Detailed Reviews
+ Lovely welcoming by the reception, lovely upgrade on room free of charge, large room with all amenities and a view to die for. Very clean, nice beds everything you would expect from a top hotel.
-the restaurant and room service was a disappointment. But I am very picky about restaurants because I was in restaurant management for over 20 years.
The room service menu was limited so I decided to dine in the restaurant
Even though I had a very nice waitress, a young waiter was openly talking about diners and wasn't very friendly. I ordered a burger that was advertised as 100% beef but I have issues with a toasted bun( old bread?) and hamburger meat that tastes like sausage. Also, I ordered a lemon cheesecake and received a frozen mystery flavored disk.
Room service was also disappointing, I don't understand the concept of scrambled eggs in a bowl, the sausages were lukewarm and rubbery and a large basket of mini pastry and bread with one tiny croissant. And i have never ordered coffee on a room service menu and recieved a small cup of cappuccino. And for 18 Euros.
The restaurant and catering don't live up to the beauty of this hotel. But would stay again and dine outside of the hotel.

This is a PERFECT hotel for a nice vacation on the beach, with the bikes or just for easy hiking. It is very close to Den Haag easily reachable with public transport. The beach with a lot of restaurants (beachclubs) is just down the dunes. It couldn't be better!
And before I write more I have to say that I do not understand the bad reviews I read.
The employees are soooo friendly, always have a happy face and are always helpful. Special thanks to Kevin and Denny. The rooms are large, very nice and cozy, all have a balcony and a lot of stowage. The bathrooms are clean and big enough. Checkin was a little slow but not terrible. Breakfast was very nice even with the corona rules. By the way, intime they have special corona rules. The rooms are not serviced daily but on request. You can get fresh towls and so on at the reception. Parking is free of charge in the beach parkinglot or on the street. You can rent bikes for half or full days. They are old bikes but they work and it is so much fun to ride them. The exterior might be a little old, but who cares. You have the ocean in front if the window. We cannot say anything bad about the hotel. We had a wonderful time and thank the staff for the nice and safe vacation!!!!!

I have mixed feelings about our stay. For visiting the beach the location can’t be beat. However, off season the hotel is rather isolated and there really aren’t any amenities outside of the hotel that are within walking distance. The parking lot is rather run down as is the exterior of the building. The common areas are a bit dated as are the rooms…..there are no outlets near the beds. The bathroom was clearly updated with new fixtures and nice tub and separate shower but one sink didn’t drain and the other was very slow to drain. Staff were very responsive when the problem was reported but how did the cleaning staff not notice this earlier ? Maybe because they weren’t thorough ???? We found several discarded candy wrappers on the floor upon checking into the room. And speaking of checking in, we weren’t allowed to check in 45 minutes early and the reception area was mobbed at the start of the check in time. There were way too many people in the lobby and it didn’t feel safe.

A SCAM! Website advertised reservations for rooms for an extra charge that could be canceled within one day without penalty. Turns out in the fine print of the confirmation email that was changed to be 7 days. Ended up being charged full price for two days after we canceled. Extremely disappointing correspondence with the company. I would not recommend this hotel!

The view from our room was wonderful, overlooking straight onto the sea and hearing the waves from the balcony. The staff were very friendly and accommodating, helping us change room upon request, organize late check-out and organize last-minute dinner room service delivery (which was very nicely arranged & great food!). Highly recommend for a beach escape!

The hotel is located right on the sea, with a walking distances to many beach clubs. The staff is very friendly and helpful. Breakfast was good, and during the corona time they were really careful with arrangements and social distancing so it was well managed.
With that said, the hotel needs renovation! Rooms and bathrooms need total renovation. Pool area was not well maintained... and was not heated. In the afternoon it got really busy.
There is no airconditioning in the hotel. There is a ventilation system, which made the heat only a bit bearable, we went at a time when it was 32 degrees and it got really hot.

Coming back every year fro the last 8 year, see our 2017 review, with 2 year pandemic interruption, we had a marvellous week in Kijkduin. Situated on the dunes, with restaurants and a grocery shop in walking distance, this is a great location fro any time of the year. Food is highly recommended, too!

We stayed at the NH Atlantic for our anniversary and it was wonderful. We spent extra when making our reservations for a superior sea view...and what a view it was! The front desk is very specific and arrival time is at 3pm and will hold your bags until the room is ready. Room was very clean... A little dated but extremely nice. Due to unseen circumstances we needed to stay and extra day on a fully packed weekend. ZAKARIA and BOUCHRA were 5 stars by themselves and helped us get into a different room for a day. Both are very proud of where they work and so wonderful with customers. I appreciated that. Would definitely recommend NH Atlantic...and splurge on yourself for the superior sea room!

The room was not very clean, especially the bathroom/sink.
The hotel is not suitable for vegans or eco-travellers. It would have been nice to have houmous or other bread spreads, some bio products and less plastic packaging.
Even the toilet was not dual flush.
The hotel is surrounded by establishments that create noise & light pollution into the night. This is not the fault of the hotel, but they need to ask the Council to have at least the lights in the businesses turned off at night. Having to sleep with blackout curtains rather than seeing the sunrise and sea is quite disconcerting.
Positive points: near sea and dunes, good bus connections and cycling facilities around the hotel and to train stations.
