We stayed at the Bilderberg Parkhotel on the 25/Dec/19 for 5 nights. The reason we booked was the quality standard and price, which matched the economy hotels. We were in Rotterdam for the birth of our first grandchild at the Erasmus Medical Centre. The hotel location was excellent being only a 10 minute walk from the hospital, within easy walking distance of the centre attractions, but just outside any noise created by bars. We were upgraded to a room in the tower, which have tea and coffee making facilities. Our room, 6078 on the 7th floor, overlooked the Eendrachtsplein with a wonderful city view. The metro and trams were just outside the hotel entrance so that transport anywhere was very easy and once again produced no problem noise. In addition, the soundproofing between rooms was very good. However, the main reason for this 5* review is the hotel staff. Once they knew we were awaiting the birth of our grandchild, they were excited as us. Slema was the first receptionist and Mark the second. Once Mark knew the baby had been born, he congratulated us and arrange a gift for us and the baby. The hotel should be proud of his commitment to customer relations. I would recommend the Parkhotel to anyone visiting Rotterdam for business or pleasure

Great location: in the city center, right next to metro stop, street car stop and bus stop. Walking distance from Central Station. Very convenient location to either explore the city by foot or easily move around using public transportation. Room was very spacious, however the mini fridge didn't work and the AC controls would not allow for the temperature to be adjusted. Had several unpleasant encounters with staff even after following their instructions. For example: we got food from a nearby store and asked for silverware to eat in our room. Front desk told us to ask the bartender, when asking him he got angry, told us he was too busy and that we should have asked the front desk.

My work has required me to work in Rotterdam for much of the current Pandemic. I have been staying at this hotel on and off for the past years, but I wanted to make a point of the extra effort the staff have taken to keep me safe while feeling welcome. Due to the travel restrictions my stays in the hotel have extended and the hotel has made many little touches to make my longer stays nicer.
I would recommend anyone to come here, within the rules. And one free travel is allowed I will be returning with my family..

The hotel is well located in Rotterdam central, right straight from the train station and beside one of the Metro station (Eendrachtsplein). The personnel in the hotel are very attentive to provide a great service and it is very used for business purpose. The included breakfast is just perfect! With a good variety of choices!

I compared 13 hotels in Rotterdam and this one and the Marriott were the best, so if you couldn´t get or couldn´t pay a room in the Mariott stay here! For breakfast they have their own ham and own roastbeef from exorbitant quality, own marmelade (7 sortes!), tasty Coffee and fresh squeezed orange juice. Gym was to hot but maybe I just had to say something to someone. Sauna was good. Room was chosen 2 hours before the official check in time out of 3 possible room types. I loved the view, the furniture and last but not least the DAMPF audio system because I listen to music every day and just had big sweaty headphones or uncomfortable in ears the last days.

The hotel is right in the center. My company prepaid for everything (parking, breakfast, etc.) for a fixed rate. While checking in the employee was not able to find the information and tried to give me a different rate and pay extra for services that are actually included. (all forgiven, mistakes happen)
When entering the room, I was not expecting to be put into the basement. In the morning at 8 am employees were walking in front of the window, which was very unpleasant. Especially going from the bathroom to the bedroom.

1. At the day of checkin when I enter the room the aircons were non functional. On calling the receptionist the staff was very unprofessional. He asks me where do I come from and nationality on complaining about the aircons non functional and no ventilation as windows in the delux room. The next thing he informs me that you should not require a air con as the temperature is between 25-30 degrees. On clearly mentioning that the room specification has a air condition and the room has no windows hence there is no ventilation in the room.
2. Later after 1 hour complaining they inform me that we will send out fans. When the technician arrived I did inform him the situation and he said the aircons are non functional hence at the entrance of the door outside a room there was a stand fan kept as the same was the issues faced by the clients who stayed last night. I asked for a room change immediately they denied saying we do not have a room and after my office calling them up ( as I had a booking for 6 nights) stating this is not what the company paid for the next move they do is ask my wife who was in the hotel to move to a standard room without informing her that they are down grading the room. After an hour they call the my company who did the booking stating that the guest accepted the standard room. It literally made no sense arguing with the crazy staff. In the standard room the bath tub drain was jammed and all the water was clogged. 3. At the time of checkout the lifts stop functioning and the hotel says they donot have technician on duty to fix it and the next available technician will be available after 8.30am. We had no option but to drag our bags from the stairs as they had no staff available and the receptionist was too busy later the receptionist was kind enough to come and help me out as we had a tough time getting out our luggage from the stairs.

The hotel is an old one but it is renovated however windows of some rooms are not openable. The staff is very friendly and helpful. The breakfast is very good though breakfast room is a bit small and crowded on weekend mornings.

The service at this hotel is phenomenal. The staff are friendly, attentive, and always willing to go the extra mile to make your stay memorable. The room was clean and contemporary, and had a balcony with a beautiful view of the gardens. The hotel is located in central Rotterdam, a stone's throw from the location of many major museums and close to most attractions, shopping, restaurants. A terrific stay with no downsides. We'll be back!

Mark at check-in went far above in service, getting a maid to clean my room early for check in, giving me an upgrade, printing the ferry schedule for the Kinderdijk windmills and making restaurant recommendations. If only every hotel had someone like Mark! The hotel is lovely and comfortable. A block away is a Foodie paradise street. With lots of outdoor restaurants.

We do have a laundry service at the hotel.
You can find laundry bags in your room with the laundry form for registration.
Every morning at 09:00 AM the laundry will be picked up. When it's finished our Front Desk staff will bring it to your room. This will be at the end of the same day.
There are also some self service laundry facilities in the city. The one closest by the hotel is a 15 minute walk.
