Having visited The Hague for bussiness and stayed at this hotel for 2 nights. The room was clean, but the bathroom structures were quite worn out. But the hotel was enough adaquate to stay for bussiness. The breakfast was quite plain but the location of the hotel was close to seaside hence gave me the ability to wander around. Adviced for shorter visits, and have been satisfied...

Staff was amazing, service was excellent! Rooms not too big, but contains everything you need. Location close to the beach for a nice run after a long day of work. I would book this hotel again for the next time.

A nice hotel, well located and with fair prices. The hotel is run from the students of Hotel School the Hague. Everyone was helpful and courteous. Well done. I'd suggest the addition of a cafe / bar, as it was something missing. I will return for sure in the future.

We stayed here for participating in a conference. The hotel has 21 room only though it is a huge property because it also has a hotel management school. The rooms are sufficiently bigger in size, are clean and maintained daily. Our stay was excellent, except for a few glitches. The hotel still has an old styled tube type TV with a limited number of channels, but appreciably it has CNN. The breakfast area is small, for guests but another space is allocated to its students. They do not have a buffet type breakfast, rather a menu based. The trainees will serve you so you can expect 30-45 minute delay in servicing breakfast to you. On two consecutive mornings, I ordered boiled eggs, but I found out that these were just dipped in the hot water and you can imagine that when I broke these, it was a total mess in the plate and on the table. The second day also it happened but not as bad as the day before. The manager was called and he was profusely apologetic. That too happened after waiting for 30-40 minutes. In another incident, my colleague left 2 days before and she kept her luggage in the cloakroom, but I came and enquired about her baggage, the shift of the staff changed. The afternoon staff was neither informed by the person, nor he put any label on the luggage. It was a tense moment until the next day the concerned person came and I could identify the luggage. Otherwise, the hotel is just 10-12 minutes walking distance from the beach and market area.

Thank you for the feedback, we genuinely appreciate to hear your experience, as it allows us to develop, grow and improve. It is quite unfortunate to hear about service issues, therefore, we apologize and understand the inconvenience. On our end we allow students to practice and experience how real employees perform. It is inevitable to grow without mistakes. We hope to see you in the future.

Skotel is the hotel and residence for first-year students of the Hotelschool The Hague. A part of the building is setup to serve as a hotel so the students can experience running a hotel business at small scale. The hotel itself (the rooms that is) is OK as it has most, by far not all, things that regular hotels do. But what I would expect to be the most important here is supervision of the students on duty as only supervising will drive the learning and education. At the breakfast, the lack of supervision was obvious. As said, the first-year students also live there and can access the breakfast room. Here were students completely ignoring the guests and laughing out loud and making extreme noise. Nobody around to correct that. The guy who came to get my order and later to deliver it had no feeling for hospitality whatsoever. Simply dropping the food in front of me at the table. This is where a supervisor is simply a necessity. So this hotel is OK to stay at. The quality of the breakfast was average but that is OK too, given the fact that you are in a hotel where students need to learn. But due to the lack of supervision, the educational execution is really disappointing. If the service is not at the highest priority, what does this institution expect to deliver?

Dear Matth, Thank you for your review. Your feedback contains valuable information for our second year students to develop their management skills. At Hotelschool The Hague, we indeed train our students on service quality and we strive to offer service of high quality. All students go through a learning journey, whether they are in their first, second or third year. Due to this, it may always be a student's first day in their role and they may come accross as uncertain in their role. We understand your feedback and apologise for the unconvenience that occured during your breakfast. We hope to exceed your expectation during your next stay at Skotel The Hague. Thank you. Kind regards, Skotel The Hague team

The students really make you feel like you're in a 5-star hotel. I had only one small problem, my pillow was too hard. But everything else was perfect and the students help you with everything. I would recommend this place!

The room itself was newly renovated by van der Wouw. Standards of both room and breakfast exceeded expectations and the students working boosted independence and had a created welcoming ambiance by being very helpful and professional. However, the cleanliness for the room left room from improvement as both the windows and coffee stations had smudges. Overall very happy with Skotel the Hague and would recommend you to stay here.

The staff is friendly and the lobby is welcoming. The rooms are basic and somewhat outdated. The room I booked could have been cleaner, especially the bathroom exhaust fan. However, the most important thing for me was the location, which was great. It's a five minute walkto the beach and a ten minute walk away from one of my favourite restaurants in Scheveningen. All in all, an okay stay.

Skotel The Hague is part of the Hotelschool The Hague which is one of the leading educational institutions in hospitality management. This hotel is where student practice in real life. The hotel is equipped with standard and special rooms. I booked a special room for one night. Breakfast is included so at a price of €72,-- it is hard to beat anywhere else. Quality of both the room and breakfast is good and I like staying there and be the real world traveler the hotel hopes to attract and interact with the students at the front office.
