This is an amazing hotel! It's in the center of Mechelen, a short walk from the Vismarkt, the Cathedral and the Grote Markt, and about a 15 min walk from the train station. The staff are fantastic and there are very good COVID measures in place. The hotel is an old converted church, and the architecture is fabulous! We were lucky to get upgraded to the "Best of Home" suite (thank you!) where you can really appreciate the architecture of the old church and the beautiful stained glass windows. It was a well-designed and decorated room with a super-comfortable bed. Also a coffee-maker, fridge and safe for valuables. Good breakfast in the atrium of the old church. Breakfast slots of 1 hour are booked at check-in to make sure there is no overcrowding. We were offered a glass of sparkling wine on arriving! COVID means that there are some limitations, but there were still portions of smoked salmon and cheese, a nice range of bread and pastries, and some hot food. There is also a nice bar if you want to enjoy a drink in the evening. Definitely a fabulous hotel and would love to come back.

We booked an Exceptional room in the church (Bongo bon). Breakfast and a bottle of champagne was included. The room was faboulus, In the comfortable sitting area was a smal glass tainted window, and in the bedroom was a very big glass tainted window. The champagne was top quality. This hotel is highly corona prove. Everywere you could find desinfection gels, all staff was wearing masks and the reception was protected with plastic screens. In the whole hotel you have to wear a mask. Also at breakfast the hotel took very good corona precautions. We never felt unsave. Staff was very friendly and helpfull. This hotel is highly recommended.
