Lovely boutique place in the heart of hip and happening ‘Hof kwartier’, just minutes from Noordeinde Palace, the upscale shopping district of Hoogstraat, Noordeinde and Plaats, the ‘Buitenhof’ parliament complex, and the Mauritshuis Museum. Great places to eat and drink around the corner. Rooms are good-sized and furnished in style; so more cosy than all around efficient. Our room was at the back of the hotel, which is probably quieter than being on the lively Molenstraat (so it’s up to what you prefer). Staff is happy to help, but we visited in late June-early July, so there was no staff after five; a bit of a bother if you find out they forgot to replenish the coffee. A Nespresso machine would be more fitting in this kind of hotel. The hotel is still ‘starting back up’ after the lockdown, so no breakfast buffet (yet), and the staff is very willing to help to make the morning picknick basket to your liking. A walk-in shower to replace the shower in the tub would be a good upgrade, as would new carpeting or, better yet, wooden floors. The hotel has bicycles for rent and parking for cars. If you like style over efficiency, and old downtown over flashy suburb, this is a good bet.

The area is quiet justaway from the centre and the staff could not be more friendly and helpful. The only small niggle is that some areas are starting to look a bit tired - carpets in bedrooms marked etc. Small area to pick up and make this boutique Hotel a 5 star rating - it really is attention to detail. I have stayed here on business trips a few times and all rooms have the same small niggles.

We were one of only two guests here due to NL lockdown rules and arrived to learn all restaurants were closed. The owner was so kind to set up the dining room for us and directed us to a great takeaway. We dined in style with the lovely hotel to ourselves. Our room was large and nicely decorated and the location is on a pedestrian street with great shops, bars and restaurants (which are normally open). The best part was that our dog was welcome too and even got treats and a blanket to sleep on. It’s very rare to have a boutique hotel that accepts pets so we really appreciated that! Highly recommended!

Right in the city center this is a perfect location to explore Den Haag. Bring or rent a bike and you can easily go everywhere (including Scheveningen). Reception service is ok. I was especially happy with the breakfast service that provided for a glutenfree breakfast, including bread and cereals.
The room (of type Executive) was below expectation. The bed was the real dissappointment. It was way to soft and hurt my back, so I hardly slept. The bathroom was said to have floor heating but we haven't found it. Made tea in the room but it did not taste very good. Luckily we had no noisy neighbours, but be prepared to hear sounds of adjecent rooms and of the restaurant that is situated at the back of the hotel (closed at 23.00).

The staff in particular were excellent, offering tips on how to get the most out of our stay in The Hague and places of interest to visit. The location was perfect - close to everything we wanted to see yet quiet and not overtly touristy. Very clean facilities and comfortable bed!

The room was so comfortable - felt like home away from home. The mattress was excellent and the room was decorated very elegantly, yet it felt informal and cosy. The location was excellent - in the heart of the old town, yet very quiet. We also came by bicycle and the hotel was very accommodating in storing our bikes in a secure location.

ideally situated, close to all important attractions. short walk to binnenhof for example. lots of restaurants nearby.
very clean. large room, excellent bed. large bathroom.
personal is very friendly and kind.
because of corona, breakfast was served in picnic baskets. original solution.

breakfast as room service. great idea to avoid crowded breakfast rooms. one remark though. we both like cheese a lot, but having a sandwich with cheese four days in a row, is just that bit too much. some variation would have been very welcome. same goes for the boiled eggs which came every day as well. fruit and yoghurt were very good.

room was rather hot with sun on the windows most of the day. too heavy a task for the airco, even with the curtains shut to keep the sun out. maybe some extra isolation? would be nice to reduce the noise of the gulls as well. what was wrong with those birds? screaming from way too early in the morning.

Thank you for your review. We feel honoured you took the time to rate our hotel. We aim to provide all ours guests with a warm and personal service. It is truly rewarding to notice we are succeeding. The content of the breakfast basket is more or less standard, but tailored in such a way that there is something in it for everyone. However, you can always indicate your wishes, before or during your stay. We will then take this into account. Thanks again and we hope to welcome you again in our hotel sometime in the future. Kind regards, The Paleis Hotel family

We stayed at Paleis Hotel Den Haag for 3 days. We received emails and notifications from the team regarding our stay, check-in, and parking (which was appreciated because parking spaces are notoriously difficult). Everything was done smoothly. We travelled with our small dog and the wonderful people at the hotel provided us with a blanket and some doggy treats for him as well. The hotel is located in a central location with easy access to all the sights in Den Haag. Because the hotel is in the middle of a crowded, popular street, the noise from outside is heard in the rooms but the hotel provides you with earbuds so it is not a problem. All in all, a wonderful place in an amazing location with lovely people who assist you. Would definitely stay at Paleis Hotel on subsequent trips.

Very friendly and helpful staff, willing to answer any question.
The location is fantastic: right in the middle of the city center. All the important sights are within walking distance.
Our room was hughe with a nice bathroom and decorated in a classic royal style. Breakfast was served every morning in a cute basket and a very tasty way to start our day.
The parking lot near the hotel is very convenient; make a reservation if you travel by car.
We were greatly advised about restaurants and enjoyed two wonderful dinners.

Nice, small and cozy Hotel with atmosphere in the city center of den Hague.
However, they do not serve breakfast, which gives the hotel a big minus. They offer breakfast on cafeteria Anne&Max 2-300 meter away from eighth o’clock in the morning. But serving the food takes 30 minutes there, and to much of the morning is spoiled.
With breakfast, I would have given two points more (top score)
