Maison Emile, This Boutique hotel is run by a young guy Yannick, who gives you a very homelike feeling. The hotel is small but doesn't lack any service you might need. Very nice breakfast and a great shower. It's clean and it's right next to the tram which is very comfortable. The low price doesn't correlates with the level of service. I'll get back here in my next business trips.

Dear N, Thank you for reviewing your stay in our Boutique Hotel. And yes it is true, Maison Émile is a small hotel with 10 rooms. Just the way we like it, to offer our guests a good personalized service. We are so happy that you recognize our efforts to give you a feeling of being at home far away from your home. And of course that you enjoyed our extended breakfast buffet with local and international delights and freshly made eggs à la minute. Again, thank you very much for your very kind words and your marvelous scoring on TripAdvisor we really appreciate this and of course that motivates us to give every day the best of ourselves. See you soon back in Antwerp!

I stayed at Maison Emile for 2 nights. On arrival we were warmly welcomed. Not only were we given a summary of the hotel services, but we were provided with a detailed list of attractions and advice on where to eat and where to avoid, all plotted on a map. The hotel is small but nicely appointed. My room was small, but had everything I needed. . We only saw two members of staff, who may have been the proprietors during the whole visit, but the whole place seemed to run very efficiently, with a personal touch. The continental breakfast was served buffet style and was very nice. Eggs/omlettes were also available on request. The hotel operated an honesty bar. We had no trouble parking on the street outside the hotel. The area around the hotel is well provided with bars in restaurants and within walking distance of the town centre. There are also trams and buses.

Room Tip: I don't think it makes much difference. There wasn't much to see in November.

Dear Alan, Thank you for staying with us and reviewing your stay. We are very happy that you enjoyed your time in Antwerp and in the comfort of our boutique hotel. Because we are a small hotel with 10 rooms, we can make time for our guests and share our best tips to explore the city. Good to read that you enjoyed the Antwerp South quarter an early 20th century French quarter in the city with a lot of great bars and more than 200 good restaurants. We locals like to spend our free time there. Thank you so much for your very kind words regarding our hospitality and the way we try to create a nice home far from home for our guests. And yes we are a small team. We hope to see you back one day in Antwerp.

I can't believe I haven't gotten around to reviewing Maison Emile until now. Last September was my second time staying there. The first time was when the new owners took over and were transitioning from Hotel Industrie. Their hospitality during my first stay was enough to bring me back. Their location is close to Antwerp Zuid Station or a short walk from the tram stop if you're coming from Central Station. The area is a tram ride or a pleasant walk from Grote Markt and has plenty of cafes, restaurants and coffee shops. My last stay was in a single room. It was perfect for one person. Breakfast was excellent. I look forward to coming back home the next time I'm in Antwerp.

This hotel looked amazing on the web but it wasn’t so good in real. It feels more like a B&B than a hotel. There is no service and no common areas except from a few tables for breakfast which are right next to the reception table... The good points: Well located in a residential area and clean.

Dear Jovanka & friend, Thank you for reviewing your stay. And thank you for your compliment regarding the location of our Boutique Hotel and the cleaningness. Very important things in our opinion. Of course are we very disappointed in your feedback regarding our services and the hotel as such. All the pictures on the websites (like this one) are taken by us and by our guests and are a reflection of Maison Emile. Our lounge, honesty bar, library are all common parts for our guests. All our services like: concierge, laundry, wake-up, wi-fi, business facilities, honesty & ice-cream bar, catering, ... are services every hotel and boutique hotel offers. We kindly invite you to let us know where the differences are. The fact that you find us more a B&B instead of a hotel, honestly we consider this as a big compliment! This means we can give you all the attention and hospitality, to offer you a very personal hotel experience as a boutique hotel with 10 rooms. Of course we are not surprised with your feedback and review: our staff followed you in all your wishes and requests to give you a unique and personal experience. But we did not follow your requests in additional discounts and free services during your stay. Maybe this was key in your opinion.

Recently revamped small hotel. Garage parking nearby. Rather small room but very comfortable and suprisingly quiet consdiering how near it is to the ring road. Walking distance from city centre (about half an hour) or convenient tram. All queries/requests dealt with promptly.

Dear Guest, Thank you for visiting Maison Emile during your recent trip to Antwerp. We are very happy to read that you had a good experience in our boutique hotel and that you had a comfortable stay. And yes indeed, our hotel is situated in the hip and trendy South Quarter of the Antwerp city centre. The hotel is close to the ringway and easy accessible (nowadays very important in a city as Antwerp) but still quiet and peaceful in a late 19th early 20th century setting full of good bars, excellent restaurants, art galleries, etc. And by a short walk you are in the historical centre. Again, thank you very much for your kind words and your extraordinary scoring. Much appreciated! We hope to see you back one day in Antwerp.
