The room was faboulus, In the comfortable sitting area was a smal glass tainted window, and in the bedroom was a very big glass tainted window. The champagne was top quality. This hotel is highly corona prove. Everywere you could find desinfection gels, all staff was wearing masks and the reception was protected with plastic screens. In the whole hotel you have to wear a mask. Also at breakfast the hotel took very good corona precautions. We never felt unsave. Staff was very friendly and helpfull. This hotel is highly recommended.This is such a nice comment to receive, thank you!! It's great to read that you found the room fabulous and liked our champagne! Our intention is to follow the 'corona' rules in a non-intrusive way. Our priority is that our guests feel safe, but most of all not have to worry about the virus. What a wonderful mix between ancient and modern. On top the location is perfect, close by the center, but we had a very quiet room, without any noise.Thank you so much for your lovely feedback! When we arrived, a parking spot was reserved in our name and that made us feel special straight away. The staff was very helpful and and customer oriented. The room was 'flabbergastingly' beautiful (we had the fanciest one, in the highest point of the church.) But the best thing about our stay was definitely the bed! The trigger for reserving rooms at Martin's Patershof was.... "Strange.... a hotel in a church?" We (my daughter and myself) are not disappointed. How surprising to sleep right under the cross rib vault of a church! How surprising to open a part of a stained glass window to allow outside air to enter. How surprising to eat "our daily bread" in the spot where in sacred times the body of Christ was shared. In short, an experience to be recommended.

Fantastic hotel, very friendly staff and a great breakfast! Staff also helpful by phone when I called for upgrading the room. Also a nice city to visit, wonderful restaurants and bars nearby at walking distance.

Oh this place is pretty special. Beautiful, tactile curves making the arches supporting the immense church roof, stunning stained glass windows, and a sympathetic (without being themed) conversion to the hotel make this an awesome stay. Comfortable, and just lovely.

It was a great stay. Beautiful building, spatious room, nice bath, great breakfast with a lot of choice and the location is perfect. In less than 5 minutes you're in the center of the city. The staff was very friendly. One of the best hotels we've ever stayed.

We had the most lovely time in the hotel. I had received a gift to stay there and it more than lived up to our expectations of being a quirky, special hotel. Breakfast was excellent. The very best though was the night barman (16/6) who is French and he made us really welcome and we loved chatting with him.

Martin’s Patershof is situated in an old church right in the centre of Mechelen. Allthough you are at walking distance to the bars and restaurants, the hotel itself is very quiet. The rooms are clean, the staff is very friendly and helpfull. Breakfast is excellent. We stayed in Mechelen for the sixth time and every time we keep going back to Martin’s Patershof.

Beautifully adapted former church. Excellent reception staff. Lovely room with a fridge and a safe. Quiet. We didn’t hear a sound. Good AC and very fast WiFi. The lady who checked us in recommended Het Anker brewery. They have the full range of Gouden Carolus beers and the steak was one of the best ever. We would definitely return to this hotel.
