The price was high compared to the standard. 42 euros for a 4 people dorm in a tiny room. The bathroom did not have soap, very bad for the hygienic situation if people are not able to clean hands after going to the bathroom. Very creaky wooden flooring are sure to wake the whole room up if someone is carefully walking by at night in the room or in the hallway. A lot of party sounds from the street can be heard very clearly in the room late at night. The reception does not have ear plugs. I would have payed a lot for those to get a bit of sleep, so my next day isn't ruined. They don't have it. I got almost no sleep that night. The lobby is small and narrow. As far as I can tell, no real common area, a normal feature in a hostel. Storing luggage for 1 hour (as a paying customer) costs 3 euro extra. Exploitative uncommon practice! Any person could walk up to the front desk, ask for the luggage key (for free) and take whatever they want from the luggage room.

We stayed for one night in a 4-bed-dormitory. The position is great because it allows to visit the city center without taking public transportation, however during the day and especially at night it's very noisy outside, so we recommend bringing earplugs. Since it was July, the room was extremely hot and I woke up because I couldn't breathe since there are no fans in the room. I couldn't open the window because it was too noisy outside. Each bed had a curtain, which came handy to have privacy. The bathroom in the room was clean, but of course it depends on your roommates as well, and there were no problems. The moquette on the floor made the room look dirty since we doubt it has ever been cleaned throughly. The sheets were clean. We didn't appreciate that leaving your luggage in the luggage room before the check-in costed €3 (for each luggage).

Bathroom-flimsy hook for a lock. Curtains don't cover the windows securely. We were not informed that it was a mixed room. Receptionist-disrespectful. No Refund. I have a lot to complain. NEVER AGAIN.

I booked a bed in a dorm with 6 beds, and the bed and level of privacy was ok. However, the dorms are quite small for housing 6 people, and with only one window it gets very warm, stuffy and uncomfortable. Furthermore, I was very disappointed with the bathroom/toilet, firstly because it is not separated from each other, which would be more comfortable given that 6 people have to share it, and there seemed to be no accessible toilets in the halls of the hostel. Moreover, the bathroom was not very clean, and there was no way to dry your hands or yourself, as there was no paper, and towels for example were not offered. Lastly, I'd like to mention the conditions of luggage storage, which appeared rather irresponsible, as there were no specific storage room, which could be locked up, consequently leaving all luggage to just be stored in a corner next to the staircase.

Rooms (dormitories) are very small, poorly ventilated and badly insulated. The staff is not welcoming and not helpful. Very bad experience. For one night, that could be ok ...... but if you want to stay longer, i strongly advise against it!

I stayed in this hostel for 3 nights with my friends. The hostel is located right in the city center, which is probably the biggest advantage of this Hotel. Great location for seeing almost all the sights in Brussels. The staff is nice and helpful. The room was small but clean. We had a room for 4 people with two bunk beds that could be covered, so you had a sense of privacy. We had a bathroom in the room. The bathroom was also clean and nice. Every time we returned in the evening, the room was tidy. The only minus I give wifi, which did not work for me during almost my entire stay. Overall, I can rate my stay at Safestay Brussels very positively. The biggest plus I give a relatively low price depending on the location of the hotel. The only downside for me is the poor internet connection.

I stayed one night at Safestay about a month ago. Not too clean, but adress couldn't be better and bunk bed and room was okay. In the morning I unfortunately forgot some vital things, among all my home keys! When I discovered it, I was too far away but immidiately started calling the place - and that I continued doing the next weeks. Morning, day and night - never once did they answer! I also wrote them - one standard answer, promising to check and not a word since then. Finally - after a month or so - I have got through on a very special mail my booking service helped me to - else I probably never would have succeded. But by now they can't find trace of my things. A month later? I believe so! Maybe they should just look under the bed ... Forget about trying to contact that place and don't ever forget your stuff there!

Safestay is a ho(s)tel in the center of Brussels. An excellent location for seeing all the sights. The single room had a bunk bed with a flat screen TV and a tilt window. The shower was basic, but good. Not quite clean. The check-in is simple and fast and can even be done digitally. The price is absolutely great and for a weekend in Brussels with 1/2 nights, this is an excellent choice.

First of all, it's right in the city center, a 5 minute walk from Grand-Place and next to some shopping and bars streets, as well as a metro-bus-train hub. And despite all of this, the rooms, even the ones facing the bars and restaurants, were not really noisy. I spend a night in a single room, which was big enough for one person, and a couple more nights in a 4-bed dorm, sharing with other travelers. The place is nice and clean, of course it's not very big, but the beds are comfy enough and there's enough room in the lockers for a backpack or a medium sized suitcase. The staff was helpful and nice (they dealt with my improvable French which I insisted using, despite most of them speaking a good English). There's also a baggage room which is not watched but it's really useful. To say something negative, there's a bunch of people in the rooms, so I had to wait a bit for checking in and out in a tiny reception, and the elevator was a bit slow and I had to wait for a while because apparently it was always busy. Anyway, it's a good place to crash for a week-end escapade, specially with those low fares!

It's a nice hostel, it's clean, there a big lockers, nice staff, a really nice bathroom and it's right in the heart of Brussels. Would recommend. It's a good walk to the Atomium from the hotels, that the only "bad" thing, but hey, then you can see alot Of the city on the way. PS I didn't meet any angry receptionists
