated "Pandemic period". I am truly sorry that your experience at our breakfast did not meet all your expectations. Indeed, eggs, bacon, and sausage are not placed on the buffet anymore but are available by ordering them directly from our waiters, so they are freshly prepared for you.  There is no supplement for this service if you have breakfast included. Be assured that we will not miss the opportunity to share your observations with our teams in order to improve our service continually  Once again, thank you very much for your constructive feedback and hoping to have the opportunity to welcome you back soon. Kindest regards, Mr. Jan NIELSEN Managing Director

Lovely hotel with a fabulous location. You are right off the Grand Palace Market Square and walkable to almost all major Brussels destinations. It is also very central to restaurants and night life. The hotel was very helpful with restaurant and tour recommendations. If you are visiting the city for the first time and trying to see a lot and get around easily I would highly recommend. It’s also a lovely hotel in this fabulous location! We stayed in a jr suite and it was huge!!! Unfortunately i forgot to take more photos of the room but it was very spacious. It had a sitting area with couch and chair, a desk area near the bathroom ( have a picture of that) and a huge bathroom. We got a 3 night deal with the 3rd night free. It was during the summer, which i would imagine would be their peak season but we did book 8 months out at least. The room had a lovely fruit basket for us! We added on the breakfast because I’m a big breakfast person and it was delicious. Full European style breakfast with tons of break and amazing coffee service. I would definitely visit another Rocco property, as the room, service and location were all incredible!

Beautiful hotel (amazing aroma as you enter!); Tastefully decorated throughout; Gorgeous, spotlessly clean bedroom (although on the small side); Extremely professional and friendly staff; Superb concierge and doormen (couldn't be more helpful - including rushing outside with an umbrella when we arrived in the pouring rain); Fantastic location; Highly recommend!

Dear Jane P., Thank you for taking the time to share your comments following your experience at Hotel Amigo. We are delighted that you fully enjoyed your stay with us and I will not miss to share it with our teams, especially our wonderful Conciergerie. The hotel was decorated by Mrs. Olga Polizzi, the sister of Sir Rocco Forte. She always draws on local style and materials to create an authentic atmosphere in each of our hotels. You well noticed our bespoke perfume made exclusively for our establishement by the perfumery "L'Antichambre". Thank you for appreciating these details that make Hotel Amigo so charming. Looking forward to welcome you back, Kindest regards, Mr Jan NIELSEN General Manager
