Maison Emile, This Boutique hotel is run by a young guy Yannick, who gives you a very homelike feeling. The hotel is small but doesn't lack any service you might need. Very nice breakfast and a great shower. It's clean and it's right next to the tram which is very comfortable. The low price doesn't correlates with the level of service. I'll get back here in my next business trips.
I stayed at Maison Emile for 2 nights. On arrival we were warmly welcomed. Not only were we given a summary of the hotel services, but we were provided with a detailed list of attractions and advice on where to eat and where to avoid, all plotted on a map. The hotel is small but nicely appointed. My room was small, but had everything I needed. . We only saw two members of staff, who may have been the proprietors during the whole visit, but the whole place seemed to run very efficiently, with a personal touch. The continental breakfast was served buffet style and was very nice. Eggs/omlettes were also available on request. The hotel operated an honesty bar. We had no trouble parking on the street outside the hotel. The area around the hotel is well provided with bars in restaurants and within walking distance of the town centre. There are also trams and buses.…
I can't believe I haven't gotten around to reviewing Maison Emile until now. Last September was my second time staying there. The first time was when the new owners took over and were transitioning from Hotel Industrie. Their hospitality during my first stay was enough to bring me back. Their location is close to Antwerp Zuid Station or a short walk from the tram stop if you're coming from Central Station. The area is a tram ride or a pleasant walk from Grote Markt and has plenty of cafes, restaurants and coffee shops. My last stay was in a single room. It was perfect for one person. Breakfast was excellent. I look forward to coming back home the next time I'm in Antwerp.
This hotel looked amazing on the web but it wasn’t so good in real. It feels more like a B&B than a hotel. There is no service and no common areas except from a few tables for breakfast which are right next to the reception table... The good points: Well located in a residential area and clean.
Recently revamped small hotel. Garage parking nearby. Rather small room but very comfortable and suprisingly quiet consdiering how near it is to the ring road. Walking distance from city centre (about half an hour) or convenient tram. All queries/requests dealt with promptly.
