Detailed Reviews
The hotel was easy to get to, although note that there is a lot of road construction works going on in the area and road closures made me have to circle the area a few times to try to find an entrance to the car park
The check in process was quick & efficient and my room was on the first floor. You have to use your key card in the elevator as well as the door to the corridor, there seems to be a technique to it as I had to put the card into the reader & out again a few times before it worked
The hotel had good Wi-Fi that worked well throughout, although if I remember right, I think it restricted me to only 2 devices
The room had 2 single beds with a beside table in between. I took the bed beside the window as there was more room at that side, the other bed only had a narrow strip at the door.
The room had a lots of storage, coffee facilities, lounge chair and foot rest as well as a table area & chair but the table was quite narrow & it definitely didn’t work for working on a laptop.
It was quite warm when I was there but there is AC/heating & the window fully opens, but you are close to a main motorway so there is traffic noise. I did sleep really well though as the bed was comfy
The bathroom had a good size basin with good space beside for all your toiletries. The shower was more like a wet room beside the sink with a dividing wall. It worked OK & the shower pressure & temperature was good
The hairdryer was small & attached to the wall of the bathroom by the cord. The cord wasn’t long and I had to stand close to the wall to move it around my head, plus could only stand sideways to the mirror. It worked fine, but the annoying thing is you have to hold the button in for it to work which started to get sore and I have shoulder length hair
The hotel has a gym on the first floor, you have to walk along the side of the restaurant to reach it. It consisted of 4 machines, cross trainer, stationary bike, treadmill & rowing machine, which all were pretty good, but there isn’t any more room in the room to do any other exercises. There were no towels when I arrived but someone got some for me, there was limited sanitation to wipe down equipment and there was no water provision
I didn’t have breakfast in the restaurant but I did have dinner there. The dinner menu has a good selection and you get bread to nibble on while you wait. I had a main salad one night, which was nice, but be careful, it was huge with 2 chicken breasts. I also had the the salmon with veg & potatoes, again nice, the potatoes had a creamy sauce on them which I couldn’t identify but was tasty.
The hotel has a small bar as well
Overall this was a comfortable hotel with good facilities

Hotel located next to freeway. Lobby is nice and staff friendly. The gangway on the floors are very old, however the rooms are nice, fresh and looks like renovated. Now carpeted floor, good working aircondition without any noise, clean and nice bathrooms. The walls are very thin so you can hear all the noise happens on the gangway outside the rooms.
For one night it is defenetly recommendable. There is free parking on the hotel property

Service is… quite neutral. I anticipate the non presence of the requested baby bed. Of course it wasn’t there. Service in general was not the best in Netherlands. Hôtel must have been brand new at the time, now it has aged. Good point it is quite safe (closed parking and keys for access to stairs). Quite clean except for some dust. No carpet which is good, except in the hall where it smells like cigaret. For the price on this day, very ok, but it could have excellent value with not much more

We checked in at 8PM with our baby. We got the key to the room and to our surprise the room was disgusting and not cleaned yet. Reception was very sorry, proposed to clean it directly. We went to diner and came back, room still dirty ! It was 10h30 PM meanwhile and still not room ( already payed for). After this they proposed another room, we took it but no form of commercial gesture was proposed ! So we called reception and required a compensation. They offered very embarrassed free breakfast.

Disappointing experience, hotel is run down with very poor cleaning of hotel, room and maintenance. Smoking area just outside the door is not regularly cleaned and full of cigarette butts on the ground. Reception staff very unfriendly, restaurant service pathetic and laundry service had a turnaround of 3 days. I already advised my company not to consider it for future trips

On arrival we needed to wait with 3 guests that receptionist could do the check in. The parking area in front of the hotel is very dirty with cigarettes and carbage, the windows in the room were not cleaned and cleanliness average. Service in restaurant not enough people to work I needed to wait 2h for getting my dish of poor quality. There is a huge lack of management in this hotel … to much money for zero service

This is a great hotel If you need to stay in the area. Friendly, well furnished and good place to stay. It is near the motorway and near to local shops and the metro. Stayed there for a week as I was visiting relatives nearby

We did not expect a lot of this hotel, but it was surprisingly good. Great room, free parking, sound proofing, good beds, nice breakfast the only thing we did not like was the plastic glasses in the room. Great security.

Room dirty and not cleaned before our check in. The guests before must have been very neat, because they arranged the beds and the towels as if they were new. But the next morning after the shower we saw, the towels and laundry have been used.
Also the floors have been polluted in the complete 1st floor including waste, empty bottles and dirty laundry until the next morning.
The staff tried to improve the situation, but they have been totally overstrained, because they had to manage the breakfast for the complete hotel with 3 persons only. That led to the problem that we had to wait for our coffee for nearly 15 minutes, because there were no clean cups.
From my point of view, the hotel group is aiming for quick profit with a minimum of employees at their guest's expenses.
Embarrassing for a 4 star hotel! Never again!

I bave been to Bastion Hotel in Utrecht (3star) and then I went to Bastion Hotel Rotterdam (4star) and everything was the same; no differences in facilities, breakfast, rooms...the prices were not much different either, but do not expect a 4 star experience if you book it.

Canton of Geneva, Switzerland326 contributions223 helpful votesBonjour,
Amicalement
Dear Sir/Madam,
