I really enjoyed my stay at AB hostel! As soon as I walked in I felt comfortable, and the staff only helped to make me feel even more at home! The layout of the hostel is such that it is really easy to meet other travellers, so it's easy to make friends there. The rooms are clean and comfortable, the... More

This hostel was very welcoming and had a really good vibe. It felt homely and the atmosphere was great everyone was super friendly. I believe some of the staff were on a work exchange 'workaway' which I think brings a really cool new dimension to a place, Iv also done this in various places myself and everyone learns a lot... Bridget and Greg run this hostel with a lot of love. It is very easily and quickly reached from central station. Inside the house there are several nice rooms from double bedrooms to dorms of 14. Therefore prices vary. They have a lovely bar and kitchen area. At nighttime it seems that all the visitors come together to exchange their... More

The abhostel is a 15 min walk from the main station and 25 min walk from the old town in a quiet side street. When you arrive you are greeted with a big smile, staff there is amazing. They give you two maps of Antwerpen - one written by youn locals and one about the surroundings of the hostel. Very... More

After travelling for quite a few months now this hostel is still in my top 3! It's made for backpackers! what can I say? Pancake or egg breakfast (added addiction to speculoos), communal dinners, cheap beer, hammocks, movie corner, board games and the friendliest, happiest most helpful staff in the world. made friends for life at this place. I will... More

The location is not perfect but good enough - a 30 minutes walk to the old town, but there is a tram almost right outside that takes you to the centre in almost no time. It is also located in what seemed to be an Arabic part of Antwerp, so most of restaurants and stores nearby are halal. Bathrooms are... More

Good location (3 mins from tram stop--both 10 & 24 stop right at Centraal Station), lovely hosts, free breakfast (with eggs!!!! & cookie butter!!!!), happy hour, and an amazing staff. Ended up extending my 4 night stay to 6 nights even though I was done seeing Antwerp in 3 days. If the staff is reading this...HIIII I miss you all... More

Wow what a little gem! I stayed at AB for 3 nights and had such a great time. The facilities and common areas are top rate as are the staff. In particular I loved enjoying a nice Belgian beer in the garden during happy hour. Super place to meet other travellers! Great value for money , would highly recommend..... Thanks... More

the hostel was very well organized with a common breakfast and a kitchen made available, the showers were hot and bathrooms clean enough. But our room, the No. 3 was in front of the common area where the person spent talking from morning to night, the music on the radio was switched on from 9 am to 8 pm, washing... More

The 10 beds room was large and clean, but honestly you'll probably spend most of your time in the great common room or in the patio. Great facilities, very friendly staff (mostly backpackers that loved the place and stayed for some time) and good atmosphere. What else can you ask from a hostel?

“The towels are a tad on the small side, if you cannot live with that bring your own. They're free for the smaller rooms, but you need to rent them for €2,- (or buy for €4,-) in the dorm room.”

“The mixed 5 bed dorm is the closest to the common area. It was pretty quiet, but it's potentially the most noisy one if there's something going on in the common area during the night.”

“The 10 person dorm with an ensuite is brand new and comfortable, but the showers are downstairs. The 5 person dorm is cosy and quirky. Both nice and quiet (although the 10 person dorm is next to the terrace which can be a little noisy at night)”
