Very friendly and competent staff. Great rooms splendid breakfast We stayed in April for a night where there was still a bit of covid regulations. They make it hassle free and almost like there's no covid (without skipping all the safety requirements). You will feel at home here.

The hotel is clean and the personnel is very helpful and nice. It is ideally located close to the old town center. You can walk from the train station but they also have a (paying) parking. All covid rules are respected even for the breakfast served in the room. Wonderful dinner can also be organised in the room (with real plates and glasses ; not plastic).

From the moment I stepped onto the gleaming marble floor, the hotelier, Ms Sandy warmly welcomed me into the gloriously restored former residence where the first bananas exported to Antwerpen was welcomed from their long arduous journey a century ago. The sweeping staircase curved up to a warm timbered floor bedroom, stepping out onto a stupendously grand verandah. Onto the crisply made linen bed I threw myself. The calmly decorated room working its magic on my weary cold Sunday evening travellers’ soul. It was the perfect haven to escape into from the madness of journeying during the second round of Covid restrictions. Later, sat in the dining room with its magnificent antique beams, the hotelier and her team cheerfully served hearty home-cooking, including piquant Tacchino Tonnato and a huge piece of pie even Dickens would had traded his soul for. Refreshed from a warm shower and a freshly brewed espresso, I most reluctantly took my leave the following morning from Hotel 't Sandt. Stepping into the icy 2C wintery Monday morning cold, the warm Hotel 't Sandt experience shovelled heaps of hot coal heat into my shivering soul. A memorable stay with a fine and hardworking hotelier.

A friend and I were cycling through Belgium and spent a night at Hotel 't Sandt in Antwerp. The location is amazing, close to the Museum aan de Strom, Brabo's monument, and some of the best restaurants in the city. (Get a reservation for wild project, even if you aren't vegan it's incredible, and it's just around the corner.) The building itself has tremendous character, from the wood floors in the hallway, to the unique and comfortable rooms, and the lovely garden in the center where we ate an amazing breakfast with fresh fruit, baked goods, eggs, cheeses, smoked salmon, and prosciutto. The room was immaculate and comfortable. Every staff member we interacted with was friendly and welcoming. The owners offered us a safe place to store our bicycles in the parking garage. I would recommend this hotel to friends, and I will definitely stay there again on an overnight trip to Antwerp.
