The Savoy Hotel Rotterdam is the best place to stay in Rotterdam. The Hotel, which was recently renovated, is located in the heart of Rotterdam, just a few minutes' walk from the famous Markthal and other well-known attractions of Rotterdam. You will experience the enthusiasm of the city's reconstruction not only because of our hotel's position in the fashionable Hoogkwartier neighborhood, but also because of the retro decor and sixties design it has. The Savoy Hotel Rotterdam is a four-star hotel with 95 rooms ranging in size from modest and compact to lovely and large with a balcony and a spectacular view on the famous Markthal.

I had a very pleasant stay in your hotel. I liked the room which was clean, quiet, tastefully decorated, everything in the room functioned well, and the bed was comfortable. The location of the hotel was great, very near the Markthal, the Cube Houses and other attractions as well as places to eat and shop. – The only odd thing I noticed was the rationing of soap but otherwise everything else was just perfect.

We stayed for 1 night at the Savoy. All of the staff were friendly and helpful - on arrival, at breakfast and on departure. The hotel is clean, modern and the rooms very nicely finished and equipped. It's location means it is only 5/10 minute walk to many of the waterfront cafe's and the Markt Hall. We booked a standard room with breakfast at a non refundable rate of £85 which is very good value for location and standard. Recommended.

We stayed for a night at a the Savoy and were disappointed with our stay. Our room smelled very badly and the hotel tried to mask this by having our window open in the middel of November. The issue was a dysfunctional water seal and the shower briefly on fixed the issue. Bizarre that housekeeping didn’t understand this. Next to this, we were allocated as a couple a twin room (two tiny separate beds). We only saw this when we reached the room and had no energy and go back to reception to ask for a different room (even when we had to pay extra). All in all a disappointing stay.

Dear Mr/Mrs, Thank you for your review. While I wish you had a better experience, we can learn from this feedback and use to improve. I was disheartened to read that our Housekeeping department let us down on this occasion and your feedback has been addressed with our Head Housekeeper who would like to extend her apologies for the shortfall in her departments usual high standards. Please know for your next visit that if you are not satisfied you can call out host/hostess 24/7 from your room. We always give our the guest the rooms that they book their selves. Hopefully we will see you again in Savoy Hotel Rotterdam. With warm regards, Nicoline Montanus General Manager

Together with a friend I stayed at this hotel. It was easy to reach with public transport and the neighbourhood was fairly quiet.
At arrival we were welcomed by staff, they explained to us how we could check in (it was through a online programme on their computer) we went through the covid checklist and received our keycard.

Unfortunately the hotel wasn't serving dinner do to the current restrictions but we were able to order snacks if we wanted to.

The lady at the front desk explained the rules and also said that if we wanted to order food to make sure we add the hotel room in the order so that she could gives us a call when our food arrived.

We enjoyed our stay.

The hotel is 5 minutes walking from the city center, it has a garage just in front of it. Rooms are nice and the staff is friendly. For breakfast, I think for covid reasons, you receive a pre-assembled dish with a little bit of everything which in my opinion is a waste. Maybe I just want two croissant with jam, there is no need to bring me just one croissant then eggs, sausage, cheese, ham..

We stayed here for 3 nights with our 6 month old baby. The room was perfect and they had a cot bed set up ready for us when we got there. She slept very well in there, which was great for us. The heating in the room was very good, so it was nice and cosy for us.

The bathroom was lovely, with a very spacious shower. The room also had a hairdryer, kettle and coffee machine, which was useful.

The location was pretty good. It's a short walk from Markthal and has plenty of shops and restaurants around. We got there using the tram from Rotterdam central station, which was quick and easy to use.

We did have a bit of an issue on the first night with some noisy guests next door playing loud music until 2am. We called reception and they dealt with it very quickly.

We didn't have the breakfast, so can't comment on how it is. We did find it a bit pricey at €17 per person.

A couple of things I think they could improve - the cleaner didn't replace our dirty mugs and glasses, or fill up the tea bags, which would have been helpful.

The hotel is conveniently situated close to the Rotterdam Blaak market area, with train, subway, & tram links close by. The checking in process is computerised, but Reception staff are on hand to guide the new guest. My room was on the top floor, with a commanding view of the Rotterdam skyline.
The staff were friendly & helpful, & gave useful advice on getting around the city. They were good company in the bar in the evenings.
The breakfasts were excellent. When I asked the chef for a fried egg, she provided 2!

The Savoy Hotel is lovely and in a great location, near to Markthal and lots of restaurants. The room was very comfortable and also quirky with a record player and a few vinyl records to choose from. Breakfast was a very nice buffet selection of hot and cold food. All the staff were friendly and helpful throughout our stay.

Booked this hotel very last minute due to a mix up with other accommodation. Staff were friendly and helpful upon arrival, room was clean, the bed was very comfortable and the shower was great. The room was also thoroughly cleaned each day. Staff gladly called taxis as and when needed (the drivers turned up in brand new Mercedes wearing suits and ties, nice touch!). Bar was well stocked and carried cheaper prices than I’d experienced out in the city.

All round flawless experience and would certainly stay again!

I stayed three times in Jan and Feb 22, and each time the room was not clean (bathroom stained, bed linen with old stains and hair). The breakfast buffet has become dreadful - overcooked scrambled eggs lying there for hours, no bread. The rooms by the elevator are small and noisy - they shouldn't even be on offer. Staff is uninterested in helping, if you complain they will act as if it's a nuisance for them - or your fault. Really don't bother with this hotel.
