I spent one night here on a business trip, I had a very large room on the first floor which gave onto a dark interior courtyard, I believe rooms higher up have better and more cheerful views. The room was perfectly comfortable but everything was brown and rather sad looking. The breakfast is OK, but I was cold. However there wasn't any hot water in the morning which was not fun, I did see say this to the front desk. Wifi worked well.
Great Hotel with normally excellent facilities. Slightly confusing elevator system but that was probably because we used the underground parking. Only disappointment was the pool being closed.. Room was roomy and fine TV lacks international channels. Would certainly recommend this hotel, you are based right in the Centre of Antwerp with great restaurants and entertainment.
The hotel is ok but definitely not worth the price and the 4 starts are only on the name. They told me on the phone that the parking was included but when I got the invoice at the checkout they said that they never include the parking so that they would be charging me 20 euro per night and they said that they would not change it unless I had it on writing by email, meaning that I should not trust them on the phone. SCAMMERS! I got that money back from my insurance since I had the phone call recorded. Besides that, the room is tiny, the pillows caused me a horrible neck pain and the water doesn't really get warm enough for a decent shower. The pool is indeed too cold for chilling (I confirm what other reviewers say) and too small for swimming, also very annoying since they allow rednecks and their children to scream, jump and splash so not relaxing at all. They also tried to charge me for every single day even though we only used it twice, so another SCAM attempt failed. DO NOT TAKE THE BREAKFAST: It is basic and very low quality so for 20 euro you can have a wonderful breakfast elsewhere. (DO NOT TAKE THE BREAKFAST, trust me) Besides all that, the people are reception are rude and careless so I hope you don't need them. Note for the hotel: Enjoy those 60 euros for the parking, I got them back and you got yourself this detailed review. Let me know if you want the phone recording so you can fire that receptionist.…
Even 0* would be to much for this hotel. Worst & most nastiest hotel I've ever been to!! The smell in the corridor and room is terrible!!! Very old hotel. Rooms are very outdated.Nasty bath and broken tiles on the bathroom floor. Beautiful room pictures on the website but its not even close to reality. Do not fall for that! Not possible to reach the management. After weeks still no answer on my email. Not worth your money! We checked out on the same day.( No refund no compensation no sorry nothing) For a cheaper price we stayed in a junior suite at the Raddion Blue hotel just around the corner. I would recommend everybody to stay at Raddison Blue Astrid if you want worth your money.
I stayed one night at the hotel. The check in and check out took a long time. The room was good with a double bed, a desk and a couple of armchairs. The bed and the pillows were comfortable and I slept very well. There was some smell in the bathroom and the floor drain made strange sounds after I showered. The breakfast was good but expensive, 20 Euro.
Stayed here for 2 night and it’s beautiful location walking distance to train station beautiful amenities lovely spa and pool staffs very helpful and polite lounge very beautiful and really relaxing. Not far from diamonds shops and cinema you are home away from home really recommend
we had an amazing stay and awesome time. The ambience and the quality is great.the station is 2 min walking. staff is helpful. I slept here for 2 nights and the beds were also comfortable and i cud sleep peacefully.
Was locked out of our room for over an hour (in our wet bathing suits nonetheless) and had to sleep in a room that had no heat on Christmas Day. Not to mention waiting around for maintenance for both the lock and the heater. Was finally moved the next day. Was initially offered €25 euros for the inconvenience. Terrible experience for our family with small children.
A comfortable stay at this hotel that does feel like a high-quality establishment. Comfortable room and desk, opening windows and a good quality bathroom with large walk in shower. There were a few issues worth noting: NB there is construction of a high-rise taking place a stone’s throw from here and even with the windows closed at 07.30 the pneumatic drills will not allow you to sleep beyond that time. The breakfast is very poor indeed. Solid scrambled eggs and a rather sorry selection of lukewarm food. Tea and coffee machine struggling to keep up. One of the least appetising offerings I have seen. This really needs to be improved. Pool and spa. Very good area but why close between 10am and 5pm? A waste of resources. This could be really good as there is a small (but hot) sauna and a steam room. It seems a little under-maintained here and also a bonkers management idea is to keep the keys for the lockers at reception (something I found out only once my clothes were off). Come on management...you are not thinking straight!! Instead of trying to save minute amounts of money, why don’t you try to improve you guests’ experience? If this hotel had an upgrade of bed quality, Greatly improved breakfast and spa cared for and open all day, the quality of this hotel would be very much higher. …
I slept here 2 nights only while on business trip, the hotel is nicely located in the center, 2 minutes walk from the train station. The room was clean and modern, well insulated from other room and from outside. Breakfast was nice and abundant, only one staff running line hell try to help everyone. I visited the gym, and I have to say that it can be improved, it's in the basement, it's hot and very few obsolete machines, not a friendly environment. Overall it's a nice hotel and I can reccomend it if in Antwerp.
