We had a nice stay at the Scheldezicht. This old home is nicely arranged and right in the centre, 2 minutes away from main city attractions. You can enjoy breakfast with view on a small place. We had a room in the roof which was really cute and clean! The personal is friendly and I really appreciate they accept dogs... More

Let's start with the only good side: it is centrally located and very close to a free parking lot. And that's it. What I usually look for in a hotel, this one does not have. Cleanliness, no. Friendly staff, no. Good maintenance, not at all. Try to ask something to the lady at the reception. She looks at you like... More

Stayed at Hotel Scheldezicht in Antwerp this year for annual lads trip away. Not our usual type of hotel but the price usually dictates where we stay. The hotel is in a fantastic location for exploiting Antwerp and I think we did it all, from sightseeing to the sampling of many of the local beers It's basic with a shared... More

We booked as a family of 5 and had to confirm cost for an extra bed at booking. At arrival, we were told by the very unfriendly receptionist that the room was too small for 5 and that the extra bed was not reconfirmed by the hotel. Nevertheless they had not bothered to communicate that to us before we arrived... More

Although the Dutch Calvinist Republic scandalously blocked the entrance of Antwerp’s port during the Spanish and Austrian rule until the rise of Napoleon, the flamboyant city located at a strategic bend of the Scheldt river always kept on looking at the bright side of life, just like it did in the heydays of the Burgundian dukes of the 15th and... For us as a family (M and D 13yrold daughter) and with only 2 nights we needed something central and tidy. We don't go in for décor, or the ambiance, or chic clientele, or majestic views (our room did overlook a small square, however) but loved the breakfast and its 5min walk to the Grote Markt along a pleasant, practical... Hotel is situated in a square close to the coach station - ideal if arriving by Megabus. Room was clean and tidy - however mine was on the top floor - up a lot of narrow stairs with a dirty carpet - difficult if you have suitcases. Buffet breakfast was fine. Good location close to the centre - ok for... More

Everything as expected. Nice and tidy rooms. Breakfast was ok. Perfectly located in the center with a huge variaty of restaurants and bars around . Free parking lots near the hotel. The only fly in the oinment was that the rooms are clairaudient.

I stayed in this hotel for New Years Eve at Antwerp in Dec. 2015. The only downside that I can think is no power outlet next to the bed, which is the dumbest complain, the hotel is magnificent, although I had asked for a double bed and got two singles. Cozy rooms in old style, second floor, an old fireplace... More

We stayed at Hotel Schedezicht for one night, ours room was on second floor, the stairs quite narrow but managed to climb up and down , the room was very cosy nice and clean. At the back of the building is home care for elderly so it was so quiet. The town just 5 minutes walked and plenty of restaurants... More
