In short, a mix of hostel and hotel, spacious but cold rooms, decent shower, 10 minutes from the station and 15 from the center. Delayed. The guys at the front desk aren't very motivated, maybe because they work too hard. Place only for young people

The hotel is situated in the city center of Rotterdam, just an 8 minutes walk away from the main railway station. The personnel was friendly and obliging, the rooms were clean and the beds comfortable. Perfect for a short touristic stay in Rotterdam.

I was here for 10 days with my school and no one, including the teachers, were satisfied. We asked to clean, because they made reservations, and obviously they didn't come. In fact, cleaning was non-existent, there were 4 of us in the room and they always left a smaller number of sheets and towels for the shower. Not to mention the cleaning under and above the beds, there are meters and huge piles of dust. The maximum number of people per room, given that it is a hostel, is 6 but if there had been 6 of us in that room with all our suitcases and hand luggage, there would have been no room to move (not even 4 of us where I was). The food is edible, except when they made pasta since we were Italian, the last day. The pasta was all stuck together it looked like slime that didn't move. tragic experience…

300+ euro/night for a hostel “bunk room” is pretty bad. I see they try to maximize revenues by ripping off customers when demand is high but still they should be aware what they have to offer and set their prices reasonably. Receptionists are apparently students who don’t care too much about the service they provide.

I am an old man with a rather heavy luggage. I try to open the lift with a card the recepcionist gave me and I do not succeed, I ask for helo and she says me "Take the stairs!" I said I could not, I am old and the luggage is heavy, I need assistance top open the lift because the card does not work. She came in bad mood complaining that it is my fault and opens the lift (great favour!)

Old carpet, room with no services, small towels and a poster saying they have dissinfected the room prior my arrival (apparently with their type of customers they should do that). I understand poor facilities, but not unpolite attention from the staff.

This hotel is an excellent option in Rotterdam.

Staff: Wonderful and very helpful. I stayed almost a week there, and during this time the staff was very kind and helpful with all my needs and questions about the city and any logistics. I would like to highlight the excellent service offered by Rodrigo, and also thank Sasluci for kindly helping in other occasions.

Location: Very good. It's near Rotterdam Central Station and I think it's 15-20 min walking to the Markthal.

Breakfast: Excellent. Several options to have a good meal.

Room: Very good. It has a good bed, a good distribution of space and a cozy environment. I would only recommend asking for a room not in front of the street because of the tram line. At night, it might be possible to be a bit annoying.

Basic, cheap and clean. Shady people in the foyer. Room was very hot and noisy. All rooms situated at de road side are noisy. There is a single layer of glass in the window with lots of traffic outside. Metro and cars. My experience does not fit the sustainability label that they have.

I've given a 5/5 rating because I really do think this hotel is superb value. I travel often and have stayed in much worse hotels for twice the rate you'll pay here.

Me and my wife stayed in a "basic double room" and my mother in law stayed in a "basic single room" during a 12 night stay in Rotterdam. The hotel is clean and comfortable and the staff are very nice and friendly. There's a nice little bar where you can relax in the evening with a drink and the barman will even put out a nice little tray of nuts for you to have with your beer.

We didn't eat at the restaurant, but only because the hotel is so fantastically located, a 10 minute walk will take you into the center of Rotterdam where there are obviously a vast array of great restaurants. If you're coming into Rotterdam Centraal station, the hotel is 5 mins walk, no need for a taxi, even if you have luggage you can walk it easily. About 3 doors next to the hotel there's a nice little sports bar which I'd recommend if you want to catch any Eredivise, La Liga or Premier League football games while you're in town - this bar literally has every sports channel in existence so if there's a football match going on anywhere in the world you'll be able to watch it here.
Are there better hotels in Rotterdam? Of course there are - for a premium price. But if you're reading this review then what I'm assuming you're looking for is a good quality hotel, well located and at a reasonable price. If that's the case then you'll be absolutely fine here and I highly doubt you'll find a comparable hotel for this price anywhere in Rotterdam, let alone one that is so central.

I would take the negative reviews with a pinch of salt......these are people who expect the world. When you book a mid-range hotel like this one you just have to adjust your expectations slightly. This hotel far exceeded mine for the price paid. Enjoy your stay in Rotterdam it's a marvelous City!

I travel a lor for work and leisure and is the first time I'll write a opinion to criticize a hotel.
I write it beceuse 2 weeks ago 3 people and me sateyd in Hotel Rotterda for 2 nights. On the second night when I arrived to mu room at 9pm, my surprise was my shoes had disappeared of my room. I was lloking for them half an hour (I couldn't believe it). Then I went to reception and explain the situation, I talked about with 2 different people. The only solution they gave to me was to write what had happened and wait until the Operations Manger arrive on Monday.
On Sunday the version was different, the person in reception told me (with bad forms, considering one of their customers had been robbed) that the hotel wouldn't do anything without a complaint in a police station. We have planned all the day before to take our flight to Barcelona, so I decided not to go to the police station for a shoes of 60 euros (maybe if the night before the receptionist had told me thai I would have gone to police station).
The worst of this situation is after 2 weeks the Hotel's manager or the receptionists have apologized.
I can buy more pair of shoes, so I don't have problem with that, but HOTEL ROTTERDAM has a thief working with them, so THE HOTEL HAS A BIG PROBLEM.
