The hotel has clearly spent a lot of time and effort on the reception area so they can take photos and make it look like a nice hotel. Unfortunately our room was poor. Walls are paper thin, meaning we were woken up through the night and in the morning. The worst bit of the room was the bathroom which was...

Stayed in both rooms 9 and 6 for reasons not relevant to the review. Room 6 small and cold Room 9 spacious warm and lovely. Breakfast was a buffet but nice and location really central. No parking but big car park nearby. My advice- be clear you want a large room and then you should be ok.

I'd really love to find a nice Antwerp hotel at an affordable price, but I'm sorry to say this isn't it. The staff is fine, the central location is ideal, and I think this was trying to be a really hip place when it opened, but it hasn't been maintained well and doesn't live up to its promise. Our "deluxe...

There's no parking at the hotel but there is nearby and so you need to walk to get there as its in a pedestrian precinct but its cool because you will be in the heart of the beautiful magical city of Antwerp. No problem for us but to reach the first floor you need to negotiate a steep spiral staircase...

This was our first visit to a "boutique" hotel and, overall, could be deemed a success. On arrival we received an up-grade although this didn't altogether work to our advantage. We'd exchanged a small room overlooking the courtyard to a slightly larger one with a street view. Seemed an excellent exchange until we realised just what a party town Antwerp...

We stayed 2 nights and really enjoyed out stay at Hotel Matelote. The location is excellent, just a 1 minute walk to the main square (Groenplaats?), with a huge amount of bars and restaurants in the area. The staff were excellent; very friendly and offered many details of things to see and do, and places to eat. They even offered...

Antwerp is delightful. And I don't have much to complain about this hotel. It's modern, affordable, convinenient and located in a desirable area. 2 mins to Grote Markt and about 5 to the Scheldt. Easy access from/ to the Central Station. Good bed but pillows need replacing. Large shower area which I really appreciate. The lobby is lovely. Very helpful...

This is a renovated old house in the old center of Antwerp, near the Cathedral, but far from the central train station. The reception was very polite and helpful and the recommendations were worth trying. The room was spacious and clean. We enjoyed the stay there.

4 of us stayed here for 2 nights as part of a short cycle tour of Belgium. Our welcome was very friendly and the girl on reception had given us a room upgrade which was nice and unexpected. We were also given a complimentary welcome drink(beer or sparkling wine) This was in fact the only time we received this in...

Nice place, 2 min walk from the historical center and the main square, not far from the river. Only 11 rooms are and each is designed in its own style. Breakfasts are ok, the service is good and the price is fair. Most likely will stay again next year.
