Everything about this hotel is good, except a few small areas. Service is good throughout. The room we had was a weird shape. It had far too much furniture in it, so much so, it was difficult to manoeuvre around, especially for older people. The same problem with the shower in a bath, which is not good for anybody in my opinion. I believe they are converting rooms to shower only. Baths are okay if the are just that and the room has a shower as well. Recommend if you get a new room on first floor.

Stayed here for five nights. Rooms adequate although the towels were tiny. Staff very friendly and helpful with restaurant bookings and taxis etc. Only downside was that the rooms were inadequately serviced each day - for example dirty cups were left and not replaced, toiletries not sufficient, bedding just left cast around, Coffee not replenished etc Disappointing as rooms were nice. The restaurant in the hotel was good and we had a lovely meal there one night. The outside bar area was closed for some reason which was a shame as the weather was lovely. If the room servicing was better, I would certainly rate higher.

We had seen the pictures of the hotel and the restaurant and it really looked stunning. If the restaurant room looks in fact quite nice, the hotel rooms could definitely do with some update. The website boasts that the place went through a renovation twenty years ago, it shows and it is time for a new one, specifically the bathrooms. There is also room for improvement in the organization: the covid-related safe paths were confusing and unclear, various staff members gave us contradictory information with regards to the facilities, the dinner was good but our desserts came incomplete without warning or apology (we made a comment and were just told that they ran out of the missing items). While we were eating, we could hear the telephone ringing endlessly at the nearby reception desk. All in all, not too bad a place but definitely not up to the image they sell.

We stayed 5 nights at Martins and the hotel from the outside looks very cozy. the room 235 was spacious and clean, but very dark, cold and the fourniture design look old and on update . The bathroom give you all you need include a nice jacuzzi to relax by the end of the day. the fitness feel like a small room that you put together with some fiew training materiel just to say that they have a fitness. Wonder what they will do if 5 peoples go in the same time in... Big minus is the breakfast buffet! same boring food everyday, scramble eggs, mushroom, potatoes croquettes, some cold cuts and yoghurt. a mix fruits from tin can and croissant.when you stay for a few days you would like some variety. The staff was not very welcoming and did not care if you was there or not. only at the reception you can find some who knows what hospitality business is. We believe that is a bit sad because the hotel have great potentiel.

I had some unique needs during my stay... printing PDF documents, calling taxis (and fare being put on my room bill), special dinner service to my room, and a couple other things. I would have had a difficult time with the staff's friendly service. Thank you!

Very nice hotel, well located (closed to many visiting spots in Walloon Brabant). Friendly welcome. The measures (signage, marking, hydro-alcoholic gel, mask, etc.) are established against covid-19. The room was clean, calm and pleasant. Parking is easy. We spent a great time there. Breakfast was unfortunately a downside. The three people are totally dedicated but overwhelmed. The choice was quite reduced and there was a regular lack of replenishment. What is offered is not worth the asking price.

Martin’s Grand Hotel in Waterloo is a former industrial site, it was originally a sugar refinery. The hotel is next to ‘l’Ancienne Sucrerie’ business centre. We stayed in 3 different hotels of this small chain of hotels and they are all very comfortable and luxurious. Breakfast is superbe and there is a private parkinglot and a restaurant. We stayed in a "charming room" wich is the standard room. Nearby you can visit The battle of Waterloo and the ruins of the Abbey of Villers.

Stayed only one night on business and location chosen as close to where the business is. While not the most elegant or upscale is it serviceable with good people, nicely appointed room, and good service. Would go again if in the neighborhood

I had not stayed at this hotel for a few years as previously the rooms were quite average. I'm pleased to say that the room I stayed in had been refurbished and was very good, especially the bathroom. Bed was firm with a good duvet and I slept well. Soundproofing isn't good, so you will hear people speaking as they walk down the corridor outside your room.
