Beautiful hotel (amazing aroma as you enter!); Tastefully decorated throughout; Gorgeous, spotlessly clean bedroom (although on the small side); Extremely professional and friendly staff; Superb concierge and doormen (couldn't be more helpful - including rushing outside with an umbrella when we arrived in the pouring rain); Fantastic location; Highly recommend!
Very comfortable boutique hotel. Rooms are clean . Food is very tasty . but the most i liked redemptionists☺️ they are very pleasant ! They gave us rooms numbers very early🥰!! We would stay here again and again . Best hotel in Brussels☺️☺️......
Excellent hotel. Excellent service. Friendly. Helpful. Amazing. Central location. The bar/tea room cozy and inviting. Rooms clean and well tended. Comfortable bed. The restaurant very good. Good value.
We stayed 3 nights, and cannot say enough good things about the service, attention to detail, great location. Truly professionals working here, especially at front door, front desk and concierge. The only downside to hotel, is if you get on the back side of hotel - several very loud and late night bars. So definitely ask for higher floors and not on back side of hotel.
Lovely hotel Perfect location and the reception staff and concierge team are amazing. Our breakfast on the first day was very poor service until Mia sorted things out. She really is amazing - her desire to give excellent customer experience makes up for the lack of good service from her colleagues in the restaurant. Whilst her restaurant colleagues seemed incapable of taking an order for food and drinks (we waited over 30 minutes for anyone to ask if we would like hot drinks with breakfast and to take a food order )Mia made up for it with her service, wit and practical approach. She is a real asset to the hotel restaurant team and it’s a shame her colleagues there don’t have her passion for good customer service
Decided to stay here for a long weekend of three nights, after losing a much loved parent. Needed a short break and some quiet time and remembered this had once been an amazing hotel. I emailed Reception in advance explaining I needed a quiet room away from lifts, noisy couples, babies etc. but when we arrived the room Camille on Reception showed me was at the end of the corridor (great!) but TINY. It was meant to be a Deluxe Room but I think if wax the lowest class, as we booked a package deal with Eurostar. I called down to Camille and said it was way too small and Camille then showed us two other rooms. The first was much bigger, but was very close to the noisy market Square but the second one smelt terribly of ‘damp’. After agreeing to move into the Superior Deluxe and having been asked for an additional 80 Euros per night (!) we slept there the first night and literally got three hours sleep. Cars tooting, people chatting, motor bikes reviving, music, all the noises you don’t want at 2am… 3am…. 4am…,, I woke up tired and teary and after 10 days of sadness, It was too much. I asked Camille if we could move, apologising profusely only to be told there was not one room left in the hotel for me to move to. I was told rooms were either being renovated, or bizarrely everyone had ‘checked in’ for the Saturday night already that day. This was at 11.30am, we all know not everyone checks in that early. We ended up in the noisy room, and all for an additional 240 Euros. A lot for 3 hours sleep per night. The disappointing thing is that Camille knew my father had passed away ten days ago and I felt she couldn’t really be bothered to help or make anything work for me. There wasn’t even a welcome card from the hotel waiting for us, now I come to think of it. I’m surprised that Rocco Forte could allow guests to leave his hotels (akin to his home) feeling so deflated and dissatisfied. We are also LHW members. I know for certain that Browns in London would not have treated a guest like that, especially one who specifically stayed for some rest and quiet reflection. Avoid.…
We checked into Hotel Amigo, Brussel recommended by American Express. I was flabbergasted that they chose such an establishment with décor that was as dated as the ambiguity of its hotel namesake. We were a bit disappointed but we gave the place the benefit of the doubt. We were delighted we did. What makes this hotel stand out is the Head Concierge of 35 years veteran by the name of Haluk Sahin. He is the likes of Monsieur Gustave H of the famed concierge of the 2014 film by Wes Anderson titled The Grand Hotel Budapest. Like Gustave H, Haluk is the main attraction. So much so that I found myself loitering around the lobby; spying and listening to him going about his duties. There is a proper air about him that fascinates me no end; such old-fashioned ways of charm and charisma who is meticulous in his work and executes his job with finesse. He spoke eloquent English, is quite cultured and well informed of the art scene. He advised us on top places to dine and best sights to see; even provided us with complimentary tickets to the Palace that were otherwise sold out during our time of visit. Haluk is the beating heart and soul of this establishment. I would recommend this hotel simply for the chance to experience the service of this last remaining legendary concierge that truly represents the gold standard of concierges.…
The Amigo is a wonderful hotel. Professional staff that were very friendly. Our suite was very nice although the bathroom was very small. The one negative was the restaurant in the hotel. The dinner we had was very expensive and very fair. The staff at the restaurant were a bit arrogant. Breakfast was fine. All in a nice stay.
Location = perfect! Service = outstanding! Value for money = off the hook! Basically, this is a true keeper for my husband and I... And we've been to quite a few very good hotels! One of the spotlights which I wish to share is the discretion of this hotel... One has to go there to understand what I'm talking about! ;)
Staff friendly and accommodating! The hotel needs some updating! Their was also random ladder in one of our rooms . The restaurant attached was expensive but the food was good and the staff were inviting! The location was great, in the heart of everything !
